This trick works with Firefox. Follow this walkthru:

Yeah I recognized some stuff that's already on GH. I've been picking single songs out of albums to test the water, and so far I strongly recommend Akineko/fromsite (though that sounds like there's several artists to that) and EtlanZ/Square best. Oh, and the stuff from Hellion Sounds of course.

I downloaded that a while back. There's some great stuff in it. A lot of it's better than the Black Mages too, and it's nice to hear Final Fantasy Tactics get some rock/metal arrangements, although they're few and far-between.

I wouldn't say it's all that calm, seeing tracks like the oh-so-popular One-Winged Angel there... Anyway, the concert sounds really good, so I'd say it's worth it.

Maybe, Final Fantasy X-2 had a Piano Collection and that was done by Noriko Matsueda
and Takahito Eguchi. Besides, while Uematsu composed the actual songs, the piano versions were performed by someone else for every game.

In my opinion, its the best yet. When I heard the guy who made Vagrant Story's soundtrack was making tihs games, I was ecstatic. Years later, getting to paly it, and hear it, I must say, it was better than I expected. Has all the greatness of the Vagrant Story soundtrack, yet has quiter more normal pieces for towns, classic FF tunes worked in places (I swear I heard "Floating Continent" from FFVI in the Garamsythe Waterway's track) and has the utterly fantastic battle themes that I loved about Vagrant Story

And I havent even heard the whole soundtrack yet

if it's RaphidShare's unlimited download service then yes you'd have to actually pay to become a member i'd say.

Considering the crazy way of obtaining the Finest Box set and the limited number of copies, that's a rather rare one, indeed.

Let me say right away that I honestly appreciate all this wonderful work, however...
However, it would not hurt to know in what quality the soundtracks are. I am currently downloading the FFVI OST from the second MegaUpload link because the archive is bigger and promises better quallity. But I had to try out the first link to find that out.
I have already downloaded the soundtracks from VII, VIII, IX and X without giving it much thought. Now that I do think about it, I suspect that the FFVII OST I downloaded from the single MegaUpload link is, with high probability, lower quality than that from the two-part MU links or from RapidShare. It's mostly 128 kb/s with tracks near the end in 160 kb/s - what You find at Blue Laguna's Media Archive.
If You do not know what quality the individual files are in, Solid Snake, then I would ask the other downloaders to convey that information to You.
Here is my bit:
The IX and X soundtracks that I downloaded from the two-part MU links are both in 320 kb/s.
I think I used the single MU link to download the VIII soundtrack - the unpacked files are 228 MB and all the MP3s are in 128 kb/s.

Would it be possible for someone to post a download link to the Battle With Gilgamesh in the Project Majestic Mix: A Tribute to Nobou Ometsu album? I just want that track and don't really have the time to download the entire album.

Mtm, I already checked some of those and added the average bitrate info.
Also some archives contain #gamemp3s releases for sure, so I put the lame encoding options there which can give you a general idea of the encoding quality.

I suggest you name the average bitrate for the whole album, which would be more convenient (check it with Tag&Rename for example).

It needs some reworking.

Correct me if I'm blind but I do not see the soundtrack to FFV in Blue Laguna's archive. There are soundtracks for: III, VI, VII, Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus, VIII, IX, X, X-2, XI, XII, Tactics, Tactics Advanced and Chrystal Chronicles.
But NO FFV.

EDIT: OK, I was partially blind, because when You access the Final Fantasy Music archive from the "Our Games" column, it features only the OSTs I listed. Had I accessed it from bar at the top via "Mp3s", I would have got to FFV OST.
However, it is only in 128 kb/s and I would like it in 320 kb/s like the rest.

Those are self-extracting archives. Run the exe-file and it'll unpack, all by itself.
