ok im going to post my theories

ok the "clones" seem to be designed to battle each person, one with a sword (for cloud) one melee (for Tifa) and one with guns (handle either vincent or Barret)
and it seem that Vincent is in lucricias cave (vincents love)

I believe that the cloaked man is Hojo, or that maybe Sephiroth is still doing his mental projections, and projects a cloacked figure to guide the "clones", or that the "clones" are mental projections themselves
but if you notice that when one of them does an attack that they have 1 wing like sephiroths final form...
but i really doubt that one of the "clones" is sephiroth cause if you look at Sep. going through the flames he doesnt look like any of the others, i mean he does but only a resemblence

im not sure on the names of the "clones" yet
if someone could clear them up for me

Yeah, that picture's in FFShrine's AC Picture database, under the "fake" section. I'm pretty sure it was proved to be fake. I read somewhere awhile ago that people figured out that the picture is just another girl from one of the more recent FF's, edited to look like her.

Yeah I totally agree with you there! I like Cloud and Tifa better than Cloud and Aerith. They've known eachother longer and I wish Clorith fans could understand that that's enough reason to love someone.

I think they may put it out in theatres in Japan and put it out on VHS and DVD in America. They do that alot in Anime films.

Master Nabeshin, Aerith's boobs don't look bigger than Tifa's to me, because I saw some sideviews of Tifa in motion when she's fighting what's his his name, Tifa's boob's still look bigger to me. Aerith's boobs are still big in that picture, I'd say maybe one size lower than Tifa's. It is the black hiding it because black tends to make me look skinnier. That's what is really is.

I know who you're talking about, but I've never heard that theory before... it certainly is interesting, though. I guess we'll just have to wait and see! As far as i know, the only official picture of Aeris released was in that magazine scan that only showed her boobs and chin. It was a good picture, but I still hope they show her face.

I think the man behind Aeris is Cloud. If you look closely, you will notice Cloud's vest and shoulder armor, and the loose sleeve he wears on his left arm. Also, it cannot be any of the Sephiroth siblings because their hair would either completely cover their neck, or not at all. Cloud's hair kinda hangs down like that to the side. Plus, his blonde hair would be lighter due to the bright light passing through it. So that is why I think it is Cloud behind Aeris. Now, what does it mean? I have no idea, but I can come up with some interesting theories... later, though.

Ok so if it was him, they could see his face you know. He is there sitting on the ground!!! And that cloud would not recognize him I can live with that (knowing that Cloud is still a bit drowsy of his experiences just like Zack) but Aeris would definitly see it is him!!

Personally, I think that this is a great possibility. It could also be a sequel to a game that will take place between FFVII and AC. But, I guess that wouldn't make too much sense, seeing as how everyone already knows what the outcome would be. just a question.. how many exact trailer clips are out so far? i've got 3 so far.? is there more?

well the three i seen is the 2 on the official site, and the third one i downloaded sumwhere i forgot, starts off in midgar, and den theres a flash of barret and his new arm, and den vincent flying from da trees into the screen, and den cloud is fighting the silver hair dude, and gets his sword knocked out of his hand, and they he pulls out another sword from i dunno where he is hiding it and basically ended the same as the other trailers.. except this trailer was a lil more detailed in the fightin, thus each scene was a lil longer.. the version i got is pretty damn detailed, the clip is 1min and 57 secs. and is about 47 mb, well i guess the quality is to blame for the 47mb, cause its like almost dvd quality.

I have seen a lot of speculation on who the man in the wheelchair is, and many people have said that it may be Zack. However, in Final Fantasy VII there is a scene that clearly shows Zack being killed, and how Cloud got his SOLDIER uniform and Zack's Buster Sword. Now, prior to about a week ago, I didn't even know this scene existed, and I don't think a lot of people know about it, but trust me, it's there. Sometime during disc three, go back to the Nibelheim and go into the laboratory basement in the mansion. Make sure you go to the place where Sephiroth was reading all the journals. A flashback will come up, showing Cloud and Zack floating in these tubes, and them escaping at feeding time. Zack is unaffected by the experiments, (You know this because after the scene is over, explore the library to find documents showing the subjects reaction to Mako therapy and injection of Jenova cells), but Cloud is heavily affected, sort of like what happened to him when he fell into the Lifestream. Zack retrieves his Buster Sword and changes Cloud's uniform from his Shinra uniform to a SOLDIER one. They then hitch a ride to Midgar with an old man. Along the way, Zack tells him about what happened in the Mako reacter, (this really isn't said, but it fits with the timeline and explains how Cloud got Zack's memories), and decides that both him and Cloud should become mercenaries. At this time, Cloud is still pretty out of it, which would explain his confusion with what happened in Nibelheim and why he decided to become a mercenary. Anyways, for some reason the old man doesn't take them all the way to Midgar, and Zack has to walk the rest of the way, half-carrying Cloud. Unfortunatly, the Shinra catches up with them, and Zack leaves for a moment to fight them, when he comes back to check on Cloud, he gets shot and flies back. Shinra soldiers then walk up to him and empty about two clips of bullets into him. When they come to Cloud, they decide to just leave him to die instead of wasting the bullets, and just walks away. Cloud then crawls towards Zack's dead body, takes his Buster Sword, and lifts it into the air, when Midgar is seen in the backroud.So you see, Zack is definately dead, and cannot be the person in the wheelchair.

If you want to know where I got this information to see this scene myself, go to the Final Fantasy VII FAQ page on Gamefaqs and read the plot analysis FAQ written by an author called falsehead. This FAQ is brilliant, offering a detailed timeline of the game and answering my questions. It also has some name analysis if you're interseted. Wow, that took a long time. Well, hope this offered some insight for you, and trust me, the scene is there.

Yeah, I have seen that scene before. It just basically shows how Cloud and Zack met, and how Cloud came to be in Midgar. But, if I remember correctly, does the Shinra leave Zack's body there, or do they take it?

They leave his body there. That's how Cloud was able to get the Buster Sword.

I would think that he is dead, but maybe in Avent Children, they'll find a way to prove that he was alive....hmmmm...

If Zack had a reaction to the Jenova cells, then maybe I would think he might have survived, but since he didn't (At least according to the books in the basement) I don't really expect someone with just mako to be able to survive being shot so many times =X

Well, during the end of the E3 Trailer, I think you will understand. During the flashback of Cloud lowering Aeris into the water, Cloud says "I...I want to be forgiven...Yeah...I want to be forgiven".
I think Cloud wants to be forgiven for not trying to save Aeris. Even if he couldn't have saved her, then he probably feels guilty for her dying. He may think that it is his fault, and he wants to be forgiven for that.

whaddya mean? i can't tell who it is just from looking at him! if it were that easy, we wouldn't be having discussion about who it is, right? we ourselves could look at whoever it is and would be able to say who it is!! plus in one of those reports you find somewhere in the game you find out that subject number 2 is being rowdy and is trying to break free every once in a while, and Cloud was completely fucked up and would be in no condition to be a hastle! so Zack must be subject number 2! makes sense, right??? you know i'm right.

No, there will not be any voice acting, all the characters will be doing interperetive dances. And Zak is DEAD DEAD DEAD. He is the opposite of alive. No one can survive getting two clips of machine gun fire pumped into their chest from point blank range. Not in the FFVII universe, anyway (except for the man himself, Sephiroth). So, yeah, Zak's dead. His body was prolly robbed any torn apart by wolves and such. So, even if by some miracle he had survived being shot, something else would've gotten him before he reached Midgar. Besides, I think Square showed him getting two clips in the chest to make the point that he was dead. Sorry, Zak fans.

Oh, by the way, yes there will be voice acting, and the actors from Kingdom Hearts will be returning (hopefully only the Japanese version. I kinda liked the english Cloud, but thee is no way in hell that I want lance Bass to be involved in any way with this movie.) At least that's the last I heard.

Interestin pictures! I still think Cloud looks 10 times cuter than Shu-yin in the movie! He looks more like Jessie Camp than Shu-yin.

Shu-yin was a wimp. I think that there should be a fight between Cloud and Shu-Yin, just so Cloud can kick his ass.

Just wow. In the first picture we can see a better shot of Reno with his headset (from the last picture I posted.) I think that might be Denzel he's reaching out to, judging from the "hair" (could be anything).
Also we see a great side-shot of Reno and Rude.
And what I found most interesting, are the pictures of Reno and Rude fighting with Yazoo and Loz, respectively.


Next picture: You can see a biiig shot of Tifa in front of a stained glass window in the church. Also, we see Tifa and cloud talking in their phones. **Another thing I just noticed: Tifa has a string around her left arm. It looks alot like one of Aeris' ribbons that she used in her hair**

And the best part of the pictures: We see Cloud and Aeris standing in a field of flowers (Dream, probably) and also pictures of Red XIII and Cid!
It looks like Red is in front of a Mako reactor or maybe Midgar. It looks like Cid is in the orphanage, from the kids in the background.

Wow, those are some outstanding pics man! Finally, we have something new and exciting to talk about. Does that picture of Cloud and Aeris further strengthen your view that you think she will be ressurected?

I don't think aeris will be ressurected.i think the flower field pic is just a flashback.and about the ribbon on tifa's arm, i bet she took it when aeris died(cuz when they put her in the water her hair flew out)and then ties on her arm to remember her or something.their phones look cool!i like how reno rude RedXIII and Cid are making appearances too.i wonder if cloud and the trks join forces, because the turks are fighting the sephiroth clones...

PhiLLyBoy and Kirgar, those are awsome pictures! PhiLLyBoys picture is the best one of Cloud yet! And those are the best pictures of Reno Kirgar! The Ribbon on Tifa's arm, looks like its Aerith's and that shows they're were friends! Looks like Cid and Red XIII are in the movie!

Yeah, these new pictures really do spike my interest even higher. It looks like that Cloud is going to team up with Reno and Rude. If not that, then at least not be enemies.

I'm a few months late (this being from the start of the thread) but Fenir is the pet of the gods, made by the ice titans, that is so fierce that only one god can feed him, altough i forget which and is going to eat Thor at the ragnorak (end of the world)

Holy crap! Yessss! Cid is in the movie! Red XIII has gotten me excited as well, but not as much as Cid or Aeris' chin. Yes, I know that sounds strange, but it's true. Anyway, I think the idea that Tifa took Aeris' hairband is very possible. I find it strange that Reno and Rude are battling Loz and Yazu, since I heard that Reno and Rude were working for them. I thought it sounded fishy in the first place, but it seemed to come from a reliable source (I wish I remember what it was, though).

I think Yuffie will be in it, if only for a short time. it seems so far as though Cloud, Tifa, and Vincent are the three main players from the original playable team in the movie, so they'll probably get a good deal more screen time than all the others.

You know what would be interesting? If Aeris was indeed revived in the movie by means of the water that she was laid to rest in. Theoretically, the water could not really be water, but rather, a type of liquid materia created by the ancients that has revival properties, but works very slowly, and Aeris had just awoken. I know that this is probably (99.99999% probability) 100% inaccurate, but it's been a while since I theorized, and if you look in the picture of the first scan (on page 31) closely, you'll notice that it looks as though Aeris is standing behind Cloud, and Cloud appears to be in his Advent Children costume. So, maybe there is something to this, but it is still most likely that Aeris will appear in flashbacks, or perhaps Cloud is expiriencing hallucinations of her.

Yeah, that is true. But it is also true that they never said that Cait Sith wouldn't be brought back.

There were a lot of sub-characters that were designed, so perhaps Nomura is refferring to all of the playable characters.

Yes, that is Tifa. Somewhere on that page, it tells you that. And she was wearing a white top in the game, but for the movie, she is wearing the black shirt.

In the 1st high-res picture, if you look closely you can see that Cid is wearing a ribbon, just like Tifa's.

Also, in the second scan, in the picture with Reno, Rude and Cloud, behind Reno is a little cartoony picture of Cloud. So with that, it looks like they're in the orphanage in that picture

Perhaps everyone has them, but we just haven't seen most of them yet. Perhaps they made it their group's signature, but since Cloud does not have one, he may have drifted away from the group. That would make sense, seeing as how Cloud is a lone wolf.

Conspiracy? All I meant was that it might be their signature because the memory of Aeris' death is so painful and powerful to all of them, and them alone. I also implied that maybe Cloud doesn't have one because of his "lone wolf" nature, has separated himself from everyone. It's already been confirmed that Cloud and Tifa has grown apart, so I think it may be possible that this element has occured on a larger scale.

I see. People always did where pink ribbons whenver someone died when I was in middle school. But I think the pink ribbons did mean something, and if you think it meant Aerith's death(I think so too because it makes sense), it's still something.

oops sorry to reply so late but you can find the FF:7: AC poster at www.houseofanime.com it comes as a wall scroll or lamenated poster.

Althought in ff7 it does show Zack being shot and killed it may not be so far off to think that it could possibly be him. Althought the guns shots seemed to kill him but maybe he wasnt dead after all. He might have been found by the Yazoo and the others and is in the chair because heis paralized from shots hitting his spine. this could make sense and not only that but since Zack has a big role in the character developement of cloud in the game then maybe they would put him at heart of the three men although they battle maybe Zack sent them to find cloud and they feel he isnt worth it and feels they dont want to be bested by him. alternative theory though is that it is sephiroth. and the three men are his clones that he somehow created. since sephiroth was so power hungrey and bent on distroying things maybe once he was injured enough he created the clones of himself to finish his business hence the fighting of the rude,reno,tifa,and cloud against the yazoo and his gang but this is only an idea.

Afighting game now thats wut im tlakin bout. (sry corny pun) well any way like soul caliber you collect weapons form battle and certain games. althought it will b weapon basde you can also fight with your hands. the arenas will be like doa if anyone played it. it would also boot an amazing cast of fighters including the turks the trio and the main cast. unfortunatly there isnt any notion in makeing one but it would be awsome wut do u guys think

I heard that Cait Sith, Red XII, Hojo, The Summons, and Additional Characters are going to be in the game for the PSP and PS2. But why are they not in the movie?

There should be a game for a prequal and the sequal will be for the movie, but it hasn't been said if they were gonna make the sequal for PS2.

No problem! The prequal is gonna be about 6 years before the events in FFVII, and the main characters are gonna be the Turks.

OMG in the top right corner of a screen with the white cape is a picture and the picture outline is a shinra logo (compared to Shinra ac offcial website) which means it can't be sephiroth (sorry guy)why would he put a picture of shinra up so it quite possible to be rufus he looks injured and he's using sephiroth clones (also if sephroth clones are in it then HOJO or GAST must be there to do it which would explian vincents appearence could the cloaked guy be them )

Yeah, that is the first time I have noticed the logo in the corner. But that doesn't mean that it <I> can't </I> be Sephiroth. That logo could be there for just about any reason.

i don't think it's sephiroth but i do think sephroth will be in it but working alone not with clones

A few things that I'm suprises no one has noticed. First of all, in the English trailer do you see when one of the children (we aren't sure that they are clones) is yelling at all the kids. Well, take a look at the backdrop, look familiar? O_o And second, in the new magazine scan where it shows Tifa and Cloud talking on phones what do you think those could be........new mobile phones to play BF? No. Try PHS. And do you notice that in the first and second shots of the city you can see the sky? Isn't that weird considering that Midgar had the huge plate above everything so it was always dark. Another thing, in the first trailers when it shows the hooded man it is in a nice looking room with a bed and wood floor etc. (Maybe the Kalm inn?) but in the English one they are in some half built/destroyed building. Another thing about the hooded person, if you look really closely on the close up there is an open spot in his cloth except that it is still white under. If I remember correctly Hojo wore a white suit didn't he? And this is a long shot but it shows one of the children focusing power to his hand and shooting something into the skies.........summoning Meteor again? Well, just some stuff to think about.

i say if aerith was to be revived in ac it would sumhow ruin the ff7 theme. cause the ff7 theme has aerith death sumhow tied in it and it has contributed to the greatness of the game,

another thing, if they were to revive aerith, i think the concept would take to long and they'd have to make the movie a lil longer, considering that they just cant simply revive her with a phoenix down, but they would probably have to take awhile to input the process of how she was revived, and that would take to much time from the story of the star scar syndrome and the 3 white hair kids. dont u think?

Ok first where it may end:
if you notice that the logo for AC is not meator it Midgar, so Midgar is a main part of the story.

Secondly: the part where he put the Buster Sword in the ground he says "i've decided to live because of you" . when looking more closely isn't that where Zack Died (maybe he's talking about him)

Thirdly the SSS: ok not many know the reason for this, but i was thinking that because of the ff Movie (though bad) it was ment to be based on ff7 story and you can see that in parts life stream ect. well the asteriod was another llife force if you replace the asteriod with jenova maybe her death has tanent the life stream and the pleople effected are trying to reunite jenova.

Fourthly: Did seiphroth Really lose. Think about it, he was trying to become god by being at the center of the injury, well wouldn't he really be at midgar not the crator, then maybe he controlled cloud to get him to kill him, so that he could enter the life stream then travel via that big orb of energy that enhanced meator then the life stream stoped it and sephiroth. But then i tought hang on he only needed a hugh amount of energy to gain in one place to fuse with him maybe the energy from the life stream that stoped meator could be anothe (this is a good idea for the acual story cause sephiroth isn't just coming back to life he's becoming a god and cloud has to stop him before somthing else happens)

Fivly : VINCENT is being made more important than others like tifa and barret why he must have something to do with the story unforanatly he could be there for HOJO or SEPHIROTH. vincent was a werid carater in 7 cause he had completely different reasons fo killing sephiroth so i guess his story and clouds must be linked in someway.

Lastly ; metor resummoned umm i can't stop thinking that they may use childrens life force to summon meator or even the GOD seiphroth or sephroth is controlling them to put the tainet Jenova souls together to make jenova.

Well, they left alot of things unfinished sort of for Vincent. With Lucrecia and Vincent's realization that he shouldn't have tormented himself with the nightmares, but rather it was Hojo who should have slept.

With those loose ends, it leaves alot to be finished up Vincent-wise, so it makes sense that they might try to do something in this sequel.


And Barret is doing something pretty important, the thing is is that what he's doing, (looking for a replacement for Mako) doesn't really have much to do with the main conflict of the SHM and Geostigma. I'm sure he'll have a bit of screentime, though (from him being listed as one of the characters on the official site), but probably just by phone.

I was looking at that animated vid with Cloud fighting the Sephy 'clone', does his spare sword slide out his sleeve?! oh and I have an Aeris theory.

at the end of FF VII, you see Aeris look up with lifestream sparkles around her, could Aeris be in AC as a Lifestream construct, sent to guide the others to stop the wheelchair guy from doing something like re-assembling Jenova, or maybe Seph did become a god...or was the One Winged Angel his god form and the lifestream stole his power and left him crippled?

The spare sword comes from the magical void-inventory that exists in almost all games. I have no other idea how to explain how he fit a sword that big with him while still being able to move around.

As for the ending thing, I think the ending overview on this site's FFVII page does the best as summing up the theories, and let's just say that they're pretty long =/

I'm sort of disappointed in what the they did with Cloud's hair in the new FF7:AC. I mean it is still pretty cool. But I kind of miss his 3ft tall hair. I guess they just wanted him to look more realistic...but...I miss the wilder hair.

You know what? I think that if Heidegger were shown in Advent Children for some reason, he'd look like Fidel Castro. And, I think Kadaj was summoning metor. Or perhaps some other large, catasrophic summon power that wreaks havoc from above.

We've been having theories about the ribbon on Tifa's arm. You should see it on a picture on Kirgar's post page 36 on this thread. Just different theories on the ribbon.

I think that Aeris will not be seen kicking ass. I think that she's dead but still meets up with Cloud somehow, maybe in the Promised Land as you said, but either way, there is not much she could do in the way of ass-kicking..
