So far from what I read, they are coming out with a special edtion DVD but it will come out later after the PSP release. If you are really really tempted to watch the movie, then I guess PSP is the choice. But I can wait for the DVD release :D

can you connect the PSP up to your computer and watch the movies and such things on it? if so, i could easly copy the movie out of the UMD disc, and burn it to a DVD, allowing me to watch it on my teli before anyone else!

Well honestly i think the PSP is pretty neat except it drinks battery life and is so expensive. Plus only a few movies has come out on the PSP, this is why i plan to buy it in a few more months. (nice sig Kodaj)

I like the DS, but there's really only one good game for it, and you can buy it for the N64 for $5 at Gamestop. So the PSP wins me over because it has better graphics, a bigger screen, more features and functions, and better titles. Nintendo isn't dumb, though, and they're not giving up their handheld throne so easily. There's supposed to be a new Gameboy variant coming out possibly by 2005 to combat the PSP. Don't beleive me?

They've indefinitely postposed just about all of their high-profile projects (except for KHII, but there's still no solid release date on that) for some reason or another. What's going on there? Advent Children has been postponed ENOUGH. I'm tired of waiting, so I won't.

Actually, the PSP IS more powerful than the PS2, but the developers have to compensate so it doesn't suck up the batteries. If they used it's processing power to the fullest, it would drain the batteries in about an hour of play. The PS2's own processor has shrunk more than 80% (could be 90%, but I'm not sure) in size since production began in 2000. Hey, it's only a 300MHz processor. While speed isn't the only measure of a processor's power (as the cell has proved), 300MHz indicates a pretty mediocre prcessor by today's standards.. Not to mention stuff like hyperthreading technology that's come out since then, you get a helluva lot more power in smaller processors, conventional processors, now than you could then. The PS3's cell technology has nothing to do with it.

E3, for all you guys who don't know, is when Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft talk about the future of their business. It can deal with their next-generation consoles, their release of upcoming games, anything. Advent Children Release Date Confirmed!
A Advent Children release date has just been announced by Square-Enix Japan on their official Advent Children website.

Advent Children will be released on DVD on September 14, for a suggested retail price of 4800 Yen. There's also a special edition in the works, with no release date yet. No clue either as to what the special edition of the DVD may contain, we'll keep you posted.

As of now also, there's no clue where as a UMD version of the movie will be released, maybe sometime later in this fall. This proves to us that the movie will not be appearing on the silver screen as Nomura had talked about previous times.

Judging by the release's position in the early fall, this might prove speculation that a English version may not appear until late fall, maybe winter heading into 2006! We'll keep you posted on this as we always do.

Actually, games, movies, and CDs are rather expensive in Japan. I found a Samurai X soundtrack for $60 imported from Japan. I found an American version (but same thing) at Suncoast for $13. On the other hand, japanese books are CHEAP. I can buy 3 manga books over there for the price of one here. So the price will probably be dropped for us. Dun worry about it.

Anyway, as far as I'm concerned Nomura is a friggin' liar and I don't trust him anymore. There's delaying...and then there's miscalculating by a year and a half! How can you miscalculate production by a year and a half!? If he worked for me, his ass'd be fired. Or maybe he ( or the top brass) knew that it was gonna be forever but decided to announce it anyway to toy with the fans and hype it up. Frankly, I don't think that's excusable.

Still, because I am such a FF7 fan I will end up buying the movie. *grumbles*
