Thank you for re-uploading Harry Potter!
Could you please re-upload Dungeon Siege (Game Rip - 113 Tracks) as seen here (
http://forums.ffshrine.org/f72/jeremy-soule-dungeon-siege-game-rip-113-a-47842/#post932031)?
Best wishes.Haha, that's one of my ooooooooooooooold rips posted back in 2007! I have long since deleted it but I can quickly do a re-rip. ;)

Ok, so for Dungeon Siege I need an extractor which strangely I cannot find anymore...
As for Adventures of Tintin: The PC version uses an ogg variant that isn't supported by vgmstream or ww2ogg. However I was able to rip the X360 version (had to expand my XMA script a bit). :) Now taking a look at the PS3 and Wii versions to see what format they use.

It's too bad, you cannot find this extractor anymore.
I will try to get the soundtrack from elsewhere, no problem.
Next request: Could you please upload the ArchLord soundtrack (platform/type: PC)?
EDIT: What?! Did you find the extractor? That's incredible, thank you a lot for Dungeon Siege AND the addon Legends of Aranna. So much music!

Bad news guys: Batman: Vengeance won't be ripped by me. All the sounds are stored in one big archive without TOC or proper headers. I've tried some methods I know but couldn't come up with any results. :(
Maybe someone else somewhere has the patience to fiddle around with deinterleaving and manual splitting.

Well, as I said, the tracks are unplayable... They are the same for all platforms though so I guess X360 is sufficient?

Do the FileDrive links for Alan Wake (

Although the "File Size: N/A" for Alan Wake leads me to believe there isn't, if there is, you wouldn't think it because it doesn't matter which download link I click, I get no results (Other than redirection to the same page & an abundant quantity of advertising-spam).

Hey Alpha23,
I'd like to ask you to look into into Resident Evil Dead Aim whenever you'll get a chance. If you can, maybe put it on your backlog of games to rip. I'd appreciate that. I've tried ripping it myself over a year ago and had no success. There shouldn't be a whole lot music in that game to begin with, but I'd like to see it ripped someday.
Resident Evil: Dead Aim / Gun Survivor 4: Biohazard: Heroes Never Die
Platform - PS2
EDIT/UPDATE: Good man JBTND linked me to an already completed rip, over at joshw.info.
Here is a direct link : --
And this is the page where it can be found: --
*FILP files are playable in foobar2000 with vgmstream plugin.
**Bits of trivia : the music for Dead Aim was composed by Nobuyoshi Sano (
http://vgmdb.net/artist/405), also known as "sanodg". At the time he was involved with Cavia (the company developer of Dead Aim) and composed for their previous titles such as Drag-on Dragoon and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, both on PS2.
Track "Heroes Never Die" is from Dead Aim and appears on his sanodg works (
http://vgmdb.net/album/14075) album. It is a vocal/remix version of track 12 from the gamerip (the one from joshw.info).

Interesting that track 13 is apparently the long version of the intro music(and it sounds slightly different). I'm guessing that it never made the cut, but it was left inside the game and Capcom forgot to take it out.

In future, any repeat offenders of posting not allowed links will receive a ban. You put the forum at risk when posting music that isn't allowed.

This is not a request. I know my 29/100 post place. But if you will allow me to question the possibility at least.
I recently discovered a game I rather quite regret missing during my younger years; Metal Arms: Glitch in the System (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metal_Arms:_Glitch_in_the_System), and I also discovered that for a 2003 console game, it had really surprising sound design, and more importantly for this topic, a great amount of utterly badass music that I'd dare say should not be allowed to disappear from history!:
An in-game recording:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MisYKyT74U
An official soundtrack piece (The album had much dialogue, even an entire track dedicated to a rather humourous conversation between three of it's characters):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-UtVXuT548
Unfortunately, that music is rarer than anything I've tried to find as of yet. The composer remains active & highly regarded in the high-budget gaming industry, but has nothing in place to keep the game's soundtrack available for purchase or otherwise. I have not encountered a single place whom which has the full collection, with my only success being a dated FFShrine topic that had the soundtrack, but numerous tracks missing.
The game was a multi-platform release for the GameCube, PlayStation & Xbox, but still remains available for purchase on the Xbox 360 as an Xbox Classic. I didn't see the game on your listings, so naturally I don't have the post count to put in a request, but I suppose it can't hurt to ask if this was a game you'd believe would be at least possible to rip from at least one of these platform releases, so if anyone whom can post a request decides to or I come back maybe a year later when I actually have the post count. With the gradually increasing amount of gaming history being lost in the past these days, I'd hate to see at least the music be one of it's victims.

When I searched for Alien Isolation in "Search Single Content Type", it came up with this (
http://forums.ffshrine.org/f72/alien-isolation-video-game-score-digitally-remastered-185936/?highlight=alien+isolation) from user heidl, who arranged it,(44 tracks), but he got "source" from here (
Thread 180467).
Search (keyword(s): alien isolation, user: Alpha23, Exact name checked) didn`t come up with anything with your name and AE together, except in 2015 - MegaThread, the DLC thing, so I can`t compare. And I checked your VGM spreadsheet to check if you already did it and the list here on VGMPP, before posting here yesterday.
And #500 uploads? What is there to say except: excellent work, and let this be enjoyable to you as much and as long as possible. And thanks for your work.

Hitman is partially rippable, but the thing is, once you try to rebuild some of the FSB banks, the FMOD program just crashes/refuses to rebuild them.
And if you can't rebuild those banks, you can't make a complete song. :(
If you plan to rip the music, tell me how it goes. Absolution had some great stealth and combat music.

So it's vorbis again? All other audio formats should be extractable with one of the common programs (fsbext, fsbextractor, fsb_mpeg, mp3extract). Why woukld you need a rebuild?

It's not vorbis, it's actually lossless files.
I reckon the original banks had to be rebuilt because they were 6.1 multichannel 96kHz files. I suspect that's the reason but I'm not too sure...

Only music - the same as the last couple of years. ;)
Thanks Alpha.
I only asked because I found .mp3`s, 30 tracks, 187 megabytes.
I think that they might be these same files though, just saved as mp3, because they do sound good, but I think that there are some glitches, artifacts and what not.
@Everyone else: You might want to try the game, it is quite an unique piece of software. BUT, not unique concept, just unique in quality: good story, nice narrative, and is quite challenging during battles, but without repercussions that will deter you from playing further.
War of the Human Tanks (
http://store.steampowered.com/app/263400/)
Do not let the visuals steer you away from this, if you`re into strategy, just give it a chance.
It is, I think, of Japanese origin, but the game has the best translation ever, and combined with good music (listen to the one Alpha reuploaded, it really differs from what you can hear regularly) during cutscenes, it makes you want to play even more.

Just checked the Prey in the Night DLC from Batman: Arkham Asylum - there's no new music.
I need the other DLC so I can check it.
As for NBA Jam: On Fire Edition - that's a format I definitely don't recognize. But maybe it's EAXA, though I have no idea how to check that... Only checked the PSN version - if anybody has the XBLA version, please send me a link.

I thought you ripped all the DLC music...? Yeah Prey In The Night only uses the Garden music that was in the main game itself.
Play as the Joker is the only one with new music.

note: decode the lwav files with towav for better quality!
note 2: I've included the ambient files because if you mix the phase-inverted track into the first layer of the music track you'll get the almost-clean music! Sometimes you have to fiddle around with the volume for this to work but the result is really stunning. :)

Oh I believe you, you're gonna have a hard time with this one... I used DecUbiSndGui on the PC version and I've gotten more than 25k audio files to sort through. It sucks they didn't separate the SFX from the music like with the Conviction UPK/CPK files...
But I'll wait for your rip since it'll be completely worth it.
Do note, there was a Homeland DLC map set with extra music in it. I don't recall any other DLC for Blacklist...

Batch Command? I don't know what you used for your rips of Conviction, but I used DecUbiSndGui. Basically what I did was...
I choose 'Scan File', after the dialog box pops up, held 'Ctrl' down and I selected all those UAX files. Now because I have all the DLC and included that 'BOOT' folder, export all the files took nearly 3-4 hours. It's a really tedious process, but for the most part, from what I've tried to listen to, the main layers are in the individual level folders.
COMMON_ADV also seems to only contain SFX.
EDIT:
Just not to confuse you, every UAX has music in the file.

I am aware that you are on holiday, so this is for when you've returned home & settled back in.
If you're still hanging on to Dark Void's game music, than I would adore it to be uploaded. I do currently have both the soundtrack CD and a lossless rip hosted on the forums, but hearing the in game's segmented loops or layers from gameplay videos just make me excited to be having more fun with them, especially the parts that create what's known on the OST as "Survivor Camp Combat (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6g9SQpQ8w1o)" (I don't know about anyone else, but hot-damn do I love how Bear McCreary tells one portion of his performers to play their instruments with the delicacy of a flower petal, then another to let the bass rip and the drums beat with the power of a nuclear bomb and puts that together to make a music piece that simply gets the heart racing with passionate adrenaline!).
Hope you're enjoying your holiday and continue to enjoy the time remaining for it.

JBTND just noted that the conversion of TMNT has some problems, This is probably only a problem with the batch file as the streams are correct (extracted with DecUbiSndGUI). I will take a look into this issue some time the next days. If I can solve it, I'll just add the correct batch file for you to grab.
Meanwhile, can somebody test if the conversion works for the other platforms?

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut on PC still uses interleaved MP3 inside FSB containers. I'm not sure about the Ultimate Edition on Mac but I'd imagine it would likely be the same.

Origins was the only game not to have a GOTY, but apparently had a "Complete Edition" listed in Germany but elsewhere, you'd need the Season Pass to have a complete version of Origins.
With regards to Knight, a GOTY is only possible if the game gets nominated for accolades. At least, that's what I've noticed.

Are you exploiting that method to get names off Arkham City GOTY Alpha?
Yes, I'm on it, just need to run a duplicate scan to identify the ones I need.

There you go, added the names to many of the files:
http://forums.ffshrine.org/f72/video-game-music-preservation-project-119745/88.html#post3040122
The BIG problem with the name extractor is that it produces a lot of duplicates on one hand and doesn't write all the data on the other hand. So there are files inside the wad that aren't indexed in the extraction tool. Those are the files with the CRC name in my rip. I deleted all the duplicates (about 300 of them) so the names you see are only one possibility out of sometimes 5 or 6.

Hi and thanks for all these wonderful releases (currently donwloading the TMNT one).
I haven't been here for a while and I didn't see it in the rules, so what about reupload requests, are they allowed? I saw some rips that are now invalid links...
If yes, I'd like first the Tintin (360) one, but if no, just forget I asked for it and i'll try to find it by contacting the ones who liked you release post.
Plus, if requests are currently on, I'd like to make one for the PS2 2003 game Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu. A little soundtrack is findable on the net, but it covers only a few tracks so most are still unavailable anywhere. Same: if requests are off, please don't mind my message. I've been looking for it for years, so one or two more won't kill me.
Again, thanks for all your work

Took a quick glance and saw that all the sounds and music is inside a big *.ss? archive without TOC and additionally in IMA ADPCM format so... No thanks. ;) Sorry mate. :\ (explanation: first, cutting the file would take forever, second, I cannot, even after all these years, construct a working IMA ADPCM header)
Again, thanks for all your work
You're welcome. :D

UPDATE
I'm currently working on Splinter Cell: Blacklist and as you can guess, it's a goddamn pain in the a**. Why? BECAUSE UBISOFT!
- all sounds are stored in Ubisoft's own little format (ubi-interleaved ogg, sometimes plain ogg)
- there are about 100,000 files to check
- plainly visible ogg files were quickly done
- multi-layered files are painstakingly done one by one with DecUbiSndGUI, still roughly 1,600 to go...
- there are errornous files that simply lack a portion of the ogg header. These suck. I've gone so far as to compile the most common headers from the game's ogg files and test them with the errornous files I have. This method works for simple stream files in most cases but not for multi-layered tracks because they'd also need the correct UBI header I think. So far, I've found about 30 of them and I'm quite at a loss here. I'll re-install the game to look for similarities between multilayered files and check if I can at least save the files with the second layer header intact but that's all speculation.
All in all... GODDAMNIT! ;)
On the light side I can say that I've recovered many music segments that I don't think anybody else has recovered yet. :)

Update:
I've written a script that composes all the different headers available in those 27,000 ogg files from SC:B (only 25 different ones). Then I wrote another script that for each headerless file creates 25 files with each available header. Thus I can test which of the header works by listening which ogg sounds correct. Interestingly I found out that both 44.1kHz stereo and 48kHz stereo headers work on the according files. This strongly reminds me of the same case with XMA, where those two specs also work for an according headerless file. That's the reason why I sometimes wrote a note "!freq unknown" into some of my X360 rips.
As I've identified single layer files and sorted the other ones out, all I had to do was check multilayer files of a certain file size if they contain any music. I noticed that all the smaller multilayer files contained no music so it's safe to assume that, if there's any music still inside headerless ubi files it's inside those with a single ogm segment found, i.e. headerless ogg files. I've already checked all the residual files for single-segment files. So, what's left to do is test out the headers with the remaining headerless ogg files to see if they contain any music. I've already found streams that work with none of the headers but the chance for them containing music is quite small as they are below 100kb in size.
So... once I've tested all files with all available headers I can sort the 27,000 files by audio specs with my practical automated script and sort out the music. :) I guess I'll be done in some days.
Safe to say I won't fulfill any Ubisoft requests in the near future. ;)

Wow, that's insane... From what I attempted to rip the PC version using DecUbiSndGUI, Most of the files that were 2:24 in length were only ambience and there were heaps of double files... which is why I preferred Conviction's format of having all the music in one archive over Blacklist's separate UAXs for each level...

UPDATE
Currently ripping the PS2 version of Guitar Hero III. It consists of lots of licensed songs, split into guitar, bass and rest (vocals/percussion/keyboard etc), so nothing you wouldn't expect. Additionally there are slower versions of the guitar and bass tracks, which I will only include for completeness' sake. I don't know if the game has any exclusive ingame music but I'll write a script for the main archive to check that.
The proper renaming takes some time because the names are saved inside the VAGp headers which only support 16 characters... So there's quite a lot of manual work to do before I can finally begin to rip (deinterleave, convert, merge channels and finally re-interleave).
