Thanks! I've been retagging and resorting all of my vgm for maximum accuracy, and I put this one off for towards the end because it's pretty vague, but here's some info I pieced together if anyone's interested:

The PC Engine original was composed by Hisao Inoue, Jun Hasebe, and Shingo Murakami, and has individual track credits.
The SMD port's in-game credits say Takaharu Umezu, Michiko Naruke, and Minoru Yuasa were responsible for "Music" with Shinobu Ogawa as "Music director".


I did a quick comparison of the SMD rip to the official PC Engine soundtrack (which might not include all tracks). I figured out this much:

"Prologue" is an arrangement of "Prelude to Valis" by Hisao Inoue
"Title" is an arrangement of "Opening Theme" by Hisao Inoue
"Ningenkai (Human World)" is an arrangement of "1st Trap" by Jun Hasebe
"Mugenkai (Dreamland)" is an arrangement of "Valis Sword!" by Shingo Murakami
"Tower of Gul" is an arrangement of "The Battle of Valis Part 2" by Shingo Murakami
"Sutherland" is an arrangement of "2nd Trap" by Jun Hasebe
"Makai (Dark World)" is an arrangement of "The Battle of Valis Part 3" by Shingo Murakami
"Iceland" is an arrangement of "The Battle of Valis Part 4" by Shingo Murakami
"Tower of Glames" is an arrangement of "The Battle of Valis Part 1" by Shingo Murakami

The rest may be original works by Takaharu Umezu, Michiko Naruke, Minoru Yuasa, and Shinobu Ogawa. I'm not sure, and my ears are a little burnt out.
