Since then he's gone and made multiple dupe accounts to evade his ban and spam our forums with his juvenile blather. His garbage is easy enough to pick up and incinerate and I find great joy in dismantling the vapid shenanigans of his multiple dupe accounts.
However, it would seem his activity has evolved somewhat. We already knew in some of his threats that he'd gather some friends from some of his Internet haunts be they YTMND or perhaps here for instance, and if those were his friends they were fairly easy to thwart. But now some of them claim to be from FFShrine and that they declare war in the name of this very forum upon us. I find their credibility to be very laughable however the slight remote possibility that Shively has convinced your membership to take up arms and cross the seas of this series of tubes. I'm sure some of you are aware of Gamingforce or at least its audio side. I know for a fact that we share some long-time members. I know I've spoken with your owner before.
Anywhoo it would seem that what I'm going to assume is Shively and co are trying to stir things up between us by making accounts on our forum that would indicate that they come from FFShrine to invade and spout nonsense. In the meantime they've also created accounts to resemble key members from our forums to spam FFShrine. Yup 1 Ip address and it was banned from Gamingforce after I created a Dupe account. When I visit Gamingforce it displays a white can not connect page. I don't hold any Ill against gamingforce but don't care for a few of the members there.

Everybody knows I left here because I thought it would be kool to open a FTP. Little did I know it was flooded with tons of questions from people who did not read the FAQ. Also I had issue with a few people and simply left but forgot to turn off subscribe.. I also recieved a few emails from people at Gamingforce both Rude and respectable.
Who ever is pretending to be me or using names close to Banetek/Shively is an asshole. I admit I created one dupe account to try to get the final word and to say a few byes which I already admitted . I also recieved emails that pasted some of the shit I supposedly said, stuff that would make hitler throw up a little.
I won't sit arround and be somebodys emotional tampon, absorbing the shit so yea I will defend my self and take responsibility for my actions. Its pretty simple what happend. I got angry, argued with a few people and was banned. I left after saying bye and thats that. Not the end of the world, I'm still able to share my music other places and life goes on. No hard feelings to gamingforce with exception to the asshole pretending to be me.

I suspect the poster was annoyed, as they didn't see anything wrong with either rerequesting the song or asking for proper labeling and felt that you were butting in. The reaction does seem somewhat extreme, but if you're asking for some sort of disciplinary action or something against the poster, it's unlikely to happen.

Flux -- probably. To avoid this sort of thing in the future, I would just recommend that everybody right click on the name of the poster in the box over on the left and copy the link location-- that'll make sure the correct address is posted.

Actually, I would prefer that people link to profiles using the method I described because if they just link to a post, sometimes it may be in an area that somebody who's trying to investigate it doesn't mod, and so if they click it, they don't get any access. But if the profile is linked, then they can see posts potentially in other areas that they do mod.

Because if the thread and/or post has already been deleted and it's in a section that you don't mod, then you just get a message saying that an invalid link was followed and there isn't any way to see who it was that posted it. That's why I'd prefer it if people posted the profile. That way, I can be sure of getting into their post list and at least taking care of the ones that I can, and meanwhile, anyone else that's a mod for a particular section can take care of any posts that haven't yet been deleted in sections that they mod.

Hmm. I don't think this is your standard grade spammer. It looks like somebody who's actually been registered and has posted normally for quite a while and just isn't aware of the rules about this sort of thing. I deleted one of the threads in the one section I was able and I'll send him a warning. (We used to have some sort of thread or something specifically directing against starting threads about these GameFAQs character battle things, but I can't seem to find it.) In the meantime, if somebody could clean up the rest, please?

It's possible, but the problem is that if you just link to the last poster, then if somebody who's only a mod and not an admin deletes some of the user's posts, but isn't able to delete all of them, then if somebody else who's only a mod tries to get at it, they may find that they can no longer trace it because they don't have the privilege of viewing deleted posts in that particular section. It really just makes it a lot easier if everybody would just use the procedure I recommended, which is to right click on the username of the offending account and copy that address, rather than doing the "last post" thing.
