If you can watch this (http://putlocker.is/watch-cars-online-free-putlocker.html), skip to 1:18:23. It worked fine for me just now.

Please watch it if you can and let me know what you think of it. Listen to the cue, not the dialogue! Randy Newman at his emotional best. I think it's the most moving cue he's written.

Maybe it must be real good when listened alone without the dialogue, and the music so low. It's pretty nice alright.

By the way, I remember I saw this movie in the theatres back in 2006.

So we can ilegally put music, but not movies in just a link? Alright.

Yay! You listened to it! :)

You see, it's not just the awesome race cues, but the quiet cues too. I regularly listen to "Goodbye" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rY2oROqLM48) as I fall asleep. But unfortunately it's those cues that most often get forgotten and left off the OST.

Don't start crossing lines you cannot distinguish.
This is an old argument.

There are no streaming movies here, no matter what section of the forum.
Torrents aren't allowed either.

Sites can be taken down entirely a lot quicker with movie streaming.
Movie studios have more power when it comes to movies than music.

Here we just get asked to not post links (for music).

Post a movie and the whole site can be shut down without anyone's say or knowledge.
It's that simple.

No: these Releases (In My Opinion) Have Been A Bit of A Disspointment.

zach66
07-17-2015, 11:22 AM
I agree that some have been real disappointments (Pinocchio especially), but on the other hand we have got/will get full score albums of The Lion King, Toy Story and Pocahontas. The first real release of Aristocats in the US, and a fully filled bonus disc on the Cinderella release (with all the earlier download only released Lost Chords). So even that some of them have been a letdown, I think in general that it should be well worth of a continuation of the series - but deep inside I agree with Mr. Golds earlier statement: I dont think it will go on. But I hope the future proves me wrong on that. :)

James (The Disney Guy)
07-17-2015, 02:48 PM
Well maybe lion king, Toy Story and Pocahontas. But everything (for Me Complete Let Down) Especially Fantasia. (As I Had Both Versions) :p

Sleeping beauty, Cinderella and Pinocchio's Disc 1 Was Just A Re-release of the original Cds.

I agree with Mr. Gold. The collection might continue, I wish it continues, but the administrators of the official website (Disney Music Emporium | The Official Site (http://www.disneymusicemporium.com)) seem not to care anymore. They don't update the content. Albums are still offered in Pre-Order when they are already out, stopped updating the main banner, etc. This thread is more updated than the official website.

pottyaboutpotter1

If it continues, I can see it continuing in purely digital form. I haven't seen anything about sales figures for the collection but if they were good Disney would certainly put more effort into promoting the remaining releases. And it wouldn't be the first time Disney has quietly cancelled a release line for no discernible reason (3D Blu-Rays for Disney's last few films in the US for example)

Meanwhile, I hope the cut made for the original soundtrack album in the opening track - The Virginia Company, and somehow restored in an album of song instrumentals I found on Thread 139192 will also be heard in the new release.

I hope for 2016, there will be Legacy releases for Tangled (5th anniversary), Beauty and the Beast (25th anniversary) and The Hunchback of Notre Dame (20th anniversary). While Tangled had the FYC CD that contained the bulk of the score, Beauty and the Beast and Hunchback has yet to release the complete score (and all three of those movies has amazing scores).

Surprisingly, Tarzan was overlooked for it's 15th anniversary back in 2014 (then again, it's not my favorite film IMO, so I'm not missing much as far as getting the complete score is concerned. It ranks right up there with Hercules as my least favorite film and both their scores are nothing special, though "I Won't Say (I'm in Love)" from Hercules is the only saving grace from that movie).

Tangled I Believe Would Be To Young to Warrent A Legacy Release, Beauty and the Beast + Hunchback Would Be Ideal As They Are Very Popular And Well Liked Scores However There Seems to Be No Intention Of A Second Phase (At Least Stated As Yet)
Tarzan Is One Of My Least Fav Disney's Very Slow And Would Seem Like A Choice Because Of The Phil Collins Input. I Am Afraid I Must Disagree Regarding Hercules It Is A Fav Of Mine And I Would Like A Complete or Even Expanded Release.

You guys are insane! :P I love Tarzan and Mancinas score definitely deserves a complete release! Although just like Tangled... It's too young to have a release. It seems like the film has to be at least 20 years old, and must have been successful both at the box office and critical reception.

I would welcome Beauty And The Beast next year - and I hope, at least, all the music heard in the 10th anniversary expanded edition, and the alternative versions used in the early version, plus the instrumental tracks. Of course, not forgeting the basic offerings of the songs. That would be my album of choice. As for Hunchback, I'm just starting to learn about it, and I'd love to check the complete score out. Let's see how Disney would do the work! :)

16 tracks on the OST. Yep, this one's expanded, folks.

Damn, I was sure they wouldn't. After all, it's an older movie and the masters for most of those have been lost. I guess I'll have to consider my Legacy Collection purchases one short now. Fickle, fickle Disney.

I will not fear. But it'll be still one month till I can put the CD in my CD player. I asked a friend to bring the CD with him to China when he comes to work here. I hope that I can get a download here to satisfy my excitement. :)

Actually Disney was very happy with the original lines as they suited the film. Disney's assumption was that because the lines are sung by the film's villain, there would be no issue (as kids would know that because a villain says something and the hero says the opposite the hero is right). It was only after the early screenings shortly before release that parents/moral guardians got in a huff so Disney did last minute changes, but it was too late for the early presses of the soundtrack meaning both versions of the song are in circulation. Savages Part 2 also has an alternate version in circulation with different instrumentation in the opening half of the song. The song has been criticised by critics and moral guardians for being racist when taken out of context and state it encourages racism towards Native Americans, despite that... you know... it's sung by the villain.

I'm very lucky to own the original CD pressing with the uncensored lyrics to "Savages I" from the now defunct Caldor (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caldor) store back in 1995 (it was on one of those hard to open blisterpacks). I don't mind if the Legacy version is censored, as I could rip it to iTunes and put the censored one as a bonus track.

TBH I Thought Disc 1 Of The Aristocats Would Just Be The 16 Track Release Already Avaliable But, Its Completly Expanded Maybe Complete. Yes True Some May And Have Been Re-Released But There Are Some Which Have So Many NoReleased Material And Granted It The Newer Stuff. But Again All The Demos And Addition Tracks Are Bonus. And Example I Was Super Pleased With the Bonus Track On Fantasia "Peter And The Wolf" From Make Mine Music As Nothing For That Film Has Ever Surfaced And Its Clean Of SFX!

So Some A Really Warrented. Even If Only One Disc.

Most of the Legacy Collection have included new material. Tons of it. For the older films the unreleased material just might not exist or not be in a good enough quality to release. But for the newer films, we've seen lots of new material. Look at Lion King, Toy Story and Pocahontas. They're all significantly expanded if not complete. And considering another wave of releases will likely include Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin, I'd say it's worth more releases for significantly expanded scores for those (especially Beauty and the Beast). And if it continues we'll also likely see releases for Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Tarzan and others. And honestly, Disney officially releasing expanded/complete scores for them would be amazing.

There seems to be a few panels that are music focused at D23. The main one seems to be The Tunes Behind The Toons on Sunday. If that's focused on the music behind Disney films (which is probably is) we might see more Legacy Collections announced. We can 100% expect Beauty and the Beast, Snow White and Aladdin to be in the possible next wave (as all the Disney Princess films have been receiving Legacy Collections and they're celebrating anniversaries) with Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Bambi, Alice in Wonderland, 101 Dalmatians, The Jungle Book, The Rescuers, The Fox and the Hound, The Great Mouse Detective, Monsters, Inc and others being among the films which could receive Legacy Collections in the next wave. Out of all those, I'd say the ones most likely to be on the next wave are Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Snow White, Bambi, Alice in Wonderland and The Jungle Book.

I can definitely see all those happening... Except Hercules. Critically it was a mixed bag and the box office was just ok. I've noticed that The Legacy Collection so far are films that were successful critically (both critic and audiences), popular did very well at the box office.

Oh I've almost forgot about "The Great Mouse Detective" and it's 30th next year. I can't wait for that, as it's one of my favorite Mancini scores ("Breakfast at Tiffany's" being another).

So yeah, that's another one I am anticipating, along with Hunchback and Beauty and the Beast (mainly because I love the score when The Beast shows Belle his library). I hope there will be a Legacy Collection for "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" for it's 45th next year, as that one definitely needs it.

New to this thread, but i'd like to add that i really wouldn't mind digital releases: no shipping costs, possibilities for high resolution (24 bit) files. I bought the original soundtrack a couple of years ago, very happy with it. Still, what i would have loved from the legacy edition is an instrumental version of 'ev'rybody wants to be a cat'. That doesn't appear to be the case, but it'll be interesting to check out the demo's. The swing jazz on this soundtrack is very uplifting and, well, swinging! :)

Doesn't mean the line is done. There wasn't news about Avengers: Infinity War but that movie is still in production. Don't assume the line is cancelled until Disney says it's cancelled. Disney likes to play things very close to the chest. From experience they only announce something if they have a firm date of when it will be available (see the Aladdin Diamond Edition only being confirmed a while ago). Disney aren't vague about things. If there's more Legacy Collections coming, they'll announce them when they've decided what films will receive them. Disney just doesn't like giving vague statements like "There's more coming" or "this film will receive a sequel eventually". Look at Oz: The Great and Powerful 2. Disney confirmed they were thinking about a sequel, but haven't announced anything since and probably won't until they have something substantial to announce (release date or writers/directors).

pottyaboutpotter1
08-19-2015, 01:44 PM
If Disney knows the demand for them they'll find a solution that satisfies all (Black Cauldron is now confirmed to be getting a Blu-Ray release after years of begging from fans). If it's only appealing to collectors, Disney might make future releases limited or just make them digital.

pottyaboutpotter1
08-19-2015, 01:59 PM
Confirmed where?

Well Disney hasn't announced it yet but all the signs are pointing to it. Black Cauldron merchandise (though limited) is appearing again in Disney Stores, Disneyland Paris did a limited edition pin and the film is receiving special screenings over four days in October at the El Capitan theatre (the theatre in Los Angeles devoted to Disney films). Plus a remastered version of the film in HD has already aired on TV. It's the film's 30th anniversary and quite frankly all the signs are there. Plus, the bigger piece of news, a Disney employee let slip the film is scheduled for release when responding to a fan's email.

pottyaboutpotter1
08-19-2015, 02:10 PM
Please don't give me scares like that, if the film hasn't been confirmed yet by Disney,. why are they making us wait?! When's the date?

What about A GOOFY MOVIE?

If the film has aired in HD on ABC or Disney Channel at some point, a Blu-Ray release is all but confirmed (Hercules aired in HD on ABC Family a few months before it's Blu-Ray was announced). Black Cauldron has aired in HD so it's release is incoming (because you know, why remaster the movie in HD just to air it on TV?). A Goofy Movie is interesting. I've no idea what's happening with that. It might get a Blu Ray announced soon to be part of the October line up (coincidently when Black Cauldron is heavily tipped to drop). And Black Cauldron is likely to be October. Shortly after the cinema screenings I bet.

pottyaboutpotter1
08-19-2015, 02:14 PM
I imagine they'll be announced next month for October release. If not, possibly December? Although I think Black Cauldron will certainly be October. Probably around Halloween as it is a very dark film.

We have no confirmation the line is done. Disney has neither confirmed or denied the line is finished. But it wouldn't be the first time Disney has quietly dropped a product line with no fanfare due to low sales (if the collection did indeed suffer from low sales). Otherwise, we're just waiting to see if Disney will announce more to see if the collection has a future, either physically or digitally.

so, no hunchback or three caballeros?

Well these releases fall under 2 categories... Anniversaries, and success.

If you notice, all the previous releases were celebrating a milestone anniversary (20th, 25th 30th etc...), and they were all both successful critically and with box office.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame wouldn't qualify for the releases last year since it wasn't celebrating a milestone anniversary. Although it will be the 20th anniversary later this year. If Disney did continue the series into this year I have no doubt that The Hunchback of Notre Dame would be included.

I have a hard time seeing The Three Caballeros getting a release though. Its 70th anniversary was 2 years ago so it missed that qualification already, and as far as critical reception goes it was very mixed. And I'm having a hard time finding Box Office information.

pottyaboutpotter1

I was looking forward to a complete version of Beauty and the Beast (which will probably happen on November 22, 2016 or on September 20th when the new blu-ray comes, but it won't be Legacy, but probably a new thing all-together), Bedknobs and Broomsticks and The Hunchback of Notre Dame (kinda too late, as the anniversary passed already).

pottyaboutpotter1

I'll be surprised if Disney don't release a new edition of the soundtrack for the film's 25th Anniversary, especially since it's one of their most successful and popular films and Alan Menken's score is one of the most praised Disney scores.

the Disney Music Emporium Facebook posted that there's going to be an announcement tomorrow along with two samples of Lorelay Bov's artwork, so we'll find out if the collection is continuing or not tomorrow. One of the pieces of artwork consists of three arrows, which if it's for a Legacy Collection release, strongly suggests that we may finally get a release of Bruns' Robin Hood.

Here are the links to the artwork:

Rescuers... plz.

pottyaboutpotter1
05-22-2017, 11:10 PM
OH MY GOD YES. I'm so glad they're continuing these. Likely possibilities for this wave, presuming they're sticking to anniversaries, include;

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Bambi
Peter Pan
The Sword in the Stone
The Jungle Book
The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh
Pete's Dragon
The Rescuers
Tron
Oliver and Company
Beauty and the Beast (even though the anniversary was last year, they can release this to tie in with the remake)
Aladdin
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (despite the anniversary being last year)
Hercules
Mulan
A Bug's Life
Lilo and Stitch
Treasure Planet
Finding Nemo
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
Brother Bear
Ratatouille
Enchanted
WALL-E

The ones marked in bold are the ones I think have stronger chances of being released. But any mixture of the above films would make a good second wave. If there's going to be 12 releases in this wave like the first than I'm hoping for (in no particular order):

Robin Hood
Beauty and the Beast
Aladdin
The Jungle Book
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Enchanted
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
Mulan
A Bug's Life
The Sword in the Stone
Hercules
Finding Nemo

I think Sony still holds the rights to release Star Wars music, so a Star Wars Legacy Collection would likely have to involve them which makes it difficult. I think we're more likely to see films from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar and Walt Disney Pictures get Legacy Collections rather than Marvel and Lucasfilm. Tron and Pirates of the Caribbean are more likely to get Legacy Collections.

Tron and Pirates of the Caribbean are more likely to get Legacy Collections.

Sony lost the rights at the start of the year, which is why the digital releases done this year all carry Disney's name and not Sony's.

Oh ok I wasn't aware of that. But I still think a Star Wars Legacy Collection is very unlikely. Simply because it's only a recent addition to Disney's, well, legacy.
