Well, it is indeed miles away from the quality of the first game.
And even though the previous chara-designer DID work on this game too, it was
only on the clothing and style. And that's why I don't really like what did Itou (

because even with cues from the previous guy, the visuals became really... bland?
But hey... Taste, right? =D
About game play I was expecting this game to become like Suguri 2 but well ~ I got the LE edition just for the soundtrack = )
He he... Well, many wanted to feel this series more like the "Psychic Force" one.
But from memories of my many hours playing "Senko no Ronde" on X360, it was
really likeable. I was mostly in love with the musics from the preview medley
before its release but... Well, as a fan of G.Rev it was an obligatory purchase.
(Did the same with Border Down on Dreamcast and Under Defeat on X360...
Hoping to see both on PC one day though... Damn you, G.Rev >_<)
I'm not as fond of SnR2's soundtrack though, but it's still relevant in its own way.
So, glad you got to share it with us ='3
Today I'd like to share some Yonao Keishi soundtracks, if you like Strania, may like this as well. I have more but let me share these first.
I was kind of surprised by Strania's soundtrack at the time, but still kind of oblivious of Yonao's work.

Just to inform you that the Steel Empire OST is from the 3DS version. ROM CASSETTE DISC in HOT-B album has the MD/GEN version, while gsf joshw has the GBA version.

Just got this in fall sale. Sadly available only in 192k mp3 format. I would be happier if it was at least in AAC format. As you listen to the OST the sound volume is very low so I created a louder ver. Please note that soundtrack in "Remastered ver." folder is my unofficial custom soundtrack. I believe most people will prefer this one but if you don't want, can just keep the original.

I actually bought both of those Sakura Flamingo Audiography CDs, as well as the xbox 360 GalGun album I mentioned a while back. I ripped them with EAC and have the raw music files split in wav format, but I don't know what the best way to share them would be. I'd be happy to share them, but someone else would have to go through and tag them unless someone could explain to me how to mass-tag albums and such. Thanks!

You just wanted the soundtrack, right? If so, Trypetide just provided a link to the album. You can buy the game from the Japanese version of DLSite as long as you have a credit or debit card. The card doesn't even have to be Japanese, and the game's only about $10.

Yes I have it but have doubt with my CD. Frequency cutoff of some tracks are low (around 15KHz++). I have tried re-ripping several times but always the same result, not sure if it is really recorded this way or my CD is defect. I just share also other related albums, their rips are ok.

The original rips that are on the web are ape files, the first one seems to be a lossy to lossless transcode and the second in Presentiment (Stage4-A) has a cut on the track in 2:11 min and has a horrible sound at the end and the first minute of Endorphin (Boss1). If you have and don't mind can you rip those albums.
Fixed your problem ~ did not realize the copy I got from baidu was a fake one. To make sure it is lossless I got my own copy.

This time I try a 600 DPI scan on some of the soundtracks to test the quality, Higher quality is always advantage but there is also down side, tiny dust also becomes visible which kinda bothers me... depending on the booklet I may switch btween 400 dpi - 600 dpi.

Was just asking in case there could be a Rance/Alicesoft masterpost like there was for Disgaea (plus I don't know the site you linked or how to download from it so there is that as well)

Yep, same for me.
I had it in APE a looooong time ago, but it got destroyed as the HDD hosting it decided to not do his job while trying to copy everything into another one.
Nearly 200Gb of files corrupted this day.
It still hurts thinking about it ='D

I checked. That one extracts to the same bad files that BlackJesus has at his link.
Since I sold my CD, years ago, I've been listening to my mp3 v0 set. They're fine and don't have the cutoffs. But I'm sure that's because I ripped and checked the files, myself (and I certainly would have heard an error like that).
I'm tempted to buy it again because it's one of my favorite soundtracks (and Yack is one of my favorite composers).
EDIT: Just for grins, I downloaded the mp3 set from gamemp3s, and there are no cutoffs in those files. If nothing else, it means someone did it right.

By the way I hate albums that are not properly gapped with exact zeroes / digital silence (i.e. have constant noise floors getting in the way and stuff). Vol. 2 is "good" in this regard, but Vol. 1 apparently isn't.
Why, though? Is it always some recording / mastering bad practice or something?

mixi, I thought you should know. NIS is releasing a remastered version of the original Disgaea in Japan late July this year for PS4 and Switch. It may be worthwhile to look into the soundtrack for this game also as there may be remasters for it also. NIS America already has pre-orders up on their site and the Western version is releasing this fall.

Recently finished listening to all the Game Cues albums. That Waluigi Pinball remix in Game Cues GO is SOOOOOO GOOD!! Thanks a ton again for sharing them mixi.
Their arrange choice are mostly games that I played during my childhood so I feel nostalgic when listening, I personally like F-Zero Red Canyon arrange.

Mixi, I have some news about the God Wars soundtrack coming up in a week and a half. It is likely not the complete soundtrack, BUT...this one appears to be and is released on the 22nd this month in Japan. I would heavily advise to look into this, dood. There are 36 tracks compared to the much fewer amount on the one released last year.

Many thanks for the complete FMPSG series in lossless quality (minus the "preview" releases ;) ), so many amazing arrangements and synth soundscapes in those.
