As BishtyBoshty said, "music" should work fine. Not to be condescending in any way, but are you making sure caps lock isn't on, etc? Also, are you on a PC or a Mac? Macs use "Archive Utility" to expand zip files. Other than that, I use RAR Expander and StuffIt Expander for other extensions.

On my Mac it expanded with Unarchiver, RAR Expander, and keka. With Stuffit it worked but still complained about the password.

With both of your pieces of software zip is in the name, but the file is primarily a "rar" file which is different.

There are many reasons why your software may not be working...

1) incorrect password used (e.g. use of upper case, rather than lower case as "Sully" suggested).
2) the file you have downloaded is incomplete and your software cannot handle it, and defaults to a password message. The complete file is over 350Mb.
3) the software expects the file to contain mp3 components and cannot handle flac components.

You get the idea... this is why I always have a number of packages as alternatives just in case.

Hey there, everyone. Thanks for chiming in. No condescension taken, I was cognizant of my caps. In fact, when it didn't work I tried it with all caps, cap the first letter, and even with variations on spacing.
I am on a PC and I've never had an issue with RAR files - I've done movies in the past sin falta. At one point, it did start to unzip, but then it stopped at the tenth track and I got a "wrong password" error (this was on 7-Zip).

No worries. Y'all have given me a few other avenues with different software - something will eventually stick. I'm going to try downloading it again - something may have happened in the transfer (... a fly entered the chamber just as Jeff Goldblum went in!)

If all else fails, I have a link to an mp3 version, if you're interested. And I'm sure someone here who has the flac could reup it for you. :)

I think someone does have the bugs life C&C in lossless (FLAC). I may have downloaded and converted it a while back. I'll have a look on my computer when I get home. If I have it I'll upload it for you.

You are aware of the isolated score rip of bug's life, yes?

^Oh yeah. I do have the isolated rip, but the thing is, I don't think the sound is mastered for a listening experience, like the actual promo and album are. Now only if SonicAdventure could make a deluxe out of this...

I'm getting the same problem with Ratatouille. Tried using 7zip and Winrar and neither work . Cap locks aren't on. I've tried copying and pasting from the site, in some cases that works for some reason, but in this case nothing seems to be working.

So, although there was never an official Cast and Crew soundtrack created for the first Toy Story, it looks like this will no longer be an issue! The Disney Records Legacy Collection will be released and it contains the entire film score as well as some demo and outtake versions. Awesome!

Has there actually been missing material on the others? Perhaps the original releases were pretty much complete, so that's why there's not much difference? I don't know, as I'm not hugely familiar with the Disney Classics OST's.

I have to say, I agree completely with Lockdown. The whole point of this collection is that these releases are different to the standard ones, and that they're meant to be special to celebrate the particular anniversaries of these films. The best and most obvious way to do that is to release as much of the music as is available. Both The Lion King and now Toy Story have proved that the Disney Music Emporium are trying to do just that.

Studios are a lot better about archiving stuff now, especially with the advent of digital storage. Before, they'd have to shove everything in some dusty storage closet, if even that. Anything unimportant they just got rid of. Disney didn't think anyone would remember or care about that alternate material.

Heck, the BBC in the '60s began getting rid of original Doctor Who tapes. Sometimes they would even erase material on an existing tape to make room for other shit. Whole episodes, gone! (http://wipednews.com/missing-episodes-list/doctor-who/) Physical space was important to studios, so it was out with the old and in with the new. Disney probably had the same philosophy regarding stuff that no one was expected to see anymore (demos, alternates, unused songs, etc.) They likely just don't exist anymore.

I don't see why it's weird that Toy Story is so complete-looking. It's much more recent than most (if not all) of the other films getting a Legacy release, so it makes sense that it's far more likely that the recording sessions are still in the archives for the DME to access.


And yes, Sulley, Lady and the Tramp, the 1997 soundtrack release and Legacy Collections should be complete, in the booklet Randy said the music was sourced from Recording Sessions.

Well I know everything wont match up perfectly. It seems like they combined multiple cues in one track (as heard in the film). But I'm sure its complete though.

Considering the "music specialists" often screw things up badly with OSTs and the like, I say our meddling is justified.

The score from the blu-ray would most likely be almost impossible to isolate. Pixar are very intricate in their sound mixing and all their shorts so far are very mixed up. Fx and dialogue mixed in with the score on all audio channels. The less fastidious you are at sound mixing, the easier it is for us to isolate it. The more a studio cares about it's sound mixing, the harder it is. :/

Am I the only one who thinks that the Toy Story shorts cheapen the ending to the 3rd film jussssssst a little? I mean, the shorts are great, I love 'em but I think it'd have been a lot more powerful of an ending if the ultimate fates of the characters were solely in the minds of the viewers.

Toy Story That Time Forgot I don't think has been released in the States yet.

Am I the only one who thinks that the Toy Story shorts cheapen the ending to the 3rd film jussssssst a little? I mean, the shorts are great, I love 'em but I think it'd have been a lot more powerful of an ending if the ultimate fates of the characters were solely in the minds of the viewers.

I actually really enjoyed both shorts, and am cautiously looking forward to Toy Story 4. I think the first three make the perfect movie trilogy in film history, but I think it's ok to continue doing things with the characters as long as it's good. So far, it's been good. Not brilliantly fantastically amazing, but good. :)

I like exploring what their lives are like now they're living with Bonny. And I like a lot of Bonny's toys. Maybe we'll even see a grown-up Andy in the feature-length films to come?!

If anything at all, I'll wait for Sulley, Lockdown or hack3rman to post the Toy Story That Time Forgot. Speaking of which, haven't they released it on Blu-Ray like a short, like one of the Pixar shorts collections? Someone could get the isolated score layer, if there is one...

A lot of older Pixar shorts just used licensed music rather than having composers come in and write music specifically for the short. Cars is my most-wanted complete score besides ASM2, but so far we have nothing but the 28 minute 18 track FYC. Why couldn't they have produced an FYC for Cars like they did for Mosnters, Inc.??

If I'm recalling correctly it was actually quite tricky to make the edits work. It'd be amusing if it turns out I've done exactly the same thing as the music editors on MU!

I may dig my Bluray of the film out at some point and see if I can match the real edit.

You're half-right on this. I just downloaded the WALL-E Expanded Soundtrack, unzipped the file, and noticed that all files are either incomplete or unusable. That might explain the reduced filesize. The tracks, album art, and misc. contents are dead.
