That's the way I like it!Um, I'm a little confused, because I didn't post it in .wav. I posted it in .flac, just like everything else that I post here. I always use .flac. The Surround Sound version of Sleeping Beauty is already at 96 kHz/24-bit, so I'm not sure why you would try to "convert" it to that sample rate when it's already there. Flac is also lossless, and 96 kHz/24-bit is well beyond the range of human hearing, so no human should be able to detect any difference from .wav format, because .flac contains all the same data as .wav, just simply in a compressed format.

Aw I'm so sad I missed this. Does anyone have the standard CD or hi-def version they'd like to share? This is one of my favorites by Tchaikovsky.

With Christmas not far off, it occurred to me that some of you who didn't have a chance to grab Tchaikovsky�s Nutcracker Ballet last year might like a good version of it, so I've re-upped it https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=0B6U4A_vYuii5MGdGYkxLWGQ1aUU - and then I figured I might as well also re-up Tchaikovsky�s other two ballets, Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake, so here you go.

But even for those of you who already got Sleeping Beauty previously, it now has a new, better set of scans/artwork than what I uploaded last year as well, so previous downloaders might want to at least update your scans here. (All the .flac files are exactly the same as before. I had to add password protection to their .rar files to keep Mediafire from snooping around in my content, but once you get everything downloaded & extracted, the end result for the .flac files is the same as before.)


(The complete & uncut Swan Lake Ballet (Thread 211446) and The Nutcracker Ballet (Thread 211318), both also performed by J�rvi-Bergen,
and also both with updated scans/artwork, are available for download in Surround/Stereo.)

This has been REMASTERED to a better sampling rate.

When I first uploaded this last year, it was at 96 kHz for the SACD layer. Since then, I have learned that it is better to rip SACDs at 88.2 kHz, because that way the waveform is proportional to the original DSD signal, which results in smoother sound at the higher frequencies. I don't know if it will make an audible difference to anyone, but especially considering that it also makes for slightly smaller .flac files, I figured it would be a good move to make, regardless.

(The links are in the OP. I’m not doing links via PM anymore. That absolutely wore me out.)
