After Part One (Thread 207681) and Part Two (Thread 215372), Gerald Fried concludes this compelling historical saga with a wealth of new music, including some stirring battle cues (�The Battle Of Austerlitz�, �Retreat From Moscow�) and a standout action cue (�The Assassination Attempt�). The score maintains its focus on the complex romantic problems of the two protagonists, and climaxes with a lovely, delicate version of the love theme (�My Josephine�) as Napoleon says goodbye to Josephine on her death bed. This is followed by a subtle fadeout cue that isn�t used in the film (�Napoleon Goes Into Exile�) in which Fried sensitively scores Bonaparte beginning his carriage ride to the island of Elba; the finished scene is effectively tracked with Conti�s theme, but it�s nice to hear Fried�s version.
Two tracks among these new files remain unidentified - there were no slate numbers and no way to determine which episode they were intended for. I�ve included these unused cues at the end as bonus tracks.
