Raz ()
Razputin (or Raz for short) is the main character of the game Psychonauts, voiced by Richard Horvitz. He is a ten-year-old boy who was raised in the circus. He showed considerable psychic potential at an early age, but was forbidden to use his powers by his (unnamed) father. Raz's father commanded him to constantly practice difficult acrobatic maneuvers, leading Raz to believe that he hated him for having psychic abilities; in truth, his father was himself a psychic and feared for Razputin's safety, hoping that demanding physical training would help him develop discipline over his mental powers as well. Heather's real name is Cheryl Mason, the adopted daughter of the horror novelist Harry Mason, who survived Silent Hill. Oh, don't get me wrong. I love the Zelda games as much as anyone. It's just that I can't give a knee-jerk vote based on that. Larry's a fantastic character and a lot of fun, whereas Zelda is mostly just a plot device. There's really no comparison there.

Daniel Fortesque, possibly Scottish (who will be referred to as Dan) was a knight, serving under King Peregrin of Gallowmere, who eventually made him Commander of the Army. His position was an honorary one, however. Regardless, Peregrin enjoyed stories, and Dan excelled at telling stories. However in the year of 1286, Zarok, an evil wizard and former advisor to Peregrin returned from forced exile, due to his experiments concerning the dead. During his time, he had created legions of the Undead and demonic creatures in order to conquer the realm of Gallowmere. King Peregrin organized a grand army, and Sir Dan was selected to lead them as captain. When Zarok's armies fired the first round of arrows, Dan was struck in the eye and died in the first charge. The battle continued on without him, and Zarok was eventually defeated. King Peregrin, determined to make Dan's memory last, told them all a skewed version of the events of the battle, in which Dan successfully led the Peregrin's army to victory and defeated many demons. He claimed Dan was struck in the eye (which was true) whilst doing battle with Zarok, eventually killing him with his dying breath (which was a lie). In reality, Zarok had escaped near the end of the battle. The King's men erected a crypt for Dan, and placed him in it, where he lay for the next century, celebrated as the hero of Gallowmere. Quite possibly the best named VGC ever.

Proto Man is a video game character from the Classic Mega Man series by Capcom. In Japan, he is known as Blues, after the musical style of the same name.
