I don't know what 3/4 of these albums are :)

First question: Wouldn't know.

Your second question; I only know the album Diaries of Olan Composers Edition; it's a fanmade album, an arrangement of sort. For the rest of them, they're also probably fan made (could you upload those??).

Third question; all are probably the same, the only differences are that some are betterly masterized or newer.

Fourth question: Angela Aki's version of Eyes on Me is from the Final Fantasy Voices concert. As for the rest of the songs, I haven't heard of them (again could you upload them perhaps?)

Fifth question: Haven't heard any of those yet.

Sixth question: I don't have them either.

Seventh question: I only have 2. The normal soundtrack release and the complete release. + I have two singles. The other versions are probably bootlegs.

Eighth question: Haven't heard of that album either :)

Yeah you can request them of course, I'll upload them when I have the chance. Normally I upload during the weekends because I have a bigger bandwith at home.

Here's a rather rare album that I haven't seen posted yet. It's called Secret of Mana +, and it's essentially an arranged CD from Hiroki Kikuta featuring music from Seiken Densetsu 2 and 3. The unique thing about it is that it's just one long 50 minute track of interwoven themes and musical styles.

It's a very different kind of soundtrack release, very experimental, which I guess is both good and bad. Personally I like the more common orchestral arrangement releases, but this certainly has its charm as well.

I had spent a couple days looking for this a while back because I wanted to sample it before buying the CD, and it took quite a while to find. I wanted to bring it up here because any serious fan or collector should check it out, and given how much trouble I had finding it I figured I'd save some of you the trouble. :-)

The 20th Anniversary ones are the same ones than the PSP Version ones. All those discs are officials except for the Dawn Of Souls one, the VX Remaster, and the 20th Anniversary ones, since those three are audio extract / recordings. All those releases are different official or unofficial sounds from FINAL FANTASY I and II. Some from NES, other from NES and being remastered (as the VX Remaster), others from CD-ROM as the Origins, and others from UMD as the 20th Anniversary. The iTunes one was a Square Enix remastered release.

Most of them are audio recordings by fans. The Complete Colector's CD are Playstation CD-ROMs, Demos as far I know. There are two ones as far as I know, the Vol. 1 is focused on many games including XENOGEARS, FINAL FANTASY VIII and many others (some of them were as Demo, others are Video or other media material). The Vol. 2 is focused on FINAL FANTASY VIII only. I didn't know there was another disc related to FINAL FANTASY VII. I do know a FINAL FANTASY VII DEMO but I don't know which one of those two it is. FINAL FANTASY ANNIVERSARY BONUS DUNGEON TRACKS is only a fan audio recording of the battle dungeon tracks that appeared on the 20th Anniversary versions of FINAL FANTASY I and II.

Depends on the album you're talking about. Give me more info and I may help you, since unfortunately I don't know if you're talking about the N32D-007/8 (since you included the III) or about the audio recordings of the I and II.

Tracklistings mostly. Some versions include BONUS TRACKS not released on the other versions. There are also 2 CDs versions as the Extended Score or the Expanded Motion Picture Score that includes many versions and unreleased audio / dialogues. Some of them are unofficial.

8. in fan made albums wut is Final Fantasy Elysian Black Seas, is that even FF, it has few FF music
My searchs returned not many results. I hope you can give me more info / sources.

No. They will release it in August. But yeah, it's amazing. It's a 20 Compact Disc set + 1 DVD.

If I remember correctly... Disc 2 - Track 14 and Disc 3 - Track 11 respectively, from FINAL FANTASY IX Original Soundtrack. An amazing score for an amazing game, I get amazed every time I listen it.

Apparently I just have a 1 disc release OST and not the 4 disc release which explains why I'm missing music. I figured I was missing something bigger. Now to just find a working link for the four disc.

edit: Ah, found another thread with working links. I was never all that thrilled with the score to FFIX and for many years I just ignored and instead played the other ones. But recently I started to play the game again and while I've always been in love with the game, the score just finally fell into my heart. Strange.

Since people are requesting here left, right and center. I really need some help getting the dissidia voice clips ripped from someone who has the PSP software that does that (I've seen it on youtube videos so it MUST exist somewhere.....)

Kazu, the Limited Edition version CD is the exact same as the regular edition. The LE version difference was that it came with a special case, calendar, and a poster. But the CD is the same.

Kazu, the Limited Edition version CD is the exact same as the regular edition. The LE version difference was that it came with a special case, calendar, and a poster. But the CD is the same.

Could someone help me compile a set of all the final fantasy battle themes/boss themes/special fight themes/final boss themes of just the original soundtrack. The reason is I don't want to download every soundtrack just to get the themes.

I've been out of the thing the last months. I'm back and I'm trying to continue where we paused it:

1.- ZeroCool51, thanks a lot for those four Kyle Landry piano recordings. Time ago you were doing recordings (as you said those four recordings were the only ones you've finished at that moment) and I was wondering if you've finished that work by coincidence (you called it Final Fantasy Fan Piano Arrangements or something if I recall correctly). I would like to ask you too if your CBR 256 kbps of the 2nd The Black Mages DVD (the "above the sky" one) is a codification or a recording, and also if the source is YouTube videos, already codified .avi videos (for example) or the original DVD in your hands. Thanks in advance for all your support mate !

EDIT: mate, through a little search I've find that after Kyle Landry has done a lot of FINAL FANTASY related piano interpretations: http://multimedia.kylelandry.com/. Unfortunately, because of his old account being banned, most of those links doesn't work (but I guess those videos still exists under his new account on YouTube). Looking at his new YouTube account he says he's going to release an album through iTunes in the next 3 months or so (although I guess it won't be a FF related one.. maybe just including one or two FF songs).

2.- Undead-Fox, six months ago I asked you about the tracklist of a few folders simply to know if I had those discs already or not (because by the name I may had them but it wasn't sure). Unfortunately I've been reading the pages of this thread but you couldn't put those. At the moment, I've cleared one of them and I know I've it, so the list six months later is a bit smaller. If it isn't much to ask, please may you post the tracklisting of each folder of the next ones? Thanks in advance man.

I dropped by TGS this year and got the Square Enix Music Sampler CD 2009 Vol. 4 CD with a purchase at the Square Enix Music booth. Do you have by coincidence a FLAC codification of the CD or any other of the Square Enix Sampler CDs of other shows?

Did PE'Z arranged all the songs or just the Track 04, or post which composed/arranged each track? (the VGMdb info doesn't detail each track's composition and I've doubts in one or two)

I'd just like to thank the solid snake for uploading the full albums. It's faster, and cheaper than buying the 80$+ imports! I had been looking for the FFVII OST for months, but all I could find were torrents. Which I just think are too complicated.

A single featuring the game's theme songs, "Because You're Here" (Kimi ga Irukara) and "Eternal Love", is planned to be released on December 2, 2009 and will feature vocals by Sayuri Sugawara.

and the Now Theme of the America Version of XIII "My Hands" of the "ECHO" Album of Leona Lewis, will be out the 16 of November, I dont know if woul be out a Single apart just for the Song.

and The game's soundtrack will be released in Japan on January 27, 2010, along with a limited edition. The standard version will have four discs, while the limited edition will contain a bonus "drama CD" written by scenario writer Motomu Toriyama

and just for Data:

Although the game's main theme was originally announced to be composed by Nobuo Uematsu, Hamauzu was assigned to it after Uematsu was selected as the composer for Final Fantasy XIV, making XIII the first game in the main series to not have any work by Uematsu

Firstly, if it's the piece I'm thinking of, you're probably referring to Distant Worlds, the vocal track that played at the end of the FFXI: Chains of Promathia missions.

There are several versions to this piece, including an electronic version without vocals by The Black Mages and an orchestral and vocal version released as a CD single. But the version you're probably after is part of the CD release of the FF orchestral concert series of the same name.

The only other orchestral and choral piece for FFXI that I know of is Memoria di la Stona which is part of the opening theme to the game. I'm pretty sure both versions should be easy enough to find by searching either Blue Laguna (http://www.bluelaguna.net) or FF Dream (http://www.ffdream.com/downld-musiques.html)

As for why there's no FF music on Galbadia Hotel, you'll have to ask Sarah that question, but I'm pretty sure it's because of legal issues with Square Enix (i.e. they 'politely' asked her to take down any and all Square Enix music from the site, or risk prosecution.) There's not much you can do about it though, except look for other sites online if you're after FF music.
