When I saw the Vocal album for the Rockman.Exe series was here, I jumped at the chance to get it. I didn't just download it and burn it, no. I went and added a ton of other tunes relevant to the series including karaoke versions, short intro versions, and some a couple of extras (such as the end tune from the Exe movie along with the intro tune of Beast+ and Ryuseii no Rockman Tribe). It took a good amount of time to gather, review and then burn it all, but its still possible to do it.

well, don't kill me for that one only since it isn't megaman in a traditional way, but:

I've been searching for a OST/Rip/Whatever similar of the Ryuusei no Rockman Anime which uses the Starforce Series Storyline.

I wonder if anyone ever bothered to get that music/contact the dudes that made it.

You mean recommendations? You can't go wrong with the Classic, X, Zero, or Battle Network soundtracks. As for doujin, there's a lot of good fan-made albums. My advice, since most of this stuff is on Mediafire (unlimited downloading), just pick some albums and see what you'd like.

I'd appreciate it of you purchased the albums instead as most Rockman soundtracks are still widely available in stores. I think the distributors, and possibly the composers themselves, would also appreciate it.

Or even if they were able to buy them, due to delivery costs to their country plus taxes it would cost twice or three times what it would cost for someone in the U.S. to buy it.
Plenty of people in the Lossless VGM thread are ripping their own albums, they just happen to not have all the Rockman albums.
How about you lighten up a little, and try not to answer a simple request like a smartass jerk?

No, thank you. I agree completely with what you said. I live in Canada, and for me to import albums from Japan isn't exactly cheap, especially for the rarer ones. 1) Since I've joined this forum, I've only uploaded one album (out of print) and I did that privately through PM with an individual [of reputation] who had the intention of purchasing the album.

2) I'm not positive about this, but I don't believe there have been many download links to lossless Rockman soundtracks in this topic, so why bring another topic's business into this one when there's nothing to suggest that there is lossless sharing going on here? If someone had several lossless soundtracks they wanted to share, I'm pretty sure that they would have posted them here by now or even the "Lossless VGM Download" as that topic is frequently bumped. TheAxeGrinder could have opted to make a request topic like you did, but seeing as you already requested several Rockman soundtracks in lossless format as well, he could have just piggybacked on your topic.

3) You act as if I don't pay anything to import Japanese music into my country of origin. It's not as cheap as I would like it to be (espcially the importation of out-of-print albums), but that's just the way things are. Do you really believe it's OK for someone to get something of monetary value for free just because it's not cheap enough for them? What's also interesting here is that you inadvertently defended someone who lives in Canada where the import cost isn't that much different from someone who lives in the US. How exactly do you intend on defending his case now?

4) You know, there are other ways to get some video game soundtracks in mp3 format without having to buy the actual soundtrack. 1) There are other places besides Japan to order video game music from, but I suppose you're opposed to paying any type of shipping fee, right? I ship video game music to Canada on a regular basis and the postage costs aren't high enough for you to complain about it.

2) My usual role on this forum is to provide information as sometimes there are questions I can answer, opinions I can give on certain discussions, or I can correct some misinformation when it pops up.

3) If you can't afford to purchase physical copies of video game music, then you should be grateful for just having the albums in mp3 format [like the majority of users here]. I mean, just because a song is in mp3 format does not mean you cannot appreciate the music, right?

Though all of this is assuming that you cannot afford video game music when I believe you can -- It's just that you'd rather spend your money on other stuff that amuses you. After all, why would you want lossless music if you didn't have the right equipment to properly hear the quality?

4) The "it's not only about money" argument is weak because if there was no money involved, then they probably wouldn't be composing [as much] music. They do not make music solely because they enjoy it; they do it partially because they get paid good money to make music. I also don't see many composers/distributors handing out several free copies of their soundtracks [to those who enjoy their music] on a daily basis.

5) We (as in Americans and Canadians and several other nationalities) don't have to pay for music we listen onto the radio because there are advertisers and donators that keep radio stations afloat. The are exceptions like premium radio services, but that's somewhat different. I don't believe there are many people that are charged for humming a tune (humming cannot replicate a song in its entirety), so I have no idea why you brought that up. And lastly, when you purchase a CD album, you don't have to pay for a song each time you listen to it -- You buy the CD once and then you are entitled to listen to it as many times as you want.

6) Fundamentally, a lot of things should be shared? That's just not how this world works, buddy.

Wow, this is just an amazing threat. i just have gone ahead and got some of the goodies offered :p

I specially liked the compilations for the Rockman Hacks and the Rockman World Series... none the less... I need to point a few things (two to be exact) XD

For example, in the hack compilation, in the tracks that are taken directly from the Rockman 2 game, while "Capcom sound Team" is somewhat correct, is much more correct to set the artist tag to "Ogeretsu Kun, Manami Ietel, Yuukichan's Papa" or either "立石孝、松前真奈美、坂口由洋" whose are the know composers XD

And, in the case of Rockman World II, is know that "Kenji Yamazaki" (kanji: 山崎憲司) was the composer of that soundtrack o.O

Of course, this is information for those that want hyper-perfect tags XD

I have a question: If there are only 4 of the boss level songs in the zip file for Rockman complete works 2, does that mean there weren't CD arranges of the other 4 levels?

I have the full game but no clue on how to rip music from it. No XA files nor headers that show music.

There seems to be a program that search troughly the game but I haven't tested it, I'll give a try and will let you know.

In the two years [and some months] I've been searching for Rockman doujin soundtracks, I've seen four copies of that particular Rockbuster soundtrack available for sale. I purchased two of them.

Now, in comparison to some of the other Rockman doujin albums that we know exist in CD format, seeing four copies of the same Rockman doujin makes it feel like there is an abundance of them. Half of the other Rockman doujin albums, I've only seen once or not at all.

I gotta say. The only thing worth it on that rip is the title theme. I seriously can't fathom why Capcom didn't redo all the music to sound like BN5DS at least. That game even had a redone version of the BN 1 battle in it :|. The link is appreciated, though! :)

Can't imagine why. How do you normally add music to your iTunes? I just drag the music into the Library>Music. Never had a problem adding files. Are they in mp3 format still, or did you maybe convert them or something?

Its nice to hear from you again, Reg. I too had been away for a long while (mainly my academic career in college) but I'm happy to be back.
Anyway, I hope everyone's looking forward to Megaman 10: from what is being reported at The Megaman Network & its partner sites, the soundtrack is being helmed by 8 composers, all whom were individually part of the Classic series (1-8 & Bass). Also, Ippo Yamada, the composer for the Zero series music, is "said to be working on some new arrangements of Zero series music." Whether this is intended for the Zero Collection or an arranged album release remains to be seen, but hopefullly we'll know soon enough. That's all for now.
P.S. Reg, just thought I should point out that for "Rockman.EXE Series Vocal Album" Vocal is misspelled as Volcal.

Dual Wielder: sadly, this music rip is much more complete than the official soundtrack released. Also, this is not a promotional album, but a compilation album. This unfortunately reflects the reality of megaman fandom today, and that is even though these two remakes have been given the best love and attention by the father of the Megaman series (Keji Inafune), they've been met with sales that have been average at worst, breaking even at best. Now don't get me wrong: I love the hard work that went into the music, the graphics, & the casting for the voices to both of these games and I don't speak for every Megaman fan, but for me the fact it was made for the PSP was a major buzz kill. I wanted to have them real bad, but I didn't want to risk my money on a handheld that was using a questionable format for games. Thankfully, the guys at the MM Network have the music and art for us to appreciate, so I can have some peace to how it turned out.

Agreed Rock-X. The folks at MMN did a ten times better job on their Mega Man 7 & Mega Man 8 rip than the official soundtrack releases... and that's just one example.

Hello all! I noticed earlier in the thread there was some discussion about Gammatron 64's fan project "Mega Man Returns" and it's soundtrack. Just wanted to let people know that the game is on a bit of a hiatus development-wise, BUT...the soundtrack is completely done, and almost completely made up of original music!

Most tracks were composed by Robert Seaton (xezton), but there a few done my Ludvig Loven (kukrunkarmaskin) and myself, Matthew Nadolny (timpanihilistic). Once again, i'd like to thank you for the Megaman ZX, ZXA and Zero Arranged albums.

One issue though, i dunno if it was just me but some of the tracks for the Physis and Telos albums seem to be messed up.

For Physis:
- Track 8, Disc 1: Fragile Border
- Track 3, Disc 2: Power Field

For Telos:
- Track 7, Disc 1: Omega Battle
- Track 23, Disc 1: Infiltration II
- Track 26, Disc 1: Trail on Powdery Snow

I've been wanting that 8-bit Destruction Begets Decay for ages and can't find it ANYWHERE.

I've been wanting this one as well but as of now, one hasn't turned up. I'm not a ripping person as it's much easier for me to convert SPC (SNES audio) to MP3 format. I do, however, have this hack and if someone wants to take a stab at ripping the music, by all means. Thanks! I was aware of this projects existence for some time and was wondering how to go about getting such an extended project into this thread. By the sounds of it, the majority of the bonus disc [which ain't available yet] is just tracks from MM9 as they were on the original 2 soundtracks. There's a medley of all the 9 bosses as an extra, but that's about it.

I tried out the 8-bit remixes for Megaman 7 & 8 and found it was well done. I've only recently given the 8-bit albums a chance (been relying on remixes and arrangements). But are there any FULL 8-bit albums for Megaman & Bass or Wily Wars? I've been able to find most of the robot stages, but not much beyond that.

I'd say that my collection is more complete, but if your collection was ripped from legitimate CDs, then I congratulate you on having a fine Rockman collection.

I'm begging someone, anyone, to upload the Rockman 10 OST in a lossless format before I lose my friggin' mind. That would be great. I've been checking everywhere I know since the release. Yeah, I know lossless isn't important for this type of music, but that doesn't matter to me.

Chiisa: Okay, I've went to youtube to find the commercial you were referring to and I see now you meant the live-action commercial for Red Sun, Blue Moon. It's been years since I saw any commercials for Battle Network beyond 3. You should know that:
1. I've listened to the commercial 7 times repeatedly & you must explain to me how you heard the BN theme in the gregorian chants because I couldn't distinguish anything that resembled it.
2. The lady you see running in the rain was NOT Maylu, it was Miss Mari. I've checked the design of the dress with the artwork of both girls and it is definitely Miss Mari.

At any rate, sorry for the mix up. Would've responded sooner but I, too, was having trouble entering the forums. EDIT: As to the tune, many people (at least from what I heard years ago at the Megaman-Network) weren't very fond of the concept in the commercial, especially with the 3rd game commercial having the anime appeal to it. Considering the 4th game was the one that divided the BN fans on both sides of the ocean, I sincerely doubt you're going to find the gregorian chant heard in the commercial anywhere else.

Heh, that would be me. =) I converted the SPC file from SNESmusic.org to Wav and then 256 kbs MP3 files. I did that for X1-3 because of the issues that popped up with Capcom's compilation soundtrack for the X games. I also did the same for Rockman 7.


I agree... if they made a Mega Man X3 rip as well, I'd be interested in that for a couple of tracks out of that.

I'm just working on tagging it and such. Got a whole lot of VGM projects on my plate but I'll try to finish this up.

Man you aren't kidding. RM9 arranged was a complete fail. The songs didn't even sound like their original counterparts. Tornado Man's theme was ruined. At least this looks to be a step in the right direction.
