I know neither of these characters personally. This is a very hard choice. Daxter is a funny character and an ottsel. Balmung on the otherhand is dead serious with a strong personality.

I'm going to put through Daxter, purely because too many little names are getting through because of their developed characters. I think some people are forgetting that not every game needs to tell you motives or reasons for peoples actions and that a game is just as good if the character has a basic and pointless background as long as the game is fun to play. This rumble isn't about the most developed character it's about the most fun and enteratining one to be.

Earthbound
Ness is a fictional character and the hero of the EarthBound video game. He is an unassuming young boy, gifted with special powers. He comes from Onett, a small town in Eagleland, and lives next door to a boy named Pokey Minch, who becomes one of the main antagonists later in the game. Ness is a silent protagonist though his thoughts are shown at one point.

Similar to the story of the original Doom, the game focuses on an anonymous marine who is transferred to an extraterrestrial base on a routine mission. Following the unexpected arrival of demons via experimental teleportation gates, the marine is forced to fight his way through a variety of demonic monsters to reach safety. Also in both cases the protagonist visits Hell, though in the original Doom, it is the third episode Inferno (Ultimate Doom adds a fourth, Thy Flesh Consumed), whereas in Doom 3 it is only one level.

WTF Prak? I don't suck, I just never played the Space Quest games because as you know, I'm NOT a PC gamer for reasons you already know. If I had played, I'm sure I would have voted for him instead of that dumb Leon.

Never had the pleasure of playing the original Mother/Earthbound or any of its sequels unfortunately. But he was pretty cool in Melee, I'll give him that.

either way, if this was the marine from the original doom, i'd vote for him. but this is the one from doom3. so no thank you. that game sucked and so did the "story" and so did everything about it.

I've never found the Doom series appealing; hell, I'm not even familiar with the Marine character, but from what little I've read of him, he seems like a bore.
