Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars is finished. This is by far the largest 5.1 FLAC rip I've ever done. It's going to take some time to upload it though :/

There are 186 tracks spanning nearly 5 hours of musical euphoria at 4.87GB!!!!! I'll also be posting both OGG (1.35GB) and MP3 (1.00GB) stereo versions of the Lego Star Wars rip as well so there's no need to panic.

Unfortunately, I couldn't locate any music for the Incredibles, only SFX and Ambience audio files inside the .hip/.hop archives so I dropped it. But Kataah has already posted a rip previously as well as IM24CTU on this forum :)

EDIT: Thanks to bxaimc I found the music files and can finish ripping it :D

Additionally as for future rips: I'll be re-ripping Fable III for PC, F.3.A.R. , The First Templar and Thor.

After that, I might open my requests again

I just noticed that the Godfather: Don's Edition (PS3) has a much bigger music file than the PC/PS2/Xbox version. But my extractors for the *.mus file don't work with this one. Maybe you guys can rip this file and confirm if Bill Conti's music has a better quality than in the previous releases. I still have that file, if anyone wants to try it.

"wiiexplorer" is for wii games not 360 as far as I know =) for 360 you must use "xbox backup creator", but anyway for this method you must use only certain samsung drive with special firmware or have flashed 360 drive or jtagged console. So it's easier to grab iso from the net. =)

So it's easier to grab iso from the net. =)I never ripped 360 games before so I assume since its DVD-9 I thought maybe it could at least read contents on the disc as wiiexplorer reads wii/gc and movie dvd but I was wrong, guess that makes me noobish :p
I've decided instead to download I thought perhaps you can dump it much simpler to the pc but I guessed wrong again. Thanks for clearing that up...

I guess it depends if one of the rip requests cannot be done by Neo_Chip or Barnaby, but I just have a single song request. I've been wanting the battle theme from Xenosaga Episode III (PS2). Granted it's in the official soundtrack, but the battle theme in the game is slightly different than the official track on the soundtrack. No need to rip the entire game for my request... just a single song from it. :)

Indeed. hcs wrote a tool that can extract the audio streams from the .dat archives. Metal Gear Solid 3 uses a Konami MTAF 4-bit ADPCM codec which can now be played with VGMstream.

Fuck it, I can not describe my level of excitement. Eargazm!!!

MGS3 has one of the best scores ever for anything, fuckin anything. Man, people will love this rip.

About Noire. Noire on x360 came out on three DVD discs and they really had a problem with space as they at one point were going with five of them. Sooooo, looks like they had to compress the living shit out of music and probably all the sound effects too. PS3 version is probably something else, I hope.

Why don't you try using the Witcher 2 extraction tools created? The Witcher 2 uses .FSB for it's music, so it may work. Thread 90548

After many a complaints and requests for MP3 for iPods and suchlike we are moving from OGG to AAC for rips. It will still be very high bitrate => 425kbps so no bad quality. AAC is native for iTunes and iPods alike and will play in Winamp with a plugin. :D I think we made the right choice here guys as AAC also supports multichannel and has very good compression for the insane quality it produces :)

I don't think I can. The game uses a custom MIDI driver to change the audio depending on the gameplay situation. So I'd say the audio is sequenced like Jak & Daxter or The Mark of Kri was.

Finally here is a proper rip that i have been wanting to do, The ps3 version has all uncompressed PCM 32hz making this lossless so i have encoded it into flac. Also worked damn hard and getting filenames from the table at the bottom of the bigfile. Not hard since they were in order but very tedious going through and comparing, But this time all tracks are correctly labled and mixed. Kept also the unmixed layers as well. :) Rip was hard so had to use Alphatwentythree's zero cutter bms script on the bigfile so thanks mate. :)

this is a truly raw score so enjoy. :)

I was asking if anyone else besides me was working on it as a drawback plan. And who is to say I wasn't happy with what you had provided? I hadn't gotten the chance to listen to the music yet at that point.

With that said, I have been listening to a little bit of Alice. I went in this blind, as I was expecting a lot of electronica. But it has a nice orchestral flair to it that I appreciate. Also, I have to give kudos to you on the Duke Nukem rip - I couldn't find the main menu file in the music directory. Where did you find it?

Yeah, something similar went down with the Witcher 2, although it was kind of the opposite. Whereas the bulk of the music was in the Sound/Music folder, the main menu theme was found in the base /Sound folder.

I don't get videogame developers at times.

How I arrange it depends on the game. With my Witcher soundtracks, I did a mostly chronological order. With Wrath Unleashed, since there really wasn't much of a story I just put the music with each faction. I'll be trying to do a mostly chronological order with Duke.

That's the final battle? Well, guess that got spoilered for me then. :p

No need to convert the game music stream audio rip file in .aac at bitrate higher than 256k, to do so only increase the file size but nothing help with the audio quality just because you can't make the music stream file from lossy source(quality) into lossless quality just by simple increase its bitrate and size! While .aac at vbr 256k,its quality can match up with CD audio(except you own a very very good and expensive music player/device so you can identify their difference by use you ear ),but as we all know,game develpoer won't use music stream file with a great quality(the highest bitrate they use i had seen is often .ogg at 256kbps,here i don't mean some PS3 games' music stream file)!
Sorry about my poor English(Hmm,it isn't my mother tough XD),but i really want to ask:why you guys always use .ogg/.aac file at 300-450kbps!?Is it turely worth or mean someting!?

I remember trying to rip it as well, and with no luck either. I think all music was stored in one archive file which couldn't be open, something like ~300mb in size. But you might be right, maybe it does use midi music. Probably you could tell after looking at stuff through hex editor, but I've never been good with those.

OK, got a question for OrangeC/O.J. since he ripped POP2008... did he combine most of the layers? Because his XBOX360 rip comes up to only 84 tracks, and when I tried using DecodeUbiMusicSounds to extract the music myself from the DataPC_StreamedSounds.forge file, the total number comes up to more than a 1300 files...
And most of the files cannot be decoded by the DecodeUbiMusicSounds, it gets cracked/popped in certain places, plus songs like the main menu theme and the End Credits are not included... :(

What do I do? I'm desperate to finish the complete Prince Of Persia 2008 soundtrack before July 10th...
