YoYoBoy, if you plan on putting together a whole .rar or .zip file of your ripped music, I'd actually recommend uploading to MegaUpload, which has a substantially higher file size cutoff than Rapidshare. To avoid MegaUpload's deletion of your file, just name the file something like dbzu.rar and give the whole thing a vague name when you upload it, like dbzunrlsd or something. That will save you the hassle of uploading multiple packages, and it's much quicker to download.

Yeah, don't spend money on a MegaUpload account. It's unnecessary. The .zip or .rar file would probably be somewhere around 325-350MB, which can be uploaded to MegaUpload. If I had the internet connection I have when I'm at school, I'd actually do it for you, but my parents' house's connection isn't that fast.

My friend said I could use his Megaupload account, the same guy who let me use his for my first DBZ uploads. So I'm going to make a huge .rar file and then upload it onto there.

Ok here is a question because I've been noticing it lately. How could I make these links more organized, should I no longer give descriptions of the themes and just post links? I prefer descriptions because not everyone is a freak like me and can tell you when most of it was used. So it's kinda helpful to know what you're listening to. But I hate how it's organized. Can't get Piccolo Vs 17 in full, the song is much to distorted, the main instruments go missing when I turn the DVD into 5.1 surround sound from Stereo.

and I can do GT Music, a lot of it is distorted though. I tried season 1, got a lot of sound effects, but I do have both GT Season Sets released, I guess I could start taking themes if people wanted them that bad.

there is a good variation of intro to closing music on episode 175 of season 6 right when they are flying to the cell games and meet up with yamcha and tien. Its only like a minute but if u can get it that would be nice.

I just uploaded alot of his music on my Youtube account, for any of you interested in listening to them. They are HQ Stereo btw. Around 6-10 updates on this one. Some pretty badass shit. I got the entire music played while Super Vegeta beats the crap out of Imperfect Cell, well most of it. Not all of it is unreleased, but I just like how everything combines. A couple of edits posted, I extended the Sayian Theme, full version of Ginyu Transformation, much more.

Wow, lately I've been looking around the internet for unreleased DBZ tracks like these. I have to say that I'm very impressed with these rips. You've done an excellent job ripping so far.

When you're not busy ripping from the DBZ movies you recently got, I have a small request. Remember that song that played after Goku was finished healing during the Frieza Saga (Season Three)? Would it be possible for you to rip that song up through the part where he blasts out of Frieza's ship and is amazed by his new strength?

I've gone through the DVDs as well, but the problem with them is that a lot of the clips are really short (:30 or less). The sought-after Goku vs. Cell aerial battle theme, for instance, is included in the Lord Slug DVD menu, but it's only 15 seconds. Still, compiling the unreleased stuff from those would be a neat project.

Thanks for the upload guys! Can you guys do some Great Saiyaman Saga BGM's? There's a couple that I really want. Like the one theme in "I'll Fight Too!" where Goku announces he'll be back for a whole day. Btw what do you mean being so generious in the past? You mean he use to give people unreleased tracks? Or took request for things to be on the next CD release?

Bruce practically filled up the 'best of dbz' volumes with requests from fans. in an interview Bruce said he was getting calls in the middle of the night from fans asking about tracks. I think thats why volume 5 had heaps of obscure songs that hardly ever even featured in the show, probably because they were requested by fans. Bruce has replied to several letters ive sent to him, dont know why he didnt reply to u. He said he was gonna add that goku vs cell aerial battle theme (also used when goku ssj fights frieza), cause i requested it. then the volume 7 got dropped because his contract expired and funiamtion didnt feel the need to renew it. Did u know that Faulconer Productions and Funimation went to court about it? Bruce noted that it was his music and expressed his right to sell it, but funimation disagreed and said that they own it now that they have brought it from him and his contract is over. Apparently the courts made Funimation pay Faulconer quite a bit of money in compensation for CD sales that he didnt get to make (apparently it was in the millions).

I figured most of the music from this season had already been released considering how many tracks I skip through when listening to the CDs. Looking forward to hearing what you were able to get!



Couldn't. Agree. More. For every awesome, kickass track that people seemed to really want to have released, there was always some Trunks & Goten stuff wasting space on the CDs. But look at the bright side: instead of getting the full version of Gohan Angers or a clean version of Frieza- Ginyu Beat, we were treated to classics like "Trunks and Goten" and "Group Watches." Can't wait for your update! I arranged all of the DBZ music I have so far into a playlist so that I can listen to the music from the series in roughly the order that the tracks play while you're watching it on TV. A lot of your rips are indistinguishable from the official stuff, and that makes them amazing in my book.

trunks and goten had some pretty neat themes, the one off vol. 4 is actually pretty cool, lots of saxaphone in their tracks. but i agree that many of the popular themes got pushed aside to make room for these odd tracks.

I've always wanted it too. I love the DB music, I know there was a 5 CD set that contained some of the DB score along with the original Japanese DBZ score. There's probably gonna be a lot of work to do since no good solid CD is out that I know of. Can't wait.

I won't personally upload that stuff because it's all commercially available domestically (and, unlike the rest of the DBZ music, probably protected by the RIAA). That said, I know that a decent amount of music from movies 4 and 5 can be found on Disturbed: The Sickness and Drowning Pool: Sinner. The first Broly movie had music from a bunch of bands, but the one that sticks out is called Tendril; their CD is called Anaphase, Baby. They did the remix of Faulconer's DBZ Theme for the opening, along with one of the main battle tracks.

Ok just tried getting it and if it's the track that plays as Vegeta is setting the alarm and talking about how a super sayian needs rest. Just as thought, you can hear the echo of vegeta's voice. I hate to say it, because it's a badass track. But I don't have the means to obtain it. Idk if maybe it's the way I have my audio settings. But they're the same as when i first started this project. So I don't know.

Forgive me for my bad memory, but I can't recall. Did I upload all the music that plays inbetween the time Krillian finds Dende and the time he arrives back to the ship with Dende? I know I recorded some of it. But is there any other parts i've missed?

Nice job on those tracks. The Frieza Chasing Krillin song was one that I recorded when I first picked up the original single that contained that episode, but it had all sorts of SFX in it. Great to hear the track basically on its own now!

Haha I know. When I chopped it up I literally responded with a "Eeehhh" I knew you could tell there is a missing piece, even if you've never heard the song before Lol. But the beginning plays in another episode during the buu saga. It's where Goku and Old Kai are talking about Gohan I think, I gotta find it.

oh can i request a few more. these tracks are both from season 7 and occur during the otherworld tournament saga. episode #196 - 'Tournament Begins' right from the very start of the episode is a neat track that goes for a minute or 2. and also episode #198 - 'Final round' has a good track near the end of the episode when pikkon starts removing his gear. The track finishes when goku turns super saiyan, its a couple of minutes long i think.

These are a couple of request if anyone can do them (Non DVD Menu stuff).

Hey, do you think you could browse through your GT dvd's, and see if the Super 17's theme (By Mark Menza) plays on any of the menu's? I would like an mp3 of that theme, if possible. If it does play on any of them, it mostly likely would play on the dvd's where he is in. I'm just curious, because I don't have those particular episodes on dvd, just vhs.

I tried to rip the menu music last night, and all I was able to get was one track. I was able to get DVD menu music before, but it was the top menu. I have not been able to rip music from the other menus for some reason. Does anyone know of a free program that I can use to just play the DVD and record whatever's playing at the time?

Alright, here's where I stand. I ripped somewhere between 50-55 tracks in total. Actually, I recorded them, and that's sort of the problem. The sound quality isn't bad, but it's not what I was hoping for.

I currently have them saved as .wav files, and I'm going to run them through Audacity to see what kind of cleanup I can do. If anyone is particularly good at audio editing, I can throw all of the .wav files in a .rar folder and upload them. The music includes stuff from Frieza -sorry, YoYoBoy, no Ginyu stuff- a handful of music from Cell, and a decent amount from Buu. A lot of it's miscellaneous stuff, but some of it surprises me that it's absent from the CDs.

I'll upload everything tomorrow, but before I run, I wanted to point out one final thing. I recorded three instances of the Aerial Battle music: the Lord Slug menu, Goku vs. Cell, and Goku vs. Frieza. Remember that these are from the singles, as opposed to the season sets, so all of the SFX and voices are in the same two tracks. What I'm going to try to do is get a decent, reasonably complete version of it compiled. I don't know what can really be compiled, so we'll see what happens with it.

what setting did you save the tracks in after you recorded them? and before you save them as wav, is the quality still good? I myself,(Personally) when I record music from a dvd menu, (In MP3 format) I will save it at 44100 Hz, 192 Kbps, stereo. The tracks come out in great quality at these settings. As for the setting for a wav file, I'd recommend saving the wav after you've recorded it, as "PCM Uncompressed" at "44100 Hz, 16 bits, stereo" But as I said before, these are just the setting i use, when I rip. Other people may do it differently.

Recordings are good enough man. Post when ya can. in Mp3 preferrably. and this ariel battle music, when is it played during the DBZ series, maybe it's a track I missed and can try getting and Ryan.North I am still fullfilling your request, give me a bit more time. Been a bit busy.

Also XZero, that's how I get all my tracks, I record them with audacity. But I export them in 320 quality mp3 to keep as much quality as possible.

I just returned to school, but I discovered that the uploading is probably going to take a bit longer than expected. I also want to edit the tracks a little, so I'll work on that during some spare time this week. For now, I have edited and uploaded a pretty good version of the Aerial Battle theme.

I got rid of everything except some flight sound effects right in the middle. I'm not completely happy with the transition at that point, but I feel confident that it's the best version of the song currently available.

I'll update with more later this week. I have a lot on my plate over the next few months (law school), but over Christmas break, I'm going to try re-ripping some of these directly via Audacity (YoYoBoy, I got your PM about that, and it might work better).

For now, here's an alphabetical list of everything I ripped. The list does not include Super 17's Theme, but I do have it, and it will be uploaded probably tomorrow or so. Be aware that I wasn't watching the episodes while doing this, but I have a pretty good memory for Faulconer's DBZ music, so it should be reasonably accurate.

8. Buu’s Darkness (I think this is some Kid Buu music, but regardless, it’s a pretty cool, if short, song)

yes, this track appears in episode #98 - 'A Final Attack' quite near to the end of the episode, about 15 minutes in. and also in episode #177 - 'Goku vs. Cell' about 11 minutes into the episode, not long after the mid intermission thing. and could u please check episode #190 - The Horror Won't End' about 13 or minutes in, a few minutes after the break there is a cool song as chichi watches gohan through baba's crystal ball. if u could capture the part when baba comes in too that would b great.

Awesome uploads and yea you're right. But that's the downside of DVD Iscolating, it's like coycoy was trying to point out, that's what it does to certain tracks OR it may be the way I recorded it. Idk maybe later i'll try a re-record. I had to edit the volume of the song, because it changed a lot during the episode.

I've been saving MP3's in Stereo, using audacity for a long time now, lol. What Version of audacity do you have XZero? And do you have the LAME MP3 encoder installed on it? I whipped up a small, quick tutorial on how to save mp3's in stereo using audacity. I uploaded the pic on Imageshack. Here it is. () Not sure if it will help, but it's the best I can explain how to do it.

I know how to save mp3s in stereo through audacity, but the problem is that the source files I was using were mono. When I originally recorded these tracks, I did it through the Sound Recorder. I thought it was saving the .wavs in stereo, but when I returned to school and sat down to edit them, they were all mono. I figure that for the time being, mono is fine just to get the tracks out there, but when I redo it, I'll try to get everything in stereo (I'm actually going to record through Audacity instead of Sound Recorder).

So I guess at this point, enjoy what I got, and I'll update with higher quality at a later date.

I don't see a problem with the quality of any of XZero's tracks. Some are a bit scratchy, but he'll fix them. Now my rips, there is quality problems, but those are unavoidable. Would be nice if I could find a way to get every track in CDQ.

The only official release of DB music comes from the 5-Disc Daizenshuu set (discs 1 and 2 have DB music -2 has BGM-, and Disc 5 had 3 tracks with music from the movies). Another release contains a less complete version of disc 2 of that set.

Android 18 says that Cell is at the next island. 16 tells her to stay still, and the music starts as he tells her to remain quiet. The music is rather dramatic as well, just to give you an idea of what to listen for. This is episode 155 by the way, "Super Vegeta".

this track features first on episode #77 - 'The Fusion' not long after the intermission thing at halfway (about 11 minutes into the episode). it appears again during episode #155 - 'Super Vegeta' just a couple minutes into the episode.
The one form episdoe 155 also has a full version of that that vegeta angry theme (just before the track starts) which u may want 2 rip.
and by the way, can anybody tell me what these DBZ Dragon Box sets are? some are claiming that they will have the option for the music 2 be played on its own audio track, which is selectable (entire Faulconer soundtrack in cd quality with no voiceovers!?)

The Dragon Box sets contain only 2 audio tracks: dub w/Japanese BGM and Japanese version. Faulconer's music isn't present in any capacity, including episode audio, openings and closings, and the menus.

I would partially agree, I believe it should be there as an audio setting. But the point of these Dragon Box's is to present the original DBZ.

hey guys! I was just wondering if someone could tell me how to rip music off of DVDs. I have the entire Saiyman saga set and would like to rip music from the menus. I'll gladly share the music I've ripped once I learn how. Thanks. :)

I would love for you to do that. There's quite a bit of unreleased music on those sets, and though I ripped all of it, the quality was far from perfect (plus it was mono).

Download Audacity and you should be able to get it to work through the preferences page. I haven't done it with Audacity yet, so hopefully someone here (YoYoBoy) can tell you exactly how to do it.

To record with audacity, just change the white box in the middle that says Microphone to Stereo Mix and then just use the record option on Audacity and it's that simple. You'll lose some quality with this, but nothing major.

Ah ok. hmm... I don't have Record Master or Stereo Mix in my computer. i use Vista and Vista only gives me Microphone or WaveOut Mix. >>; Do you have any suggestions for recorders that allow you to record without using a microphone?

Because sometimes in order to get audacity to be able to record the track, you have to open up two channels not used and converting mono to stereo gives that affect sometimes. I can recording it with just the 2 original channels if you want. and you're thinking the one from the CDs which is a completely different track

Manually mess with your audio channels. That's what I had to do. Doing it as you're playing the DVD and if you get it right with the DVD sets, the voices will disappear or become mere scratches and that don't affect your song at all.

Yeah, I'd appreciate that if it isn't too much trouble :)! Actually, I noticed quite a few people on youtube who also want it. And I know it is a different track on the CD, I meant hearing a none-distorted one in the anime.

Nice qulality rips, im sure Bruce would be happy..(btw, Bruce doesnt actually care about people ripping his unreleased tracks, cause he doesnt even own the copyright to the music anymore, even though he wrote it). Bruce actually seemed really gutted when Funimation took the music from him. He did get compensated but u can tell that Bruce just wanted to release the music cause he said he said he wouldve been able to make back the same amount money (if not more) in sales, and would also make more of a name for himself. Funimation is damn useless for not utilizing Faucloners music, they could prpblably rake in some good cash from it knowing the popularity of DBZ...

Couple of things. First, one track that is basically impossible to get without SFX is the Gohan Angers track from the Cell Games. Apparently that didn't stop this guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaQna2Dgr6Q who actually learned how to play the violin part at the end of the song. And he totally nailed it.

Also, I have the 5 Saiyaman DVDs and the Babidi: Descent DVD. The first things I want to get are the three tracks that comprise the flight to Babidi's ship in The Wizard's Curse. I have Windows XP and Audacity. Can anyone post or pm me with a step-by-step guide on how to get the thing to properly record, or alternatively, how to directly rip the tracks from the DVD?

hmm... It appears I'm having problems with Audacity. It's not pickin' up any sounds from my speakers even at full blast. Is there a way I can reset the settings? Or what should I do?

Also, some are in the last disk of the soundtracks I posted. Unfortunately, I don't think YoYoBoy will be able to get his hands on all the ocean dub dvd's, and I'm not even sure if his method would work on them.

It wouldn't work for the Ocean dub. Those DVDs were stereo, which means that voices, sound effects, and music all came through the same sound channels. The Funimation Season Sets are 5-channel, and two of those channels are largely for music only (or so I understand).

after a few hours of work, I Ripped the "SSJ goku Vs Perfect Cell (Taking It to The air) (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OE7EKOL4)" track. It's far from a perfect rip/edit, but man... this was TOUGH to rip decently at all. It's the best I can do with this track personally. On the part where cell was punching goku multiple times, I couldn't edit out the "rumbling" noise. sorry about that. ^^;

Another small update. xD Iv'e managed to rip the Original Unreleased version of the Cell Jr theme. The one that played on the anime, with the violin. For some reason on the released version, they took out the violin. Odd really. anyway, here's the download link. Couple of things. First, one track that is basically impossible to get without SFX is the Gohan Angers track from the Cell Games. Apparently that didn't stop this guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaQna2Dgr6Q who actually learned how to play the violin part at the end of the song. And he totally nailed it.

Also, I have the 5 Saiyaman DVDs and the Babidi: Descent DVD. The first things I want to get are the three tracks that comprise the flight to Babidi's ship in The Wizard's Curse. I have Windows XP and Audacity. Can anyone post or pm me with a step-by-step guide on how to get the thing to properly record, or alternatively, how to directly rip the tracks from the DVD?

Well, I do have the old versions I ripped in mono, uploaded in a RAR file.. BUT I'm currently re-ripping the songs in Stereo instead of Mono. I've ripped all the Nathan Johnson tracks I could from the first 2 remastered seasons of Dbz (The ones that were attainable and sounded decent). All I have to do is do some editing to them. When I finish the editing, I'll upload them to Megaupload in a big rare file. well.....I might have to split it into 2 Rar files... lol, So far the songs all together are a little over 200 MB. xD

If they end up less than 500 MB (I think), you can upload them all at once to Megaupload. I can't wait to hear what you get!

That sounds really clear. I know the Faulconer seasons had the same thing, but I think Funimation had much more channel-specific sounds with the first two seasons, meaning there was less "noise" in the music channels.

Which browser are you using? It may be a glitch with your browser or Rapidshare is being screwy. I don't have any other place to upload stuff really. I have an account with rapidshare.

I have a request, there's one track that plays a little after the beginning of the episode Explosion of Anger, right after Frieza gets out of Goku's grasp and he's holding his hand in pain. "How, how did you get this incredible power?! Don't tell me! IT'S TRUE, ISN'T IT!!!"

Has this song been ripped or is it in one of the volumes because I can't find it anywhere. And if not, any way it can be ripped?
