I hear that in hte first trailer, in the opening it's Marlene talking about FFVII and geostigma and stuff. The second one is IN ENGLISH even on the offical, Japanese website (www.sqaure-enix.co.jp/dvd/ff7ac ) so I'm not sure what you're talking about. Unless there's a third trailer I'm not aware of.

Hey, Aerisfreak91, I know you're sad about Aeris, believe me, I am sad, too. I'm a guy, but I'm really sad because of her. But I have come to realize a few things. First of all, if Aeris hadn't died, the planet could probably not be saved - Aeris knew that she was going to die and that her soul would then reach the Lifestream, and that she would then be able to use Holy and stop meteor from hitting the planet and stop Sephiroth from reaching his goal. Secondly, Aeris' death wouldn't be so meaningful if she were resurrected later in the game. The whole goal of this plot was that Aeris' death was neccessary to save the panet, but most of all, her death was meant to shock players. Indeed, her death shocked the whole world, but when Aeris died, everyone started to hate Sephiroth - and the hatred was enormous. However, if Aeris were resurrected later in the game, her death wouldn't mean anything to anyone. Let me conlude the thought - the very thing that has made FFVII the best game in the world in the eyes of all people is Aeris' death. I'm sad, to, and I could cry any moment. But her death cannot be avoided. It's true, Aeris' death is very shocking - she lost everything she had. Her mother, her father and Zack, too. She had a very sad life, and in the end, Sephiroth kills her. I agree that that's not the life she deserved, because she deserves much better. But in the end, she was happy, because she saved the world. Her death has a very strong meaning. Listen, Aerisfreak91 - you should let Aeris rest in peace and have her serenity. Leave her be, because she died to save the planet and the people of the planet. Let her have her peace and be grateful to her. Be happy for her, because she has joined her people, the Cetra, and lives in the promised land with her mother and father - she has found eternal hapiness. You should open your heart to this fact and accept it. Aeris is happy, and that's what you want, right. I know what you feel.

all i have heard on AC is that every FF7 character who should be there will be there, along with a few surprise returns. However why have they made Cloud look so ... femanine, in the game he had an agressive look about him. Also in the game Aeris comments that his eyes glow, he says its a mark of SOLDIER, yet in all the trailers ive seen his eyes just look like a normal blue...

Just thought id try and help clear up the whole Tifa / Aeris / Cloud thing

Gandalf is pretty much right at the start of the game there is little to suggest Cloud loves Tifa however during the scene where Cloud has to piece his life together ( in the Lifestream) he says that he hated his weakness and that perhaps if he could be strong like Sephiroth then perhaps Tifa would notice him.

As for Aeris, it is true that she gets him to open up more (initialy) then any other character, and it is for Aeris that Cloud decides to break into Shinra HQ, however considering Clouds resembalance to Zack he may be the rebound from Aeris's position.

This debate could go on for a while theres plenty of in game evidence to support both sides of the argument ( like at the end Cloud states i think I can meet her there, and tifa replies yeah lets go meet her)

As for the colour of Clouds Uniform it looks purple in game, but i think thats just cos the messed up the RGB values abit ( if you look at the FMVs Clouds Uniform is Dark Blue, not purple).

Personally on the Tifa/Aeris thing, if I were Cloud i would have gone for Tifa anyday *drool*

I agree, TMA, Square make fantastic games but the FF Film (TSW) didn't live up to expectations so its possible that Square-Enix will mess up FF:AC as well. At least this time around the characters have been defined, so we should be into the interesting stuff quite quickly and there are plenty of avenues the film could go down. We shall just have to wait and see

I liked Spirits Within. I didn't go see the movie for the story, though, I went to see it for the pretty graphics. That's the whole reason why the movie was created, right? To show off Square's artistic skills. They're pretty good at making things looks awesome.

the Problem I had with it was how close some of the Characters were to the FF7 and 8 cast ( in appearance).

Also there were scenes that looked to have come straight from FF7 ( the Meteor cave at the end and the pool (or was it a river) of Lifestream.

but dont get me wrong, i didn't hate the film,( i quite enjoyed it and want to buy it when i can get the money) it just felt like it was missing something.

I don't think Cloud would die. Honestly, if the theme is "survival", then how much sense would that make? None at all. They had Aerith die in FF7 because the theme was life, and she symbolised that life. So to have Cloud die, just for the Cloriths sick needs, would be cheesy and cliche'. He has to have a reasen to die, not like, "Omfg I wanna see them together in heaven!1111"

I don't think only Ancients can go there. Cloud was able to go to the lifestream....why not reaching the Promised Land. Nobody really knows if this one exists anyway.

As far as has been revealed so far, the origin of kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo is a mystery (unless I forgot something), but it is known that Rufus wants to hire Cloud to take them out, and that Rufus was not mauled, but in fact is in an advanced stage of geostigma, although the attack from Diamond weapon probably helped. Cloud and Tifa run a dilivery business, Barret went to Corel to find an alternate energy source. And the Silver Haired men want to reunited Jenova in the hopes that it will rid the world of geostigma. Though from a few screenshots (and a big story spoiler from the Venice film festival) this appears to resurrect Sephiroth instead, which is awesome.

Did anyone see the new TGS trailer on the official site? It's pretty badass. The voices for all the characters is great (except maybe that Rufus' voice is a tad too deep, and Sephiroth doesn't quite sound evil enough), but the best voice is Vincent's. It's dead-on. It's perfect. They shouldn't change it in any language. They should just have subtitle whenever he talks. Unless the VA can learn to speak in any language it gets translated to. Also, the fight on motorcycles between Cloud, Loz, and Yazoo is among the most awesome things you will ever see. Unless the sun goes supernova. Or the Covenant invades. Othwise, it'll be up there on your "most awesome things seen" list.

I've heard he says "I... I won't be just a memory...". I read a SPOILER ZONE on the web, and he says at the end of the Venice Film Festival Trailer (which lasted for 25 minutes). So there.

I saw that AC trailer again last night... the one in japenese... and I gotta say, it's still one of the coolest things I've seen. =) It's unusual to see some one look at a product( be it book, legend, prior movie, or even a video game) and create a movie that could, and I say could, be better than the origianal. Once again, thumbs up to the brains behind this up-and-coming hit!!! =)

I saw a 4 minute long Japanese trailer filmed by a tourist.

this one was an official trailer from squares japanese site. It was like 4' 38'' or something like that. By the way anyone know the latest "projected" date of release in america, or if it even still is?

Holy shit, i dont no if this was posted sumwhere else, but they got a third trailer on the official advent children website (in japanese) and *SPOILERS* it seemed to have barret shooting of a sort of gatlen gun and red 13 and yuffie, cid, and cloud attacking what seemed to look like a WEAPON or possibly bahamut (only cuz it sorta looks like the ff10 version of bahamut, its prolly a weapon) but yeah i dont remember where the websites link is, but if its posted, go check out the third trailer, there is more of zack, yuffie, vincent, and monster seens, and u can c more of the wheelchair dude, i think its rufus, cuz u can c a white collar on his neck, dont rufus got a white collar, i sure no sephy dont!

I know this isn't really pertinent but i tried it earlier and I'm one of those people where if it doesn't work I have to try to find out why and fix it. And by the way... this is probaly the longest post I'm going to have for a very, VERY long time.

yeah it looks like bahamut, but if square is gunna be acurate about the game/verses the movie, then it looks like nothing compared to bahamut in that game, so i think its a weapon, but idk, and he wuznt riding it, he wuz attackin it with what seemed to look like a limit break, and the weapon/summon wuz attackin him, so i dont think its bahamut, but idk, another mystery for ff7 ac

I speak a little bit of Japanese so, I was able to catch a few pieces of dialouge in the trailer. I might've gotten more, but I live in a noisy house where no one will shut up long enough for me to hear it.. That is Sephiroth's voice at the end. He says, "I will not be just a memory." In the flash of Zack we see, he is saying something about a friend...most likely he is asking Cloud to be his friend. And Kadaj keeps referring to his mother...Jenova. He seems to be preaching to the children that "mother" can cure geostigma (well, it should be obvious even if you can't speak Japanese that he's preaching something). I was able to find some general info on some of the dialouge. It seems that Cloud doesn't have a clue as to what's going on and Vincent is just filling him in. Rufus is just telling Cloud about Kadaj and that he wants Cloud to kill him. That's all I've got right now.

I know it's a cool preview and all, but... WHEN... IS... IT...COMING... TO... AMERICA?!?!?!?!?! It's just been nagging me for a while cuz I've had bad experiences with japanese movies I want to see not comeing over here. BTW... I would like just a little feed back on the pics. I need someone I don't know to give me their honest opinion. All I have is my family to rate my work and you know how they just tell you what you want to hear.

It's a game, where the main character is Vincent, and a weirdo group called Dirge of Cerberus (hence the title) is killing everyone or something. Apparently out in (surprise surprise) 2005 in Japan, and out later in everywhere else. It's in the ACTION ADVENTURE genre, with shooting and that.

Personally, I totally think Cloud is gonna die. He'll probably end a battle with Sephiroth in a stalemate (clues seem to point to Sephiroth's return- an awesome screen of him in the middle of a swordfight was on adventchildren.net some time ago). But, if he doesn't die, I think that Aerith'll kick him in the pants during a vision and tell him to get together with Tifa. Unless there's something that brings Aerith back to life, but that would be stupid..(sorry, Aerith fanboys/girls. She's dead and done).

Oh and by the way, seph is most likely just in flash backs, the three guys you see are Kadaj, Loz, & Yazoo (although you don't see much of Yazoo in the trailers). Kadaj is the seph clone that's preaching to the kids. Loz is the one that has the short high-n-tight haircut (seen on the bike attacking Cloud). Yazoo, well Yazoo has the same hair-style as Kadaj with a slightly wierder yet more conservative air about him . As for seph himself, well that remains to be seen. These are all conjectures made from the trailers so if I'm wrong don't bite my head off. (some people are so B**CHY lately).

Azthroth, in the trailer at Jump Festa (which some fools couldn't be bothered to film apparently) showed Sephiroth swooping down to attack Cloud, obviously after the Bahamust scene. Explained in detail... Note: This is what a person writing an account of the Venice Film Festival stated.
Cloud stood up on his two swords, steadying himself against a falling building. He leapt upwards, slicing through rocks and debris like butter. Then, he heard the voice.

I like it, but yah, killing off most of the cast turns a lot of people off.

I didn't like that movie cause it wasn't good. The plot was very vague and confusing for all the veiwers. SOme of the people who played RPGs before may have had an idea but the general audience doesn't know that kind of stuff.

You're absolutely right. I hope they make advent children so that if you havn't played ff7 you have no idea what's going on. That kinda makes it special to the ff community. Anybody could've watched The Spirits Within and not be able to appreciate that Cid seems to be in almost every final fantasy made...(what's up with that?) At least the movie made sense to us..

I've already seen the movie! HA! It was only a little bit better than the game...so if you liked the game, then you'll really like the movie, if you didn't really like the game(like me)then it still sucked, anyway I had to watch it cause there was nothing else to do and my co workers wanted to see it, so we went and saw the movie and I was the only one who only liked it cause the graphics were very fluid...and the music was pretty good too...

I mean, Cloud would not put himself in the same room with Sephiroth and not fight. But that's only my thought.

I know its Rufus! I saw his chin in one of the screens and the sleeve of his jacket/shirt and its white. the dude doesn't look like Sephiroth, he looks like Rufus.

A question... When will advent children be released in the philippines? Will it be in theaters or only in DVD?

I heard that its not going to be in theaters only on DVD. If it is on DVD, will they only be selling it on the internet? Or will i be able to find it in a physical store? Probably nowhere near my house i live in teh middle of nowhere.

Yes, that is THE Sephiroth. It was in the Venice Film Festival trailer and he appears before Cloud at the end of the movie, although Cloud has hallucinations of him at various points in the movie, as seen in another trailer ( I have not been able find this trailer online, though I have seen it on a DVD my friend burned for me. It really does exist). It is unknown what the end of the movie is (of course) except that Sephiroth comes back by somehow manipulating Kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo and using Jenova's head (which is what is in the box that Kadaj is holding, then screaming over in the new official trailer. Kinda strange to call a head in a box your mom. Even stranger when the head isn't there.), then fighting a no doubt exhausted Cloud. Yeah, I think that Cloud can vanquish Sephiroth once again, but this time, he might die in doing so.
I'm not making this up. I swear it's ALL true. Except of course for the last sentence in that paragraph. That was just my own humble opinion.
