I think this is probably the first soundtrack I've been anticipating since I joined here last year, so it's good to hear the usual turn-around of 2 to 7 days. In the end it takes as long as it takes, I guess.

Complete Works 1 and 2 doesnt exist.
On the game, they were not any remastered tracks.
On previous uploads, i added CW 1 and 2, but they had songs from Megaman Power Battles and Power Fighters.

Here you can have them, just for your collection to look complete, but as i said, CW1 and 2 have Power battle/fighters songs.

have those 2 Remix projects have been cancelled?

If I remember correctly, the megaman 9 remix project suffered a couple of setbacks when some of the remixers withdrew from it. Another remixer had his hard drive crash and a user from TMMN offered to use data recovery to help him out. I believe Splashman is the one that maintains the music section of TMMN: He may elaborate on the rest of the details.

If someone wants a used copy of that doujin soundtrack (Rockbuster), I'd be willing to sell it to them. I only needed one for my collection, but I found another copy for dirt cheap, so I decided to pick it up just in case.

Like I mentioned before, I gave up on trying to have a complete Rockman soundtrack collection because of the obscurity of some of the doujin albums. There are a couple of Rockman doujin soundtracks that I've personally seen that haven't been registered on sites like VGMdb.net. Then there are the ones that I've located some information on, but have never seen once.

Funny thing is that after I sold away my collection, someone put up two Rockman doujin soundtracks I was looking for and then I also found a brand new copy of Rockman 2: The Power Fighters up for grabs.

Being a completist is not easy.

All I got from the commercial is that it's a track made by Capcom's household band Alph-Lyle. I searched my ass off on the net, unfortunately it's nowhere mentioned so I fear it was only produced for this commecial and never released.

I didn't forget or ignore. I was just tired at the time I posted Nigoli's blog links and later on it just took me some time to quit being lazy and post your links on the first page, third post. It has been done. =)

So i just got the Megaman Zero Collection rip from Megaman Network... and i have to say it's a far better quality rip than the GBA ones. They've cleared up the music, and i dunno if it's my ears or not, but it sounds a little like they've upped the quality of the music as well, not much mind you, but just enough.

I could be wrong, but either way it is worth downloading for a clear MM Zero 1-4 ost collection... with the three Collection songs added on as well. ^_^

Also, if I recall, when you put the Saturn disk into a cd player, there is a track that plays that the PSX didn't have.

Funny how when Capcom games were released on both systems, there were very minor differences between the two if you payed attention (like Alpha 2 had different tracks for Cammy and Sakura, or the obvious differences in MM8).

Oh! Okay lol. I was just wondering if there was something i missed or some strange like pre-gap track that would be hard to record or something.

Recently, I've been playing Megaman Wily Wars and I'd noticed that the music tends to play a little slower than normal on the program it's running. But I mention this because I thought it actually sounded pretty good. I went ahead and started a new rip of the game. Now I know Wily Wars is already uploaded here, but I was thinking of uploading the slightly slowed down version. Would anyone be interested in this, otherwise there wouldn't be much point to it, would there?

Megaman 1, 2, and 3 are incomplete, by remix standards. The music you're most likely listening to are selected tracks from Rockman 2 The Power Fighters (link is on page 1), but omits Fireman, Bombman, Iceman, and other tracks.

On this site, only 4,5,&6 have gamerips because while they still use Power Fighters, they also have real remixes. Again, all the music used in 1-3 comes from Power Fighters. Game 3 even uses music from 7 (PF ver.) as alternates.

Do you mean music from Mega Man Unlimited? If so, it is my understanding the MegaPhilX is not planning on releasing any of his music until after the game is released. However, some of Kevin's music is available (though I don't recall the URL), 29 of which I have. 9 of them are music he's created for Mega Man Unlimited, and 20 are miscellaneous tracks intended for other projects.

Unfortunately I don't really know if I'll be picking up Rockman Kai myself, just not real taken by it, so I can't promise a better rip from myself. Only Megaman 3,4,5 and 6 had remixed tracks, the tracks of these are right on the 1st post.
Megaman Anniversary Collection grabbed the classic games (1~6) from Rockman Complete Works which is a game released on the PS1 only in Japan, were they Re-Released Rockman 1~6 with changed health bars and stuff including Arranged Music to their games from 3 to 6.

So, you will find them on the First Post as "Rockman Complete Works"

but im mostly agreed with you, its hard to copy that special feel of the old 8-bit tunes.

The soundtrack i most dislike from classic series is Megaman & Bass, some songs have grown on me like Cold Man, Pirateman and Kingman Stage, but they are meh compared to songs like Tomahawk man Stage to not mention others..

I'm one of those into the DASH 3 fever. Does anyone have the cutscenes tracks from Rockman DASH 1 and 2?

That is true, but there are two insert songs that few know about. I watched the anime and found them at random...and there's no known titles.

The official soundtracks for the X series should have everything you need. I only noticed a couple of missing tracks from X2 and X3

The chances of finding an audio rip for these games is pretty slim anyway since there are official soundtracks that have most of what is looking for in a soundtrack.

it's not really a challenge, i am not remembering well, but if you download the isos, it's like an actual music CD, containing .cda musics.

About the Rockman Strategy rip linked in the first post of this thread... I've noticed that track 23 (track 22 in mine, since the music started at track 2, so I just moved everything back by one) of that rip has a very loud and annoying *CLICK* sound at around the 0:11 second mark. My rip doesn't have this. Just saying.

Yeah those sound pretty good.

But they have some sort of stereo effect going on that is not true to the NES sound, which is mono. Doesn't sound all bad, but I prefer the truer, untampered mono tracks.

Yeah, as KGN said, those are definitely audio enhanced. Not a bad thing though.

I won't go into every detail about the game, if you've never heard of it (I've looked at this whole thread before and don't think I saw it mentioned), you can learn all about it here:

Yeah, but this is the sixth arrange album for Zero. The X series only has that one fruity jazz arrange from 1994 (consisting of only a few X1 tracks obviously, since X2 wasn't even out). :(

Surely the X series music deserves more attention than that.

EDIT: Well now that I think about it, the PS1 X3 arrangements had an official release on the X1~6 OST. So I guess there's two officially released X series arrange albums. :P The only other official arrangements would be the ones for Maverick Hunter X, but those did not get a CD release. Not counting that special MMMHX/MMPU disc that had only a few tracks on it.

Because i love how III did the RTRZ albums and i would really like a Series of Remastered Tracks Soundtracks for Battle Network.

I was following the releases of Rockman Zero, and the past years I was enjoying the compositions and everything else. When I knew this came up to be released, I was like this "Another album?? WTF??? These tracks are already on the previous, so what's if this release?"
And then I downloaded and heard it and fall down quite some times on the street because I was hearing it on my Mp3 reader. People looked at me very often beacause I was making strange faces, because of how awsome the music was. And so I was Shut Up for good about my statement of this cd being something just for profit.
Because of that.... I'm very curious about this new release. :)

So, I have a bit of an obscure question-- and it is one that isn't entirely related to specifically Megaman, but rather the III/Inti-Creates records in general.

I'm assuming that many like myself from this thread have become avid collectors of the III releases, and as such are trying to keep up to date to keep their collection complete. So my question is, does anyone know where it would be possible to obtain a copy (whether download or even purchase in the States) of their soundtrack for Gal*Gun? It seems that this soundtrack is very often overlooked by the III followers. Or as far as I can tell, anyway.
