It's a short, effects heavy film (or a possible film series) that I would like to do. It doesn't have a plot per se, but it's mostly modeled after Jonny Quest, both in the characters, the visual style and the sound (I already have the score from that show as well, and Masaru Sato's work in both films has that quality as well, which is why I'm looking for them) as well as a lot of the 1960s tokusatsu movies and TV shows. I had this idea for a while now, so this is probably a platform for me to pour all of that pent-up imagination out on film and see where that takes me.

GeekPolice.net (

create an account there and list the problems you're having with your laptop. These guys are volunteers and totally legit. They've saved me tons of money over the years with fixing my laptops without having to have the whole thing re-imaged.

I think I know a way to help. Go to this website...
GeekPolice.net (
http://www.geekpolice.net)
create an account there and list the problems you're having with your laptop. These guys are volunteers and totally legit. They've saved me tons of money over the years with fixing my laptops without having to have the whole thing re-imaged.
Thanks! I might just do that! My laptop was ready to go though. The screen/moniter part has been dangling on a single cord and the C drive had 60GB's left out of over 300GB's.

Its not really a problem right now. Just think that im downloading more things like Anime OST's, Tokusatsu OST's, VGM, etc. (Torrent and JDonwloader fucking charged, specially torrent xD) . Weel, as you know i also lost nearly 3 TB of music and i know more or less how is this situation.
Advice: Patience and ask for something if you cant find it.

So, here's a challenge I may have presented somewhere else (can't remember). How about sheet music to some of this stuff-Godzilla, Gamera, ect.,ect., ect. I know there's nothing like this in America but I always wondered if it was released in Japan. Any Ideas.

I am pretty sure that there isn't any sheet music out there. If the score sheets for the films still exist, then the film companies and/or the composers and there families own them. There may be some fan-made sheet music floating around town somewhere.

I knew what you were talking about. The film score sheets can be converted to piano sheet music. The only sheet music released were a few classical works by Akira Ifukube.

Film Composer Selection Iwanami shipped today! If you like Ifukube's Godzilla theme, you will want the rips! If you like piano, you will also like this. I already have the CD rips, but was told not to share them. I'll share the rips from my own copy if or when I get another computer.

I've got Akira Ifukube's Film Music 50th Anniversary Toho Music File (2 CD set) waiting on me to buy. I may also get Complete Recordings 8 (extremely rare) and Akira Ifukube Soundtrack Anthology, all are two disc sets. On top of that, I may be getting the U.S. release of Destroy All Monsters too. I am currently hoping Toho Music will re-release Ifukube's Giant Monster Varan score soon in the future. I hope y'all will have a nice day!

It is. I already have the CD rips to it, but decided it was time to get an actual copy. Track 20 on the second disc is my favorite track on the set. It can be found on Film Works by Akira Ifukube Vol.7. I will be paying $56 for it. I payed $73.95 for Complete Recordings Vol.2. That set contains the score to “King Kong vs. Godzilla” (1962) and “Giant Monster Varan” (1958). His score for Varan is my favorite of all of his scores. “The Humpbacked Pony” (1975) is probably my second fave Ifukube score with “Sakuma Dam Part 2” (1955) being my third fave Ifukube score. My fourth favorite Ifukube score is “Godzilla” (1954).

Today I have something for you again:

The Best of Godzilla Volume One 1954-1975 (FILMCD 201) (

Tracklist and more information (

The Best of Godzilla Volume Two 1984-1995 (FILMCD 202) (
http://www.file-upload.net/download-7233668/The-Best-of-Godzilla-Volume-Two-1984---1995--FILMCD-202-.rar.html)
Tracklist and more information (
http://www.godzillamonstermusic.com/FILMCD202.htm)
The two releases contain the (in my opinion) best and whole balanced selections of the Godzilla films from 1954 to 1995! You get all important themes for all of the first 22 Godzilla films - These compilations are very recommendable to all these people, who don't want to download all of the complete OSTs of the movies and are also satisfied with getting some important themes of every film instead...
Many people seem to get confused, because there are several best ofs of a similar kind out there, so I now explain you the differences:
http://www.godzillamonstermusic.com/G5464-f.jpghttp://www.godzillamonstermusic.com/G5465-f.jpg
The Best Selected Music of Godzilla Vol. 1 + 2 (aka Then + Now; TYCY-5464 + TYCY-5465)
These two discs were released in Japan in 1995 by Futureland (the label also brought us the Great Godzilla OST and Toho SF OST Collections as many others more)
and are basically the same as the both FILMCD 201 + 202 I've uploaded here now!
The only differences are the release year (the FILMCDs are released in 1998 to accompany the upcoming theatrical release of the Emmerich Fuckzilla), the label (Silva Screen Records), the localization of release (released in Europe and Australia only) and (of course) the brief movie descriptions on the booklets are in english (the Futureland releases had japanese texts as you quietly can imagine) - So the tracks the CDs containing and their order of appearance, with the running times of each track as well as the whole disc running times are IDENTICAL!!! So the both Silva Screen releases are in fact public domain re-releases of the Futureland discs for the european/australian market! ;)
http://www.godzillamonstermusic.com/GNPD8055.jpghttp://www.godzillamonstermusic.com/GNPD8056.jpg
The Best of Godzilla 1954-1975 + 1984-1995 (GNPD 8055 + 8056)
These both discs were released for the US american and the canadian market by GNP Crescendo (also some copies arrived in other parts of the world, so I found them also in some european stores back then), also in 1998 to accompany that dumb Emmerich-flick...
So, these two discs are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT to the other releases by Futureland/Silva Screen Records!!!
Other track selections are used, the booklets are colorful and full of pictures and (sometimes factually wrong: so Godzilla Raids Again is allegedly released in 1959, not in 1955 as it was in true or the music for the 1974 Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla was reputedly made by Akira Ifukube instead of Masaru Sato, the real composer for that movie and so on...) information about the films, short sound effect cues are used within the music tracks, the track selection is completely different as in the Futureland/Silva Screen releases and (and that's the main annoying point on these discs) many tracks are very repetitive (for example 2 tracks for Destroy All Monsters represent in fact the same theme, also used for Ghidorah '64), on the other hand many films got only ONE track either (Godzilla Raids Again, Ghidorah - The Three Headed Monster, Invasion of Astro Monster and Godzilla vs Hedorah), music for Ebirah - Horror of the Deep was completely absent(!?) and they putted in Mothra's Song of Mothra '61 (actually NOT a Godzilla film at all), instead of there was a large use of record versions of some Godzilla songs (for example Godzilla March of Godzilla vs Gigan, Miyarabi's Prayer of Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla '74 and a strange pop version of Mothra's Song for Godzilla vs Mothra '92 were used), in my eyes a totally useless decision, because they took away too many playtime what had could be used for more (unique sounding) tracks for the other films...
As you see, I wasn't really pleased with that releases, so I prefered the other releases by Futurland/Silva Screen Records! ;)
So my final conclusion:
Silva Screen made a wise choice!!! :D

http://www.godzillamonstermusic.com/G5464-f.jpghttp://www.godzillamonstermusic.com/G5465-f.jpg
So I can only recommend the two FILMCD releases (as well as the two japanese Futureland releases, in fact of their are technically the same) I've uploaded today, because they have the nicest and (as said before) most balanced selections (you get all important themes and nothing is too repetitive at all - unlike as on the 2 GNP discs) - as a little bonus I made scans of the covers and booklets all contained in the archives along with the music files! :)

Film Composer Selection Iwnami has music to all three Sakuma Dam films, with the Part 2 selection having the full score. Based on the cue numbers (M numbers), only a couple of cues are not present for the Part 2 selection.

Great news everyone! I am happy to say that Akira Ifukube Complete Recordings Vol.2 (LD25-503536) arrived this morning today! This volume contains the complete score for “King Kong vs. Godzilla” (1962) on the first disc and “Giant Monster Varan” (1958) on the second disc.
I got a chance to listen to both discs and enjoyed the set.
I really enjoyed “King Kong vs. Godzilla” in this set. The first track has Ifukube or someone speaking. I really love the chants/songs on here. This score is one of Ifukube's best in the Godzilla series. By the way, this is the MONO score for the film, not STEREO!
I prefer the Varan score on this set over the 1996 single disc release. Why? Well, first of all, the first track has Ifukube or someone speaking. The '96 release of Varan does not contain this track. Second of all, the tracks on here are unedited, as they were recorded. The '96 release has fade-outs on two of the tracks. On this release, it seems like these tracks will fade out, but they only lower volume and finish until they end abruptly and you here clattering in the scoring room. In fact, on track 14, Varan vs. The Patrol Boat Uranami B (M14), has what sounds like laughter when the music ends. This was edited out in the '96 release. Besides the TV score, the bonus tracks found in the '96 release are not present, but this isn't a bad thing.
Another cool thing is that the booklet has the lyrics (in the english alphabet) to all of the chants heard in both scores, now I can read what I'm hearing.
Overall a release, in my opinion, that is better than the single releases of the scores. Also, I have the original '88 release. The Complete Recordings series was reissued in 1992. I highly recommend this release or the '92 reissue. If you find either release, GRAB IT FAST!, as they are extremely hard to find.
Thank you for your time and I hope the rest of your day will be fantastic!

Yeah, I also don't like the GNP releases. If I'm correct they didn't include any Ebirah tracks because one of the producers of the disc hated Sato's Ebirah score. It is a very childish thing they did.

Really, that's not a very professional move of a CD producer by make such a stupid and selfish decision while making such a compilation... :(
So, I'm very glad about me being so wisely back then and first choosing the Silva Screen releases! ;)
Decent look, but great ingredients!
I ever hoped, that these both CDs will get a re-release somedays, with the addition of a third disc of it's great manufacturing kind focussing on the millennium era films... Maybe someone will take on this next year by accompanying the Legendary/WB Godzilla rumbling through the theaters worldwide... :)

I so wish I could help with that. I am also planning to re-do my 5 disc set. When I get another computer, I will stretch it to around 15 discs instead of 5. The only problem is when I make the track listings, I want to add the cue numbers for the individual tracks. So what ever I will add must have the cue numbers. Some releases don't have the cue numbers, therefore I can't include anything that doesn't have those cue numbers.

So I will make it much way easier, I rip them out of CD in uncompressed, true and godlike Wave format :D Then I took up between 1, 2 3 or 4 tracks of each soundtrack best resembling the main or much important themes and make a few suits out of them... I'm also able to make them in surround stereo through my equipment - I just call it "doing some MAGIC" ;)

What I do is I take my favorite tracks and mend them into 10-15 minute suites. When I re-do my 5 disc Ifukube set, I will throw some full scores to the mix. I will also take some of the suites and make them around 30 minutes long instead of around 15 minutes long.

Yeah, but I still prefer the classical method, track by track, so it's much easier for most people to get to their favorite tracks directly :)
@Teddybear, yeah... when... But this when stucks still in an unpredictable future... :D

I forgot that is the main reason I wanted to re-do my set. I wanted the suites to be individual tracks. I really don't know how I forgot about that. Can you please add Varan vs. The Fighter-Bomber Neptune (M12) to your Ifukube compilation you will be making? It never, except once, gets added to an Ifukube compilation. If you can, and want to add it, I have the full unedited track as it was recorded. Every track of M12 on other releases fade out, this release of M12 finishes until the music ends. I would be really happy for someone to finally add it to an Ifukube compilation.

It took me years to acquire my collection. I started in the early 90s when the economy was much better. And of course G-FEST Dealer rooms always had rare items at the best prices.
I'm one of those collectors that removes tags if you didn't notice. Haha! I never buy something because I think it's going to be valuable or because I plan to resell. I buy it to keep it and display it without tags or boxes. I have a friend who collects and when you go over his his house, everything is in wrappers, has tags, or is in boxes. To each his own.

Anyways, hope Brandon get a new PC soon for the sharing of those wonderful music. Dont know if someone already know this but there is a channel called SyFy which use to broadcast old Godzilla movies, rare horror movies, etc. And yesterday the turn was for Mechagodzilla! Haha, impressive. Its wonderful to see a not too good movies can have some really awesome scores. I guess its the same like the videogame/animes, some are horrible and the music is top.

Leitbild, I remember that a track from "Adventure in Kigan Castle" (1966) that you uploaded to YouTube has the Godzilla theme in it. Also, three tracks from Film Composer Selection Iwanami, two from "Sakuma Dam Part 1" (1954) and one from "Sakuma Dam Part 2" (1955), have part of the Godzilla theme in them. A track from "Baluchaung Project" (1960), also from Film Composer Selection Iwanami, has the Mechagodzilla theme as it appears in "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla" (1993). Yes, Baruuchan Project is actually called Baluchaung Project. The booklet had "Baluchaung Project" in English written in it. I did a bit of research and I found out that the Baluchaung is a dam in Burma.
