Shurayuki - "Shura" is a buddhist term which is very much like "Hell" or "Netherworld", a conceptual location of violence and carnage. "Yuki" simply means "snow" and is a common girl's name.

"Shurayuki-hime" ("-hime" meaning "Princess" or "Lady") is also a play on "Shirayuki-hime", the Japanese rendering for "Snow White."


The title was translated as Lady Snowblood because Asura is associated with the term shuraba "scene of a great battle" or "scene of carnage"

The Seven Swords soundtrack had a special Japanese release that contained an extra audio track (apparently named "Trailer of Seven Swords", with a duration of 3 minutes and 30 seconds) which was composed specially for the trailer (you can listen to that song here in the background: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0FlVAF2r04).

Do you happen to have that song? I have been looking for it for 2 years. Can't even buy it 'cause I can't find it in stores, online or otherwise. It seems to be very rare. All soundtracks I find are the regular 17 tracks album but I really want that 18th bonus track. :[

I hate itunes. One of the most despicable inventions. I can't buy soundtracks like that, because I don't live in japan, and the itunes card in my place is to be used for my country's only, and the library of Portugal iTunes is such a slag bad taste music.

Stuff limited to Japanese region release are normally harder to be found and/or shared. You need someone with extraordinary passion to get it. And sometimes I always wonder why Japanese people are less likely to be available around US forums and more less likely to find Japanese people sharing their rare stuff too (With all respect to Japanese members here, no offense intended) But this is true xD

Just wasted an hour installing new components into foobar to play the damned thing (who the hell uses an obscure lossless codec like TTA?) only to find that the cue sheet is fucked and doesn't work in either foobar or VLC. Ugh.

I had downloaded that at the time. and TTA worked good on foobar. who the hell uses that? Lossless lunatics.
I have it somewhere around. I will upload it later at night. Not lossless though. I re-enconded to mp3 because I like it.
