Here are the soundtracks of Streets of Rage 1, 2, and 3, recorded from the headphone jack of a model 1 Genesis with a VA3 revision motherboard. Audio was captured using a Behringer U-Phono UFO202 and Audacity 2.0.1. Aside from some volume optimization, this is raw audio straight from an actual console, no emulation. Each looping track was allowed to play twice, then given a 10-second fade-out. Tracks are named and ordered according to the official OST (http://vgmdb.net/album/33417).

Note - I've freshly re-ripped SOR2 from my VA3 console, and thanks to my MED I've included an original rip of the Walking Bottom track from the SOR2 beta.

It's not just this one either, so far it also does it on the Altered Beast re-rip. Might be for all of them.

My apologies, everyone. Rapidshare made some changes to their access rights system, so I had to go in and move everything to a new folder and manually switch it to public access. I think the issue has been fixed now. I'm also uploading to DepositFiles; that link should be up by this afternoon.

Sorry, no Killer Instinct. I have the Killer Kuts CD, but that's it. I'll keep KI in mind, though, if I ever do any SNES rips.

Huge thanks for these! Can you do me a tiny favor though? Re-record any track that uses "hi-hats" for about a minute from Streets of Rage 2 (Go Straight, for example) in 44.1khz instead of 48khz and see if there's any audible difference in the hi-hats. In all rips and official releases of SoR2's soundtrack, the hi-hats vary in sound so I'm wondering if it's the same case with the 48khz recording.

The thing you're doing is just fantastic, The Iron Goat. Thank you so much. Kudos to you for FLAC and especially for Behringer U-Phono UFO202. It's hard to think of a better setup for this purpose! The only thing that bothers me is those pesky upload sites. I bet they'll bring the files down :( Could you please by any chance also think about recording 'Dune: the battle for Arrakis' and maybe some game from the Sonic series?
