This time I merely have to upgrade 4-5 Windows 7 to Windows 10; charging €20 each upgrade: I take the laptops home, use my bandwidth/electricity and bring the stuff to the folks when I'm done. Upgrading the first one now, actually... I'm getting way too much money, all I do is start the download and leave the computer idle for hours, basically; if only they knew just how much of a hassle it really is. Guess I can relate, there was a time I was just as scared to click anywhere.
The saddest part is that a few of those "customers" are around my age, one would assume somebody in his/her late 20s isn't that bad with computers.

Not sure, seriously. Only one person admitted she stays away from Windows Updates and the likes since when a download got corrupted and the OS stopped functioning correctly (BSOD, never-ending restarts); she trusts me to be able to fix whatever happens, I guess. From a quick glance at the others' laptops, I'd wager they use them for work-related stuff: mostly empty, no "junk" software.
I already feel bad about being paid, thank you. The most cynical part of me may point out that I'm doing just what a lot of folks do: earning money for the services I offer to strangers (yeah, they're not friends, word got around about a guy who has a knack for PC/PS3/Xbox 360's maintenance, simple as that, plus, it does help my prices are way lower than what others ask for), at any rate, there are a lot of jobs I don't do simply because I'm not good at them (but potentially, I could be), forced to call others, different areas of expertise. I devoted my time to learn certain stuff.
As far as the quickness of an Internet search is concerned, my fucking Italy is way behind, there are still cities with no Internet at all and if we dare to go into actual knowledge of computers, Internet... I've got the chance to correct university teachers on a few topics and I'm self-taught. That bad. :laugh:

I'm feeling happy at the moment. My friend has gifted me Zootopia goodies that, if everything goes good, may come this monday. So excited.

He's making it a surprise, but what I probably got confirmed, is that in the package, the Disney Infinity figurines for Zootopia will be there (which I wanted to buy today, but decided not to, because.. I want to NOT spend my money for once. I like the feeling of having money..) and there's a tiny chance (this is just me assuming but he seems very generous and has extremely stated that I will be EXTREMELY HAPPY and EXCITED for the whole gift) that a Wii U version of Disney Infinity 3.0 may come in there, too so I can make use of the figures. This was just hinting and assuming though. Monday I will see.

They have no problems releasing re-releasing every movie title they have just for the sake of repackaging a shiny new tin box.
But when it comes to older releases, there's no chance of them remastering DVD's for the sake of newer technology.

A remaster of any old DVD would definitely boost their market. The interest is still huge for DVD.

I think they would as soon have an iTunes/Google Play Web-DL available than remaster DVD.
