PS: It turns out the chain does still exist, eking out an existence in the Northeast. But it is unclear if they still offer the Krunch Pup (correct spelling) on their menu. It seems to be up to the individual outlet, and many seemed to have declined. Which is odd considering that they share space with Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs.
In any event, I haven't been able to get one in forever. Until now.
