As you can tell. The Frieza-Ginyu Beat Parts are recorded from the episode where they play with no sfx with no DVD isolation. The track named "Frieza-Ginyu Beat" is full track but DVD isolated missing instruments. I Then combined the episode recorded stuff non editied and the full dvd isolated track to get that. I also had to combine the intro and ending myself.

Second, johnny-sasaki, I could be wrong, but I think both of those tracks have been released on official CDs. There's a song called "Vegeta's Vision" from one of the Best of DBZ CDs that I think is the Vegeta track you were looking for. Not as confident on the other one, though. Can you provide YouTube links to those scenes so we can hear what plays during them?

To be honest I dont think the oceandub tracks are obtainable man. They aren't present on the red brick DVD sets we're ripping the music from. Unless I am incorrect. But yea man I hate to break the news to ya. There was a CD release of the ocean dub music. I'll try and look for it.

Cool. Thanks for the reply, man. I asked on this thread, since someone on YouTube ripped Goku's arrival song, which I couldn't find in the Ocean Dub songs.

Can I try to help you guys with the music ripping? After a few tutorials, of course. If I can rip the tracks, I might find the song I mentionned.

There used to be Ocean Dub dvd sets like 5 years ago before Funimation fully got the rights. Whether or not you can get hold of them is going to be tricky you can find the Ocean Dub Episodes on megaupload but they aren't in great visual quality the sounds not bad but whether the people making the rips would be willing to consider is up to them there was a project like this but for the Ocean Dub set up on youtube but the rips weren't that great. But if you fail to track the Ocean Dub dvds down try the Megaman series that Ocean Dubbed because from the Android Saga to the end of the series used some tracks from the Megaman OST.

Its good to see you guys aren't letting constraints hold you back I wish i knew how to do the audio rips because i have all the episodes. Jochem have you thought about doing rips for the Ocean Dub because I myself wouldn't mind some of the tracks being ripped for instance in the Ocean Dubs Seized With Fear episode alot of the music was fitting and mysterious. Don't get me wrong i enjoy a lot of the Faulconer tracks but Ocean Dub did have its moments.

Btw Ganton I don't think Faulconer losing the rights to his music is completely true. Mainly for the fact that he still sells his CDs on his site. If he lost the rights to re-produce his music they'd have been taken down by now.

No he has lost his rights to his music that he submitted to Funimation for the Dub but the terms of his contract not being renewed means he can't put out any new soundtracks but they can't stop him selling the already released soundtracks. Who knows from what i know thats whats being said oveerall but whether or not Faulconer has commented is another matter.

Idk if you watch pro wrestling or not, but take WWE for example. Up until 2002 they were called WWF, but in a lawsuit with the world wildlife foundation the world wrestling federation was forced to change its intials since the world wildlife foundation had the intials before WWF. So WWF could no longer say or show the intials WWF on TV, BUT in regards to do that they could no longer sell anything that had the WWF logo on it. They had to replace all of it with WWE logos. So now all older WWE DVDs with the WWF scratch logo released by WWE have the WWF logo blurred out. If that makes sense.

Also Faulconer has never commented on it and neither has funimation. It's second hand information. I've heard of it too, but in all honesty Faulconer probably released everything he wanted to release. Most composers seem to speak out against full score releases because they feel they want to represent only the best of there music or what best represents there music. Although I agree that leaving tracks like Frieza-Ginyu Beat, Vegeta's Final Atonement, and Frieza's theme out makes no sense because they were used so many times through out the series, but that's the way it works usually.

It could also be that Faulconer released all the tracks he had in his position. He may have not been sent all of the DBZ tracks and just worked with what he had, but then again who knows. Like you said there is no official report.

No worries but I do get what your saying. The only issue is that Faulconer still has a lot of good stuff to put out if he classes some of the stuff in the best of CD's as the best of the score then thats ridiculous either way thank you YoYoBoy and everybody else who has made rips from the series.

(2) Concerning Faulconer's licensing rights, here's the gist of it. Faulconer's music is all owned by Funimation. Funimation allowed him to release the 9 CDs he put out on his own. They have since refused to allow him to release any more, probably because the contract between the two parties expired. To that end, the terms of the original contract would allow Faulconer to continue selling CDs already produced in the 4-year timespan during which he released those CDs, but he would be precluded from releasing any more from that point forward absent an agreement to the contrary. In other words, it's legally Funimation's music. They took a cut of the money he made off the CDs back when he was selling them as a licensing fee. It doesn't matter in this case that Faulconer Productions Music created the music; it only matters that it was all sold to Funimation via the terms of the original contract.

All this legal talk gives me a headache. xD It would just be nice if Funimation allowed Bruce to release at least 1 more CD, covering most of the unreleased tracks (preferably) from the Frieza saga, and Cell saga. Here's some tracks I'd personally like to see.

1.) Frieza-ginyu Beat (Extended mix) - I don't know if any of you ever noticed this version. To my knowledge it only played once, the scene where Gohan saves Bulma from the flying debris on Namek, on his way to the spaceship, after SSJ goku told him to leave. It had an extra flute instrument included.

They have been ripped yes, BUT they'll never be better quality than what we would get on CDs. (But to agree with you. Some of these have now been ripped in pretty amazing quality)

Its episode 245 - Super Saiyan 3!? The theme starts round about 4:50 to 9:45 that depends on your episode settings though thats including having the recap at the beginning of the episode.

YoYoBoy that is an extremely good job you've done with this rip Jochems was pretty good even though some voices were noticeable but only if you had it going through speakers quite loud. Yours though i think people at a first listen would think faulconer had released it on a cd.

Both of those tracks I believe are released on the CDs. Check Piccolo Vs Android 17 and Super Namek. If not that part is unobtainable anyway. I've tried to get it too because some one told me it was unreleased and it sounds all jumbled. I'll try again tho.

Also Ganton thanks for that. CoyCoy's rips usually end up being better and more precise. I was just making sure it wasn't released on any of the CDs.

I know that. I ripped a different track. There was a couple of different tracks that played as they were talking. Also the version of Back at the Lab I have up with these is unreleased. It has added instruments.

And btw to let people know. I tried to rip the 1st season of DBZ with the american nathan jones music. For some reason they mastered the DVDs different. There's lots of sfx in the background with the music. So the hopes of Nathan Jones music is slim.

No worries the Nathan Jones music lacks the epic feeling about that you get with the Faulconer Soundtracks or the Shuki Levi who did the Saiyan Saga and early part of the Namek Saga for Ocean Dub.

Me too CoyCoy. It bugs the crap outta me. It's such a cool track. I wonder why Season Six was remastered so much differently than all the other seasons? It seems like each season was remastered a little differently tho. Some shit that would leak into songs in certain seasons wouldn't in others if that makes sense.

And btw CoyCoy. It sounds like you also have trouble ripping Ginyu Powers Up as Goku with all the instrumentals intact. Maybe it's just me, but it sounds like an instrument is missing when I compare our ripped versions to what plays untouched during the episode.

I have a request its from the Mysterious Youth during the first minute of the episode its the music played during the Z Fighters Flight to where Frieza is landing. It seems to be connected to King Colds theme now CoyCoy88 has ripped this but its only in one of his youtube videos for like 40 seconds and hasn't been released in a link yet. Whether this is due to him not having fully finished it yet or upload problems is unknown but it is one of the themes that stood out for me during the entire series.

Ah, I know what track your talking about. That trumpet-sounding ending to the unreleased track "Frieza Powers Up". I've had that one ripped for a long while, I just never got around to uploading it, mostly due to my horrible limited internet provider, lol. Sadly, the trumpet gets cut out for the most part when ripped, because most of that instrument was put onto the same sound channel as the voices/sound effects.

That rip was extremely rushed, lol.... ^^; but I actually took my time this go around, and re-ripped it. Hey i'd like to make 2 requests please.

The first one is from Episode 119 The Mysterious Youth the track plays as the episode starts with Gohan Flying to where Frieza will land on earth it lasts around a minute in total and seems to be part of the King Cold Theme which in turn reverts back to a scene with the track playing when the other Z Fighters are flying to the landing site.

My Second Request is from Episode 244 Race To Capsule Corp the track plays just as Goku is having the stand off with buu and babadi after the majin buu theme plays at around 15-16 minutes

My Third Requeest is from the same episode but at the start when Goku is talking to Trunks and Goten about the Fusion technique a longer version of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber Theme plays.

Haha relax man. If you're ripping it the right way you're going to run into tracks that are unobtainable and there's a good chance he just released what he felt was his best work. He may have felt certain tracks weren't CD worthy. The only way to ever get any more tracks would be to write a kind and professional email to Funimation requesting the release of more tracks. Don't name tracks you want either. But multiple people need to send in emails requesting the release of more bruce faulconer tracks. Or they need to email bruce faucloner and do the same thing. But like said these emails can't be "PLz release frieza-ginyu beat!" because funimation won't know what the heck that means and Bruce Faulconer may not either since all of our track titles are fake. But professional emails that are spell checked and properly written could work.

and btw on a side note. Everyone calls the track Frieza-Ginyu beat...how the heck did it get that dub? It actually befuddles me haha. I don't see how it could be used for that at all. It wasn't used when Ginyu was defeated. It wasn't used when Frieza was defeated. It actually was only used for Frieza when he confronted Guru and then for the rest of the namek saga it was used when it was showing Namek becoming unstable. It was then picked back up later in the android saga where it was used for Android 16 a whole lot of the time. Haha so where did we come up with Frieza-Ginyu Beat? Not trying to bash anyone, but just wondering.

Anyway, I was told that most of the early faulconer stuff (like the BGM that played during Ginyu and Goku's battle for example) didn't even have names to them. Here, I'll copy.N paste what a lil something Scott Morgan (Morganstudios) told me on the Daizenshuu forum.

Me - Hey Scott, would you happen to know if this track (I was referring to this track. (http://www.4shared.com/audio/JdERuZhW/_Unreleased__Captain_Ginyu_Vs_.html)) was a part of the released track, "Piccolo Vs. Freeza"? Because they sound a lot alike.

Him - Keep in mind with those first bit of shows that Faulconer Productions did, there was no library to draw from. They were just writing music straight from beginning to end. There were no track names, just huge 20 minute files with a commercial bumper in the middle. Where one "track" begins and one "track" ends when split out from the larger episode's music is actually kind of a subjection decision, especially when it was done by an editor like myself and not the original composer.

Me - This is the released track, "Ginyu Transformation" but with the unreleased intro, that played in the Anime. I wonder why this full version of the track was never released? :(

Him - I'm pretty sure it was me who chose where to start "Ginyu Transformation". I think I named it as well..which was a dumb choice because it was more like "Ginyu's Change Now Music". Anyway, I used to use that hit at the beginning quite a lot in the Freeza saga and I just wanted a way to get to it easily. I could just go "plop" with the new split out file and the hit would be there. Later it conveniently became an easy file to plop onto a music CD. That's how I bet most of the older tracks got released, they were popular enough with the editors to have been split out for easy access, and were easy to drag'n'drop into a project to make a CD. If the music was never split out for easy editing, it probably never made it into a CD compilation. That's why a lot of the older stuff was never released.

Heh, what sucks is that all these unreleased tracks are just sitting on a computer(s) at FUNimation, gathering virtual dust lmao! xD Why not make some extra profit by releasing some of these faulconer tracks? There is a demand for it, all they would have to do is look up on a site like Youtube to see that. If the unreleased Frieza-Cell saga tracks were to actually be released... Me (personally) would like Scott Morgan, and Mike Smith to be put in charge for choosing which unreleased tracks to release (that is....If they were up to it, lol) since those two basically did most of the arranging, editing and the work on these songs. They know even more about those tracks than Bruce does, most likely.

As you can see all the Dream Theater songs are there, basically the original CD recordings with all the vocal sections cut out - left the instrumental parts as is even if they didn't feature so much in the special.
For other parts I just ripped the audio from a poor avi source (correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the dvd audio has separated the voice from the bgm in the broadcast edition).
Also, some of the credits on the dvd were labelled incorrectly or just plain faked (no idea why).
There was a 3-cd release 2001 with a lot of image songs, remixes and the like but haven't been able to find it in full - only partially on imeem.

The one you have for Goku Piccolo and Gohan training is good, but theres another part I was looking for and was disappointed because it was not in.
I just looked it up, it's in the episode "Goku's Special Technique," episode 108 at about 18 minutes in, maybe a little later. The theme it plays when Gohan starts to get up and says he wants to train more before cutting to the aerobics class Yamcha is watching.

That said, on an earlier page of this thread, I think someone posted a really good version of the whole thing with the Buu part intact. It's the only time I can ever recall hearing a version of it with that part clear. Search for "Atonement" in this thread or something and you might find it.

SO FINALLY. I represent to you my first rips. Ok I need honest and real feed back here. Because my head phones aren't very good. Hey has anybody attempted to rip the music for Bardock the Father of Goku yet. Especially looking for the tracks featured during the Oozaru raid on Kanassa, Vegeta's training with the Saibamen, Bardock emerging from the aftermath of Dodoria's blast, and Frieza's destruction of Vegeta. Also looking for the track that plays as Super Buu surveys the Earth from atop the Lookout from the episode Empty Planet. Its basically an extended version of Mystery of the Z Sword from DBZ: Buu the Majin Sagas. Also I got Sony Vegas Production Suite and I've been attempting to remove dialogue from that scene myself but nothings working so far. Any tips as I really want to try my hand at this as well.

Whoever, I am not such a fanboy, but I am open minded enough to be able to rip the Ocean Dub seasons of DBZ other soundtracks. The said and stupid thing is that..... teh guy simply recicled Megaman 90ts show soundtrack and used it in DBZ. I am not sure in which season though. But it is still stupid. These guys are called musicians??

Anyway, I am currently working and collecting the unreleased tracks of DBZ and Dragon Ball, the Japanese original version.

What I'm looking for is the music, not the metal etc., but the score music from the Broly movies ... I like some of the bands featured in the dbz movies, but it clashes so bad :-/

Some movies, in america, stayed with the original japanese soundtrack. At least the 3 first movies have the original soundtrack.

OK EVERYONE
I know most of you have been asking fro re-ups of the shared files in here. I have not re-uploaded none of them, because I have been working in custom albums made and produced by myself.
For now I worked in 4 Volumes (to work as 4 albums) and each of them has a unique fan remix as first track and theme of the Album. Right after that I am introducing some interesting bonus tracks. Bruce Falcouner works were also played in some Game Boy Advance games. So I am adding "some" (not all) that fit the album itself according to the ripped music done there.
The cover and booklets are being worked in same line as the original Bruce's releases. Same as Colors and such.
I have been editing some of the rips, cut some noises and some glitches. But that is not that simple to work on. :(
the first volume will be ready soon. After I finish my "Mortal Kombat Konquest" and "Dragon Ball" projects.

i know its supposed to be the song named "Time Chamber" thats on Bruce Faulconer Trunks Compendium Soundtrack, but the wierd thing is

I know that it won't be perfect and that some sound effects or music may leak over, but i would really like to try to make some AMVs and use the voices from the episodes. You know, I should have asked this earlier but the unreleased music I was looking for is the Bruce Falconer American soundtrack. Several of the Funimation DVD menus had music never released on CD.
Has anyone ever attempted ripping those tracks from the DVDs?

Anyway thanks, i may have all of these already but only one way to find out.

So I just went out and bought a Remastered set soley for ripping the unreleased version of 'Vegeta knows his son' played during the Android/Cell sagas. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to ripping these tracks? I've been trying to use Audacity, but the Faulconer audio is just stereo with the voices thrown in...

frankly, i forgot if i already asked this but:

has that organ solo that is featured prominently in one of freezer's namek monologues ever been releaseD? i THINK that wasnt the first time it was played, but thats the most i remember it since the freezer saga was the most repeated season over here, and its one of the themes that were played like 4 times in the entires series}.
btw thats on the original jp music.
