The songs at disc 2 from わたしの好きなうた - Watashi no Sukina Uta, are not the full version of the songs. It's like they stitched each song with each other. Do you perhaps have the full version of the songs?
This is the original album, such as selling on the internet.
Other choices of songs I have not.

God Bless the Japanese for giving the London Symphony Orchestra something worthwhile to do in the arena of film and television music.

The Budokan performance was amazing its own way, but this is undoubtedly the more accomplished performance from a technical perspective. As is inevitable in the live concert environment (not to mention the horrifically oversized orchestra - 200 people is ridiculous; past 80 or 90 players you are adding basically nothing, but taking away a lot in terms of ensemble playing) it is beautiful but flawed. The orchestra is fine, but they cannot match the studio recording by the LSO; nobody can.

Hello everyone, l was wondering if anyone knows somewhere where l can get the Spirited Away OST (preferably in 320k MP3, but FLAC is okay too; l can always convert down)
Searching the forum didn't seem to be reliable (when l went to google, l found a thread that the forum search didn't find, but it was dead links).

l also found a great Miyazaki film OST download before on this site a while ago to DL the Mononoke OST but l can't find it anymore.

The original 18gb version doesn't have multichannel audio (stereo is multichannel, but I know what you mean) - it's AAC stereo at 192kbps. I believe the GTX-Raws version has not re-encoded the audio at all.

I am currently halfway through downloading the 18gb version from Baidu - the download stalled at 9.25gb and a message appeared in Chinese which I have translated as "Network Abnormality" - so I'm not sure if I've exceeded some daily limit or something... so I will try it again tomorrow. If I can grab it all I'll upload it somewhere a little more Westerner-friendly and I will also extract (and upload) the audio track separately for those who want only the sound.

This is a GLORIOUS concert. I pray that it receives a Bluray (or even DVD - who cares as long as there's an LPCM track) release.

The Kaguya and Wind Rises suites are both magnificent and they really elevate both scores. Since Hisaishi has actually expanded his original material into coherent, continuous "tone poems" - the material shines in a way it didn't really get the chance to in the films.

Edit: Whoops, I just deleted the whole thing. Starting the download again and going to bed. Hopefully good news in the morning. :)

Edit again: Ah, Works IV is actually a release of this concert. Gotcha. Fantastic! Still want a Bluray though. ;)

Thrice edit: It got back up to 9.25gb and failed again. Nothing to do with me. Must be something up with Baidu. Oh well, f*** it. I'm tired.

久石譲、と言えば「宮崎アニメ」と答える方が10人中半分以上居るのでは無いのでしょうか?私はボーカリスト、ピアノマンとしてしか知りません。この作品を知ったのは、大学生の時、暇つぶしに何気に見た東海テレビ昼ドラマ【華の別れ】でした。イントロから流れる美しいピアノの旋律、男女の別れを綺麗なフレーズに例えた歌詞、軽く甘い池田聡に似たボーカル、と一度聴いただけで翌日CDを買いに行きました。番組は毎日録画し、最終回に近くなる頃には、歌詞を観ずに歌える様に…。あれから21年‥今でも私の中で色褪せず大好きで大切な曲の一つです。ジャケット写真では顔が解らなく、長い間メディアの露出が無いので初めて見た時は、後光がさした頭に軽い目眩が…。現在は商業ベースで活動の幅を広げていますが、私はボーカリスト久石譲が好きです。余談ですが、クインシー・ジョーンズから芸名を取ったと事。ブラックコンテンポラリーが本当は好きなのかなぁ‥?と想像ですが。プレミアが付いていてびっくり!

I would like to thank all of the users in this thread. A BIG, ENORMOUS, GIANT THANK YOU TO YOU ALL, For spending your time uploading and sharing a great amount of Joe Hisaishi's Discography with the purpose of us fans to collect it and enjoy it, I guess without expecting to get a "Thank You".

Thanks to you, my Hisaishi collection has raised up to 58 Albums. Although I haven't finished scrolling through all of the pages of the thread. When I started to collect Joe's music, I only had 3 or 4 complete albums, and little chunks and bits of the others. Now thanks to you, I have my iPod exclusively full of his music.

I love Hisaishi-san as much as I think you all do. I'm 18 years old. But my goal is to buy all Hisaishi's Albums (or at least the most part) in physical disc form. But that's like 9 or 10 years away.

I would like to take the oportunity to make some requests, if you don't mind. The following is stuff I actually found on this thread but all of the links are DEAD. So, as a suggestion, keep using MEGA (Not Megaupload) and Yandex, 'cause RS, MF, and all the other links do not work anymore, that leaves the first couple of pages of the thread basically empty. Those two (MG & Ydx) are the ones I had less problems with and the ones that keep the links working longer.

Does anybody have the Ghibli set 2 / DAISHI DANCE (http://vgmdb.net/album/43742)? I have the first album (http://vgmdb.net/album/42621) in FLAC (if anybody is interested). I would appreciate at least some mp3 quality.

For a second, I thought it is the same as Violin and Girl (Japanese Animation) made by Grooploop. But still your album the so-called Beyer Laputa appears to be somehow missing from my collection too. I appreciate mp3 upload if you will.
