I had a feeling this one would appear

Fried snagged his fourth and final Emmy nom for part 3, too. Hopefully parts 2 and 3 will be "forthcoming".

And I was scouting for images last night and never came across that one. You do seem to have a knack for that. ;)

:) It's a combination of a TV Guide cover with the background removed (there was a group of modern day tourists visible!) and a new background blended in from a photo of one of the French locations.

Still, the only readily available version of that particular TV Guide cover is low, low, low-res (there's only so long I'll look), so you still managed to pull a lapin out of a chapeau. :)

Edit: Aha! It finally showed up in search.

It probably should be noted that Bill Conti wrote the Main Theme. I didn't know that until today.

Haven't listened to it yet. Does Fried use and/or adapt the theme in his score, or does he ignore it?

Fried does quote it here and there.

When you get around to listening to it you'll realise that sadsack was working with a problematic source for this one - that main theme sounds very muffled. Other cues are extremely quiet, and raising the volume introduces some hiss. I'm slowly working my way through the tracks and tweaking them to suit my own ears. Not complaining - it is what it is, and I'm grateful for it.

Sorry, I jumped to conclusions - this has that "muffled Left channel, bright Right channel" thing we were talking about. But not on every track. And some seem to be stereo. Is it all stereo? That muffled channel makes it hard to tell. I've spent most of the day plodding through each track and correcting as much as I can. It's actually a good way to become familiar with the score.
