And a reminder for uploaders, if I may: it's easier for JimmyGuy to classify the links if we indicate that we've uploaded either scans, digital booklets or both. Probably if we upload a digibook we'll say it clearly, but he has to make a decision for every case, and maybe some times download the package to inspect it. We can ease that by including the right keywords, however apparently redundant. For musicbrainz it's tacitly "scans", as they host only image formats, but I'll label mine also, to be in the safe side if they allowed digibooks in the future.

For me, the most important part of scanning covers is to "descreen" Otherwise you get an ugly checkerboard pattern on the cover images. "Please be keen and descreen" There should be a descreening option on your scanner.

That's a good advice (though surely most of the images we link here are not scanned by us), as there are many scans showing that effect. Maybe the users who fix them with image editing software could tell how they do it. For the free image editor GIMP, there's a "descreen" script here (http://registry.gimp.org/node/24411) and a link to the needed FFT plugin.

Jdownloader has no problem finding the right link. Manually it's not very obvious, but you have to clic on "Create download link", and after solving the capcha, untick the checkbox at the bottom "Download with SendMyWay download manager and get premium speeds"; otherwise you'd download again the executable.

I did get the file, thanks. (It didn't work on chrome so I used a different browser) Normally I am very careful with what I click. But since adblock usually blocks out everything bad, I normally wouldn't need to be careful. It must have been a new ad that hadn't been added to the adblock database I guess.

From time to time I try to fulfill earlier pending requests that I save on a list. Some of them may end up showing up, but for now I couldn't find them.

It must be hard. I can't think of any way for other users to edit the same message here -and having the links unprotected outside would not be a good idea-, but I wouldn't mind if you splitted the list to be more easily manageable. You could freeze the listing in the first message and add a link to a new index-message for the newly posted artwok, for example, every N pages or every N months. Each index-message could have a link to the previous and next one.

Something like that would allow anyone (other than you or me) to continue the task someday if you're not around. The drawback is that people should search in every list for what they need, but this thread will be here for years and indexing everything in the first message will be much troublesome in the future. A few clics are a cheap price for this, and anyway, the Search thread tool is always available.

All of the previous doesn't exclude setting up a protected collaborative wiki-like tool out of here, for several users to update the BBcode. Surely there's something like that which could be useful, so you would simply update an index by copy-pasting the more recent version.

I see that the links on the index point to the relevant thread message (no problem in exposing them). What do you think about receiving by PM the BBcode from us, so you would just copy&paste? This would need some explanation in the first page about the format and code and will go unnoticed for some occasional visitors but it's an easy task for the more frequent uploaders and would facilitate things a little. Hovering the mouse pointer over several elements of the post reveals the number, so we could PM you, enclosed in HTML tags:
