I've been thinking about buying that show for quite a while. I'm kind of glad you reminded me about it since there'll be a new box set out soon. Also, after looking it up while typing this, I found that it was directed by Koichi Mashimo. I love quite a few of his shows, so I can't pass it up.

I spent yesterday watching quite a bit of new material. I got my hands on an advance copy of the final volume of Onegai Twins on DVD, as well as the first DVDs of Midori Days and Kyo Kara Maoh.

I rewatched Miyazaki's "Laputa" yesterday(after three years) ,and just before coming here the 2 first volumes of GONZO's newest "Basilisk - the book of ninja arts". I have to say this series seems rather promising.

Interstella 5555 - The long video clip that Leji Matsumoto (of Harlock and Yamato fame) did for electronica band Daft Punk.

Very good, but also very unique, and you could see the many in-jokes and references to Matsumoto's past works, including one of the characters wearing Harlock's distinctive jacket. The music was pretty good too.

Last Anime I watched was... InuYasha episode 97 I think (Kikyou and Kogome alone in a cave) It wasn't bad! O and then the next day I watched an old Shaman King episode the one with the supposed "crying sword" I don't like that episode..

Appleseed the movie. I haven't seen the OVA or read the manga, but this movie was nothing special really. The awesome action scenes made it worth watching tohugh and the music wasn't very bad either.

A blast from the past (from circa 1989), but still an awesome anime even after all these years (it was a Japanese/European co-production).

I'm hoping that some distributor will locate the licence for this, and give it the DVD treatment, as watching it on a bootleg (copied off someone's old VHS recording from years ago) just doesn't do it justice..

I'm all hot and bothered after watching the first five eps of Galaxy Railways. Anything written by Leiji Matsumoto is an instant win in my book.

I watched two old movies a few days back: Choujin Locke (Locke the Superman from '84) and Tobira wo Akete (Opening the Door from '86) -nothing special but I was surprised by the quality of the Locke-movie.

all i can say is that this manga is hard and the art is hyperrealistic
it questiones allot of things in the japanese medical world and apparently even got recognition for bringing out facts and forced the big chiefs to apply new laws etc wich is pretty unique if you ask me
