With apologies, I must tell you guys that I have discovered an error that I made in processing the Surround Sound files for Swan Lake. It's not fatal, but it's significant enough that I feel a strong need to get it corrected before I issue any more links. It'll probably take about 24 hours from the time I'm writing this post for me to get it done.

Fortunately, I've only issued Surround Sound links to two people (turner6 and blackie74), and when I get this fixed, I'll be issuing a new, updated set of links to replace those for those 2 people.

Everybody else, please continue posting your requests, however, even if you want Surround Sound, because I promise that as soon as I get it fixed, I'll zoom out a set of links to everybody that's waiting.

(Standard CD Audio and Hi-Res Stereo are unaffected, I'll be continuing to send links for these formats without delay.)

With Christmas not far off, it occurred to me that some of you who didn't have a chance to grab Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Ballet last year might like a good version of it, so I've re-upped it https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=0B6U4A_vYuii5MGdGYkxLWGQ1aUU - and then I figured I might as well also re-up Tchaikovsky’s other two ballets, Swan Lake & Sleeping Beauty, so here you go.

But even for those of you who already got Swan Lake previously, it now has a new, better set of scans/artwork than what I uploaded last year as well, so previous downloaders might want to at least update your scans here. (All the .flac files are exactly the same as before. I had to add password protection to their .rar files to keep Mediafire from snooping around in my content, but once you get everything downloaded & extracted, the end result for the .flac files is the same as before.)


(The complete & uncut Sleeping Beauty Ballet (Thread 211477) and The Nutcracker Ballet (Thread 211318), both also performed by J�rvi-Bergen,
and also both with updated scans/artwork, are available for download in Surround/Stereo.)

This has been REMASTERED to a better sampling rate.

When I first uploaded this last year, it was at 96 kHz for the SACD layer. Since then, I have learned that it is better to rip SACDs at 88.2 kHz, because that way the waveform is proportional to the original DSD signal, which results in smoother sound at the higher frequencies. I don't know if it will make an audible difference to anyone, but especially considering that it also makes for slightly smaller .flac files, I figured it would be a good move to make, regardless.
