I just watched the last episodes of Samurai Champloo last night. All in all a decent story, didn't care much for Fuu at first but after seeing everything she's grown on me and is pretty sympathetic.
I liked how in the end they didn't get to stop or help any of the big organizations that where after them or where associated with, they just did what they had to to survive. 1 thing though, what happened to the powers Mugen learned from that 1 episode with the guy who could make your blood explode just by hitting you? He achieved a new level of inner strength by meditating under a waterfall and could do just as much damage as that other guy but after that episode he just forgot about this 1 hit kill power he had.

I'm 12 episodes into ZZ Gundam and so far it's... well it's the most lite hearted and cartoony of all the gundam's so far (funny with it's tag being "This is not an anime".) the 2 main bad guys are almost from completely different shows plus I was bumed when Fa left the crew, I know it might not be permanent but I was looking forward to her growing as a person with the responsibilities of being pretty much the only pilot not killed, in a coma, or MIA. I will finish it but mainly so I can see Char's Counter Attack.

It was way better than I expected.

I saw it. I was good, but the series ending wasn't that bad either.

Personally I don't understand people who hate on either TV or Movie ending over the other, they both happened in the story line. Movie is what happens in the real world and TV is inside instrumentality but they both have the same final outcome.

The thing that bugged me the most about ZZ was that after Zeta almost every crew member of the Argama had been killed or was MIA with Fa, the least skilled pilot the only one left. Now I was hoping for a good reluctant hero story with her but like almost every other character and plot point from the previous series they got ignored or quickly breezed through and replaced with the new cast.

You should check out Gundam San. It's a comedy gundam strip set in the original 0079 series.

Just finished watching the 3 Genshiken OVA's. Such a good anime, imo. I really enjoy the dub version of the first season, I saw the subs for the OVA.

Char�s Counterattack

I�ve watched the main body of the universal century series (I know about the next generation series but haven�t bothered with it yet) and I�d say the original, 8th MS Team, & War in the Pocket are my favorites in that order.

I really liked the story of a group of people being thrust into the position of having to fight in a war they would rather not have any part of and at first it�s about mire survival but as the long harsh battle drags on they start to develop ideologies that also influence their reason for fighting.
I think ZZ could have been done way better, I don�t hate the more light hearted beginning; just the way everything felt like it was on auto pilot.

I am rather disappointed with the way the Zeta, ZZ, & Char�s Counterattack tended to ignore the previous shows, especially the original White Base crew. Like how after Zeta, almost all of the Argama crew was dead or MIA with Fa the only surviving pilot. I was looking forward to a story about her overcoming her severe shortcomings as a soldier and pilot and self doubt for Camille�s sake; but instead she was replaced after a few episodes. At least it was heavily implied she and Camille got to be happy together.
And then there was Katz�s death and Hayato�s death. Only Hayato ever mentioned the loss of Katz while Hayato himself no one acknowledged at all.

Then there's a bunch of stuff left unanswered or just quickly breezed over like how Char finally decided to kill all earthlings; he almost seems like 3 different people in 0079, Zeta, & CCA.

What Fraw Bow felt about Katz dying after going off to fight.

In CCA Bright is now with the Federation and we get no real explanation how the AEUG and Federation settled their conflict.

And then where was Sayla? You�d think being Char�s sister she�d have something to do.

What happened to Beltorchika? Having an already established person as Amuro�s love would have been better than some new random character.

What happened to Mineva Zabi?

The fact that some random L copy was the one to take down Light was lame, they could have done something like have Matsuda and that guy with the afro just figure it out them selves or something. Also side note, I hear that the original manga, cartoon, and live action movies all have way different endings.

Mitsudomoe Troublemaking triplets, Mitsuba is somewhat a sadist if not completely, Futaba the muscle pervy girl, and the "mysterious" Hitoha the Marui sisters. Satoshi Yube (their teacher) is going to have a hard time with these girls. Mildly amusing I might keep watching.

Seitokai Yakuindomo - Ousai Private Academy used to be an all girls school now a co-ed, Tsuda Takatoshi chooses to go to this school not because it is 90% girls but because it is the closest to his house. Upon arriving on his first day he is made the Vice-President of the student council. Was alright might keep watching.

High School of the Dead Though I saw it without subs, I actually enjoyed watching it anyways. Shit gets real when the morning announcements gets "interrupted" and all hell brakes loose. I guess... It wouldn't be the zombie apocalypse without the occasional fan service shots. I probably would have enjoyed it even more if I knew what they were talking about, haha! I will keep watching.

I have that one. That is some funky crack, seriously.

Excel Saga was fun! While I'd say Magical Shopping Arcade Abinobashi did the whole episode parody theme better Excel & Hyatt was so cute together I'd be fine with just them in a slice of life show. The Japanese voice actress for Excel is really talented in her ability to talk so fast and the fact that she also did serious Excel in that 3rd to last episode.

The 8th episode of Shukufuku no Campanella, very fun, ecchi and fanservice laden episode, makes you wonder how good the ecchi will be in the Specials.

Iron Man (Anime) Episode 1.

It was good. They did a fine job setting up the characters. It seems to be relying on the movie for much of it's backstory so half the work was already done for them. If you're a fan of Stark and of anime it would be worth having a look. Each episode is about 25 minutes.

Dragon Ball Kai, the way DBZ was meant to be watched, no more silly fillers, I never hated the DBZ fillers, but it made the story in the anime too damn long and in my heart there's still a <3 spot for the original soundtrack score. Dragon Ball Kai's new score is quite good, but there still something lacking and getting a bit repetitive and in some scenes, some tracks from the old score were more fit for it. Example: Trunks Super Saiyan-jin transformation & fight against Freeza.

The track *Battle Points Unlimited* that was originally used in Trunks transformation in DBZ might be kinda outdated/too 80's (still sounds too damn good for me that is) in today's standards, but it could of had been modernized-re arranged/sped up *sad face D;*. Hopefully the TV producers and the new score composer won't fuck up Gohan's SSJ2 transformation, I FUCKING REALLY HOPE!! or someone is really gonna die. =D

Bakuman, I read the manga and it's really great, also watching the anime version as well and it's doing a good job and I'm just looking it forward for new plots/content in the manga. ^_^

MM! for the lulz, it's just one funny ass anime that I really got into and it's DBZ Parodies were pretty L337, Pr0, very LULZ!!. It just really had me laughing so hard that I pooped and had to change underwear. D;

Man, what a movie! First time seeing it, long time Macross fan though. Mostly just +, I can't get into any other series. But this movie was just great. Layered, poetic, textured characters, etc.

I have been watching Bakuman and read the manga too which it's quite good + plot wise. I really recommend this manga/anime highly.

I also watched Sora No Otoshimono Forte & MM! as well for the LULZ!!! (I'm not that much of a faggot ;_;), but MM!'s DBZ parodies just had me LoLing very hard that I would reach to a point where I would need a change of underwear. D;

2nd story not as good as first but satisfying.
3rd story was mostly just prepping and firing a cannon.

While not the greatest I don't regret buying it for $3 and enjoyed watching it. shoulda reversed the order of the stories.

Starting Ergo Proxy, seems great. However music is not loud enough, a bit too quiet.

Tezuka's Phoenix, the movie. Enjoyable animation, drawings and overall atmosphere. Didn't care much for the plot though.

Watching Cowboy Bebop now, quite a good watch but too many fillerish eps.

Hmm, The last anime I watched was a dubbed version of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. The last subbed one was the last episode of the 1st season of Kuroshitsuji. Although this thread reminded me I should probably go watch that DVD of Akira we have.

I wish Yumekui Merry would have ended better. The fights were almost painful to watch. Merry vs. John "Duu" was the only good fight. =\
Infinite Stratos had a nice ending, I think.

Freezing ended alright as well. Even if the anime isn't all that great, Satellizer el Bridget was a very enjoyable character.
