If it counts, I watched FF: The Spirits Within yesterday. Hadn't seen it since the theatrical release (my first date, how romantic). Loved every minute of it. Parts of it are a little cliche and the human animation is a bit stilted, but it still looks good and the story was awesome. That movie has been seriously underrated.

I know I usually give this thread a wide berth, but with a new Slayers series on the air, how can I not post about it?
Slayers Revolution is off to a pretty good start. I'd recommend that anyone who enjoyed the previous seasons begin following it immediately.

Kaiji. Best show about gambling ever. Also, if you thought Death Note was a psychological mindfuck, take your head out of your ass, and watch a real anime NOW. Kaiji is so fucked up, and the story is extremely compelling. Watch it. Now.

Finished watching Gurren Lagann a couple days ago. EPIC ending and I highly recommend it to people who dig explosions and mechs.
I have to agree, that is one of THE best endings I've ever seen in an anime. Never have I been so enthusiastic at an ending, they usually leave me depressed that there are no more episodes.

Gungrave is probably one of the saddest endings I've seen.
Watching Gurren Lagann now. This anime took a while to get good. It took me like 3 months to finally get to episode 8. I think around then it started getting better and banged out a marathon...yet I'm not done yet. Great so far tho.

Finished up Tengen Toppa Gurran Lagann a little while ago. I really liked it. The most recent one was Elfin Lied. I have to admit I was disappointed with this show. I guess the constant bloodshed got to me after awhile. Also I thought the ending was garbage. (if there are any EL fans out there I am sorry for the trash talk but i thought they could have done a better job).

AS is currently airing the "Bount Arc" iirc, it seemes pretty interesting for the most part, but def. filled with typical "I'm stronger than God" villains/anti-hero types.

well.. i've just finished rumbling hearts. :D its 14 episode series is really good. i loved it. he story is mixed up with all different kinds of emotions. i don't really expected that it would end like that but i guess it's just the right way to end the story. :D

into the anime she was from. It's basically fantasy girls fighting each other and getting there clothes ripped off, the story & characters are so-so and the T&A is alright. Wouldn't recommend it and wouldn't damn it either.

Kobato #01: zomg CLAMP! Well, it's actually pretty watchable, I like the vicious, firebreathing dog mascot-thingie.
One Piece #419: actually a pretty good episode compared to the previous ones. I wonder if the weird ghost princess is going to join the Strawhats. And of course, I absolutely dig the scene at the end where all the strongest Marines converged at Marineford (but that brings a question: who's guarding the rest of the world now?)
Sacred Blacksmith, the: bah, too stereotypical and cliched for my tastes. After the fifth "katana" I heard in the first episode, my brain just shuts down.
Seitokai no Ichizon #02: it's like Lucky Star. Except that it doesn't suck.

I watched Hayate the Combat Butler as it came out - wtf? That writer was smoking something good. Real crackhead show, moderately entertaining though.
I also watched Shangri-La at the same time - funky stuff right there, moderately entertaining as well with an ending that made me think of a few video games. I think the ending is the suckiest part of the series.

I recommend to anyone that likes action packed anime. It has a decent story line and character development is done nicely. Very good animation and some good soundtracks help make this anime watchable.
