I wouldn't think that would happen. If Aerith is in heaven, she wouldn't be jealous. If Cloud and Tifa did get together, Aerith would watch over them from above. Plus, she's got her boyfriend Zack up in heaven with her! So thus Zack and Aerith are meant to be and Cloud and Tifa are meant to be! Please, don't get mad at me Cloud and Aerith fans; the two couples listed above; Aerith and Zack were a couple for 6 years and Cloud and Tifa grew up together, so I think Cloud and Aerith will never be, if she's dead and Zacks dead, they have eachother up in heaven and knew eachother in the beggining. Just like Cloud and Tifa, they new eachother in the beggining and are alive together in the end. I think in the movie Cloud and Tifa should get together and could still remember their friend Aerith, but should not let her burn their hearts. But anyway, if Aerith's got Zack in heaven with her, she wouldn't ever be jealous of Cloud and Tifa being together. At least that's what I believe.

Haha.. it looks like you have been confused by the weird lifestream explanation of Cloud's past.

*SPOILER.. I guess (You know, just in case)*

Cloud grew up in Nibelheim, same as Tifa. He was a loner, and Tifa was a popular girl (who Cloud secretly liked).

The memories from Zack come from the Jenova treatments, where Cloud was very ill from the treatments, and when they two were going to Midgar to become mercenaries.
Cloud, though, in his delerium, got things mixed up, between the life Zack had in soldier that Cloud had wanted in order to prove himself, and his actual like in Nibelheim and as a normal soldier.

Towards the end of FF7, when Tifa and Cloud both fall into the lifestream, she helps Cloud to reorient himself about his past.

All that other hoo-hah about Cloud's memories being fake was just Sephiroth messing with his mind. I actually think Sephiroth was scared of Cloud, because it was Cloud who stopped Sephiroth's initial rampage in the Mount Nibel reactor, "killing" him with the Buster Sword and knocking him into the lifestream.

Cloud can lift the buster sword because...testostrone levels are flowing through his body like crazy due to being lonley and depressed his whole life when all he wanted to be was a love crazy lord of the dance. I dunno. Or maybe it's the jenova cells.

Zack_Strife77, that's not true. Remember when they were in the lifestream together, they found out they really did know eachother. Shinra told them Cloud was a clone, but what did Shinra do and always have and always will do? Lie! Shinra lies to all the citizens. Shinra lied to Cloud about him being a clone to provoke him. listen im sry i forgot about a couple things myself ok im sry ppl for upsetting some of u i also worded it wrong in the first place i ment some of his memories where confused i figured out what i wrote and went to fix it but couldnt so yeah anyway i am set streight i forgot about some of the things ppl have been known to do that but i remember now atleast my theory on aeris was better then the past statement about memories. and what i meant where his memories of going there when he was older not as a kid. i wasnt thinking streight .i know ff7 if u played how could u forget but i did so sry i apologize. i wish Zack was a bigger role in ff7 they should have made a game about him bein in soldier but thats just my opinion it would have been kool

About the clone thing, apparently he has a tatoo on his arm with a number. Remember when he was the one who made it into soldier? Well all of the soldiers in Shinra are clones and artificialy made. That's what it said in Cloud's past. Maybee Zack's parents adopted him or something. I dunno, the story is very confusing.

about the zack argument u all were having a page back i heard somewhere that the japanese version of FFVII has more of him to see. Also it is him Aeris asks you to help wen u go to her house for the first time. That's right Zack's in the pipe... alive!!! In the japanese version u give him some kind of potion that helps him and he goes off on a journey, later Cloud figures out who he is and this also has sumthin 2 do with ressurecting aeris which was left out in the American version because of a production deadline. I read this a few months ago so sum info may be a little off.
And i don't remember who sed it but, i don't think Zack's in the wheelchair in AC wouldn't the clones want him dead. He did afterall try to stop Sephiroth which is wen Tifa gets stabbed and cloud runs in and Zack's already been knocked out and in his last awake words he tells Cloud to stop sephiroth which Cloud does quite well. Or Zack may be in the wheelchair and the clones are using him to bait Cloud.

Why wont people just leave Aeris dead? Sephiroth killed her and quite well I might add. He gave her new meaning to being penetra........uh well you know. AHHAAHHAHAHAHA. Also, as far as the bringing her back thing, that was just a rumor I do believe, because it spread around like wild fire a few years back and then died down. Cus I mean why would she still be dead in the movie if the japanese had orginally planned her ressurection? It would throw the whole movie off by a major plot twist, and dont say well it was optional to bring her back. The fact that Vincent aparently has a key role in advent children shows that they are focusing on optional things as well(since vincent was an optional character). Oh well, just me speaking.....................

But some of us Aerith fans still don't understand why they couldn't give her a phoenix down after she died. Duh, a phoenix down! If it's so simple, it's kind of hard to accept the fact that she's dead when there's a fact you can use a phoenix down.

According to the game, when someone falls in combat, they're considered knocked out, not actually dead. Phoenix Downs bring people back from that state, not back from the dead.

There is a loophole there in the form of the Death effects, though. I don't know how Square could explain that one away.

Even if you cannot understand the logic, after seven years, you could at least have accepted it. And besides, this PhoenixDown thing is not really the best of complaints... I mean, it's not as if Aeris's death was the first character death in video gaming ever. T_T

So..it WAS Zak in the tunnel? It sounds logical enough, except for the fact that SquareSoft poured millions of dollars into Final Fantasy VII, and there were EXTRAS in the American version, so leaving something out of a multimillion dollar project just doesn't make sense.

Where are you getting this information from?

It doesn't make alot of sense to me for them to have something out if it was in the Japanese version. Going from the Jap. to the Eng. version would just be alot of translations, alot with the extra things they added such as Emerald and Ruby Weapon.
So, if Aeris was actually able to be revived in the Japanese version, why would they take it out in the English version? Square wasn't the kind of company to screw over its consumers I don't think =/

I have heard, though, that a small part of the original Japanese version was removed to accomodate the release date [around 10% I think (Which included Ruby and Emerald Weapons, I'm pretty sure)], so it's possible that the revival of Aeris is part of what was removed, but then I still think that in the International version, reviving Aeris would have been a higher priority in re-adding to the game than Ruby and Emerald Weapons.

Let me explain our attachment to her. I'm going to quote manga for this (it's not exact, so if you know which manga I'm quoting from, I know it's not word-for-word, but it's the same message), but it makes a lot of sense...

I think that the death of Aeris is good because most people want to beat Sephiroth so much at that point. And I think its cool cause its such a strange plot twist and I would never have seen it coming!!!

well, if aeris was sumhow brought back to life in the game or in the end of it or wutever, it would pretty much ruin the the plot, and the point of her dyin in the first place..

I don't know. I think the story would be a happy one if she was brought back. In AC the memory of Aerith burns inside Tifa and Cloud. That's a sad one, and I think if Aerith was brought back the plot would be a happier one.

i agree with tifagirl. it be nicer to have a happy ending like that. and i don't care if your an aeris hater...but for the true characters tifa and cloud...well i think that they'd be very happy to see their best friend back. aeris is pretty much the real reason tifa and cloud are still in for the fight. they're doing it for aeris and of course all the kids. so it probably wouldn't ruin the the plot, it'd probably make it more celebrated

I'm not an Aerith hater. I love Aerith! I'm an Aerith lover. I like her because she's good friends with Tifa. If I really care about Tifa, I need to care about Aerith. That's not the only reason; believe it or not, but Aerith was gonna be my favorite charcacter, until I saw Tifa's character design; I thought Tifa was just slightly better because her style of clothing is more similar to mine. Even in AC. I still love Aerith.

actually, her name is aerith. If you have ever done the save anywhere thing, and caught the bug you will know what I mean. For those of you who haven't, you should try it. You will need a gameshark. Put in the code 8009D2A6 0000 (save anywhere) and start a new game. (I'm not sure if going from a saved game will work, because in my past experience, it only likes when you start a saved game). Anyway, go until you start playing with Aeri(s/th). It's been a while since I've done this... but I think you go until it zooms up on you and her near her garden. Save. (you might have to go until I think it's reno comes along). Anyway after you have "Aeris" in your party when you save, reset. Once you reset the game, her name will be Aerith. This shows that maybe it was supposed to be Aerith, but for some reason the last minute change was to make her name Aeris.

The official Japanese name was Aerith, the original English (and as far as I know not just English, but also in other languages) name was and is Aeris. Her name is Aeris just as much as Amarant is Amarant, Sabin is Sabin and Schala is Schala.

Still, bringing her back to life would ruin the story. The game is a repersentation of life how it is. In this thing called life, tragic things happen, and no matter how much you want it, they cant be reveresed. In the game, Aeris dies for what she believes, this makes her a wonderful person, bringing her back would cheapen that. So for the game to be true to life, it must have its tragic elements and not be some "happy" story. Actually, I felt alot of hidden painful and dark undertones when I played through it; i.e. Sephiroths past, him being "grown", Clouds sad past, the deaths of the people in Midgar at various diffrent points, Vincents life as a whole, the extinction of the Cetra, so and so forth. Yeah the game has its happy moments and is full of comic relief, but I really think that Square was making a very serious game with serious themes. Stop and think about them and see past the fact that it is a game.

wut if sephiroth is in the wheelchair, decrepid and declining in health because of failing his mission to become a god. Maybe the three are keeping him around as a reminder of what failure looks like and also taunting him because they believe they will succeed where he could not. And first they will pick off Cloud and company then every1 else. Maybe sum how sephiroth and cloud will become 1 super being to save the world. wen u look at this picture it kinda makes u think sumthin like that.

i didn't say work together i said become 1 which means they wouldn't be working together they would be one person. and it might be wierd but also cool could u imagine something like Omnislash combined with Super Nova. it would be called Universal Blade and this blade shall save the world. 'sides Cloud's AC clothes remind me of Sephiroth's coat so maybe he is acknowledging that he and Sephiroth are more similar than we thought.

never have i been so impressed by a final fantasy game but WOW!! this looks amazing!! are those 3 in the trailor the turks or whats going on and is that sephiroth under the cloak!! i want more, MORE!! i do wish though that clouds hair was bigger, original is best!! tifa looked rocking and the magic looks awesome too!! those 3 are so evil and i love it!! so who agrees?? will it be out over here in europe?? my god it better, but then the trailor was in english so it must be...right???

they are Kadaj ,yazoo, and loz. i think they are sephy clones but no one relly knows. you could read this whole thread and find out, theres alot on thi ssubject.

I don't know any release dates for U.S.A. or anywhere else, but I heard that somewheres around Sep. is when it comes out in Japan. Dunno if that's right, though, I just heard it somewheres.
