I hate the undead that interfere with the mark in the Nabreus Deadlands. They keep spawning all over the place and completely over run you if your not careful.

Mainly, it just serves as a base for your later missions, with plenty of shops to be found, and items scattered around the town, but you can also race Rikken and his crew here, in races of increasing difficulty for increasing rewards. I'm going to go for Balfonheim Port, for the same reason I voted against Subterra in the last round, i.e. too much grinding required to survive there.

Located just south of Rabanastre, Giza Plains changes according to the season. You first visit it during the dry (fig. 1), but will later pass through during the wets (fig. 2). The landscape and mosters vary with the seasons. You'll also find the Croakadile mark here. Round 1: 7-4 vs. Giruvegan. Tcs: 3

A very tough one for me. I loved them both, especially when it was the wet season in giza plains. But Rabanastre just looked great. And there is alot of stuff to do that involves it. Therefore, my choice is

The compulsory part of the Pharos, which you complete during the story, as opposed to Subterra, which is optional. Arguably the longest dungeon in FF history, it will take you several hours to complete. Round 1: 8-7 vs. Archades. Tcs: 1

Pharos gets my vote. Phon Coast is scenic and has nice music (as well as the hunters' camp), but ultimately is pretty dull.

This is the last battle in this round; we'll probably have the usual break of a day or so when it's finished.

My vote goes to Bhujerba, though the Estersand would probably get my vote against a majority of the Round 2 contestants.

Yeah, a lot of people don't like this game's soundtrack, but there's enough good pieces on it that I think it could be worthwhile. I just hope we'll be allowed do nominations.

I can see Bjuerba making it a long way in this rumble. I know I'll be voting for it all the way, unless it comes across another of my favorites.

Phon Coast wins this round for me. Nalbina's been flattered a bit by having low-key opponents in earlier rounds and I don't think I'd have voted for it against ~80% of this rumble's contestants.

This is a tough call. I'm a fan of both locations but I'm going to have to stick with the Necrohol of Nabudis as in previous rounds. Rabanastre's easily the closest anything's come to beating it for me in this rumble, but probably the only thing that actually would have was the Pharos, and that went long ago (grr).

Located to the southwest of the Empire. You'll find many annoying enemies here, notably the Pyrolisks, who will drive you mad if you rely too much on mele� attacks. Also, there's a hunt club at a camp in the centre of the coast (fig. 2); here's where the Rare Game make themselves useful. Round 1: 10-4 vs. Lowtown; Round 2: 8-5 vs. Pharos; Quarter-finals: 10-2 vs. Nalbina Town; Semi-finals: 8-7 vs. Phon Coast. Tcs: 18.

The only reason I would vote for Rabanastre is the scenery, and the Phon Coast beats it in that. Also, the coast has superior music, imo.

Well, good job Rabanastre. Not the best location in my opinion, and possibly in quite a few others, but it was in the right place at the right time and deserves its win.

Zak has got the music working pretty well in his rumble. I am pretty confident it will work OK but if there are any problems we could try something else.

My problem wasn't with music in general but specifically FFXII's music. I just wonder how many people actually have the soundtrack due to it being relatively new (although it has been one and a half years now...) and relatively unpopular.

Well, that's a fair point. It may turn out that those who don't have access to it will vote against it and we won't actually be doing it this time anyway, thus giving others a chance to get their hands on it before we start it at a later date.
