Hey There Is A Mix Of People Wanting FLAC & MP3 Why Not Have Both :)

I don't mind posting both, in fact I use to do it. But I quite that for 2 reasons...

1. I only listen to FLAC whenever it's avaliable

2. It's saves me a whole lot more space both on my computer, and when uploading to a hosting site. I freed up over 100 gigs just by deleting the MP3 copies of scores I already had in FLAC.

Hi everyone, I haven't really been on in a while, but I did a quick search through the thread and I was ecstatic to find Chris's Disneyland collections were posted. His recreation of the topiary gardens complete with the ticking clock, queue music, and bilingual announcements was absolutely incredible, in my opinion. I was also happy to find more Toontown music, and Matterhorn queue music. So thanks everyone, this music made my day.

I also have a little request to make. Way long ago, in January when Kirk 101 was pretty new and was only able to share 64 kbs music, he shared the area music from "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh". Now, recently I have noticed that I have a ton of Disneyland esplanade music, but unfortunately, I had no idea what order the tracks were in our what was currently played there. I don't think that there was a correct list of it anywhere on the internet either. (Not even mouse bits!) So I pieced it together from some live recordings I was able to find, and I think I've got the whole thing together. However, one of the songs played consists of fragments from the aforementioned WTP music. I tried snipping it but the quality was horrendous. I believe that Kirk's audio could be traced back to a live, 128 kbps WDW recording on mousebits, which I have here (https://mega.co.nz/#!sopEGQQS!OdejssEEbC_OaVoLe3Y_JDyBiEes-hpBLox5s-6Dzm0). The album shared by Kirk on this site was split up into the different songs. So anyways, I would really appreciate if somebody could split this original version up without losing quality, so then I would have a better quality version and be able to further cut it to fit in with the current Esplanade Music, which I would be more than happy to share with all of you. (If the volume could raised as well, that would be awesome!)

Hey there, everyone, there's something I've always hopped to find, but suspect it just doesn't exist. I figured I would run it by this group and hope for the best:

There was a Wonderful World of Color episode called Disneyland Showtime. To help recollect it was an episode that starred the Osmond Brothers and Kurt Russell. It's deliciously cheesy full of 'hip music' and a great snapshot of early 70s Disneyland. The episode concludes with a 15-minute documentary on the building of the Haunted Mansion and it's this part of the episode I'm interested in. Over the making-of bit there is an instrumental version of Grim Grinning Ghosts that is really fantastic. Alas, Kurt Russell is talking through most of it, so it's difficult to scrape it for audio - or at least with the equipment I have.

Does anyone happen to have this audio without the dialogue?

Hi Bison, You asked me this too, a long time ago. Unfortunately, because the program was recorded in mono, it is impossible to extract the dialogue from the music. This can only be done effectively with stereo recordings. The only way to get that music is to have the original source recording. This is something that Disney has never let out of the vault. There is also a possibility that the original masters have either been damaged, lost, or destroyed. Unfortunately, Disney did not always have the foresight back in those days to hold onto things like this, never thinking they would be coveted in later years. Sorry I had to be the barer of bad news. :(

I just listened to the loop. I don't want to be the voice of opposition here, but I kind of doubt that this is the loop because it's literally just the movie soundtrack strung all on one track. When somebody posted (on the other thread) the YouTube video of the BGM being tested on site at DLP, I heard a newly arranged orchestration of Ratatouille music, which made me really excited because I'm a big fan of the soundtrack. I hope that they recorded some new music for the area.

PS: If Del Torro ever does make a Haunted Mansion film, and they release a Blue Ray with extras, if they include the Haunted Mansion tour with Kurt Russel as one of the extras, then there may be a slight change it many be presented in surround sound, just as most blue ray releases are. If this ever does happen, they may have the music and dialogue placed on separate channels. So if they do have the original audio masters for this film, that might be a way in which it would be put out there. This would be years away, but you never know...

1. They all were repeats, but in different format and/or quality. Don't want Gold to have to answer to re-up request of files he doesn't have ( unless he downloaded them for himself ).
2. Subscription ending tomorrow ( Don't see the need to pay $$ for it since I received complaints about host site ). I just decided to keep deleting....and rid the others on Mega too. Bitter? Yes!
3. Like Gold said so many times.... "I'm done.... etc..." I feel the same at times, probably will get over it.
4. I love FLAC quality and it appears most of you don't and because I fear MP3 has been trans-coded over the years over and over, but I can't prove that, nor is it a discussion to be hashed around here, just an opinion and not proven.
5. I've asked for artwork, and only ONE individual was kind enough to take a few moments to gather some up to share, and I shared a whole lot of art, not to mention I always include it with my file shares as well. Yes, you get bitter after awhile, but you know whose fault that is, now don't you? You don't? Look in a mirror to get a good idea! Hehehehehe

Me too, I'm glad to have been able to see how much effort you and others have put in. It's a shame :(

I actually don't mind people posting in FLAC. Yes, it's more of an effort for me to convert for my own library. Do I mind? Not at all, I'd rather do that and be happy knowing I've added a new Disney soundtrack to my collection. I don't understand why people would moan about people who USE FLAC and posting their own FLAC collections in their own spare time. Tbh, I'd rather use FLAC, but my desktop died so I'm having to just use my laptop as my music library for now and I'm using iTunes... so we know that's a no go haha.

Also, I would LOVE to be able to share something else, but as a newbie the only thing I've managed to do is that Supremes set. I will post if I stumble across anything else though :) SuperSoaker, will you still be sticking around even though you won't be posting? I've not started my artwork project yet, but will be sharing it as I make each cover, so I hope you get to see them (I know they're not official... but I hope people will enjoy them!)

What Park CD's would people like uploaded in FLAC? I myself am sitting on my entire CD collection of Disney music (Parks,Films,ect) that fills two whole crates-easily over 400 CD's. All encoded in wonderful FLAC. I see many of the park albums have been posted here over the months/years but am curious to see how many people would want them in the higher quality format. I could be gearing up to start sharing shortly, but only if the interest is in FLAC - hence its everything I encoded to date.

I kinda know the feeling. I've been a long-time member of a few Disney related websites, one particular to just music (which seems to have gone strictly hidden forums if you are not in the "inner circle"). Posts and topics have dwindled dramatically over the years at that site. Anyhow, I have a feeling if people should choose to want to upgrade to a FLAC copy, I'll be helpful in that nature with hopefully something you don't have.

This Is Really Annoying.....Everyone Give Me Give Me....And No One Gives Back..... Out of Everyone 1 Person Has Offered To Help And One Person Said Thanks For the 1st 2 Collections.... Enough I Am Making This Project For Private.

I would have said "Thank You" but it's not something I collect, sorry. I feel your pain, really I do. I can't seem to get anyone to participate either in helping me when I make requests. There are only a few helping me out to fill the HQ thread, but I won't go it alone....rather let it dry up and die before I do it all alone or just with a few of us. While going through some backups of files I downloaded years ago, I came across an album called "Handbell Collection-Welcome to Fantasic World!" It's from Japan and according to the back cover, it was put out in 1992. There are 12 tracks and they are Disney songs played by bells. An un-thorough search brought up nothing. MP3s, not my rip.

DisneyChris, I just got through reading your Blog and going through the Dateline Disneyland page. I am blown away at some of the items you are about to feature - the early television ads are an incredible find, and I'm really excited about the 1980s show openings. There is so much to look forward. Thanks for doing what you do.

I do have a question: I noticed that in your Disneyland Home Entertainment section, it doesn't look like you're planning a "Walt Disney and You" segment (y'know, the little ad that used to run at the end of all the movies when they were first released on the 'white clamshell' Walt Disney Home Video series). I was wondering if there was a reason you opted not to include.

Looking extremely forward to the next few weeks as you unfurl these goodies on us.
