If anyone is interested, I have an old file (from years ago) from the 70's made-for-tv film, The Legend of Lizzie Borden (The Legend of Lizzie Borden (TV 1975 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073273/)). However, I didn't create it and wish I could remember who did it and from what site but nothing comes up in search. I do want to give credit because he or she or they most certainly did a good job. If not mistaken, the source was from a VHS tape. And I'm pretty sure I recall that they recorded every moment of the film where there was music, which was performed by Billy Goldenberg (remember Duel from 1971?) so since its not isolated, there is plenty of dialogue. The film was creepy and music matched it as well. Also, they even named each piece after the scene it implies. Again, if anyone is interested, I'll see what I can do. Note: Ripped at 192.

There was indeed a release on LP (Varese Sarabande) back then, but it never came out on CD. Not event as a limited edition.

I have to agree with the poster above. This is such a wonderful thread (which I only recently discovered) and I too would hope you reconsider and not let it die. Not only do you have such wonderful and rich variety of posts but you also have such a great taste in film music that I have discovered (and rediscovered) quite a few great scores through your thread. I would hate to see it go just because of some stupid people who can't read and/or don't want to listen to the rules (and those people are all over the place - not just the forum but whole darn internet). Sometimes it also might be the english language problem that some people just don't fully understand the posts (without any malice).
Anyway, I wanted to thank you so much for your dedication to this thread, your knowledge about film music and all the hard work.
I truly hope you reconsider and we can continue to enjoy your posts - not just to score some scores (sorry for the pun) but because you selection is really inspiring for anyone who is into film music.

At long last, the new B.W. Sinfonia work has arrived. The only downside is I'm experiencing much more severe mixer's block this go around. These mixes have been great fun and not only a personal journey into myself but also into my music collection and it astounds me how much is just sitting there going to waste so as is the custom, I've taken some of those albums and gave them a makeover. This one was particularly fun because I thought "how can I top myself after vol. 1?" The simple answer is I'm not here to top myself. Goose Creek vol. 1 was fun but there wasn't enough heart to it, just constant bombast assaulting your ears. The music you will hear in this preview follows that same route but there's an interesting reason for that: Brian Tyler and Shirley Walker.

Just by chance during a night of maddening mixer's block I jokingly overlayed a cue from Brian Tyler's Final Destination 5 score over Shirley Walker's Final Destination and within an hour I just had to step away from the computer and ponder at what I had just done. That segment, which starts around the mid-section, is so far my absolute favorite edit that I've done so far. I never thought it would work but after some careful (but minimal) editing I created what I ultimately dub the "Brian/Walker Standoff." I also developed a much deeper appreciation for Brian Tyler as a composer. I didn't think much of it before but not long after overlaying the two cues I was startled at how well the two tracks lined up and at times worked off of each other. Tyler did a fantastic tribute to Walker in his Final Destination 5 score and this is the ultimate tribute. Fans of the two composers will love and appreciate it. Penderecki lovers will also love this cue as during the stand-off to help make the music more interesting I underlaid Penderecki's "Cappricio on oboe" along with some of his choral works over some of the pieces which really gave me chills to hear 3 of my favorite composers all on the same piece working in synchronous harmony to give the piece an even more intense edge.

For the opening of this I hearken back to my first symphony Blood Wings but it's just a tease here. It'll be played to much greater effect as well in the later movements.

That's where I was forced to going back to using my keen knowledge of my film scores to complete the piece. It's still a work in progress and may change but it's in a form I felt comfortable sharing. There's a nice little "Jeepers Creepers 2" creep-in (pun purely intended) towards the end (cementing a thematic base that was played out in movements 2 and 5 of vol. 1) that I was most especially proud of how it was introduced. Listen for yourself to hear it.

I also utilized excerpts of Rogue Banos' score for Evil Dead in bursts towards the beginning that I may incorporate into the next movements. I was completely blown away by his score and it is really building my anticipation for the film which luckily opens the day after I intend of arriving near L.A. after my 4 day solo road trip. I remember crying shouts of outage upon reading the news of the remake many many years ago but now I can't wait!

Don't expect too much of the bombast throughout the next movements as my ultimate goal with the next 5 movements is creating spacing in between the original 6 movements to form a more cohesive and thematic base so when it's all said and done the entire Goose Creek symphony will run 12 movements totalling around 2 hours and 40 minutes but also will be completely re-ordered. The project will not be completed for many months as I'm taking extra time to ensure this as the perfect companion set.

I've pretty much written myself into a wall with the novel so mixing lighter music is vital in order to back myself out of that corner and go investigate the evil forces that await me outside before being blindsided by a blunt hit to the cranium before waking up in a room of clocks. ;)

The preview was a variety of different formats at different bitrates but the final product is mastered in 48k/24bit FLAC.

EXCLUSIVE TO THIS THREAD: For this thread only, I've included a link to Movement 2 of Vol. 2. As expressed in the notes, I went back to my roots while simultaneously creating something new. Once again I utilized composer Penderecki's re-recorded cues for Threnody and Polymorphia which now that I've matured as an artist sound more terrifying than the original pieces. If you know the psychological history behind those two pieces along with my first symphony Blood Wings, you would understand that the first 8 minutes are going to be extremely powerful in this presentation but once the piece "transforms" in the 8th minute, I play a little bit more with the emotional suspense that I hinted at in my temp score for Dead Letter Mail to much grander effect here. Graeme Revell fans will rejoice at my inclusion of what could quite possibly be Revell's most effective music cue to date. I won't ruin the surprise as to which score I used but it will bring a smile to your face. This movement is the final version however I still need to work with the levels a bit before it'll be the final mix but it's an acceptable demo and fans will no doubt enjoy.

Is there any point in asking? It's the internet, it is simultaneously more personal and more distancing. You can get really angry at a post aimed at you and then feel so distant from the other person that you unlease a load of crap in return. In real life you probably wouldn't do it. Well thank you for flattering me but im not even close to what Stereowolf did here... Lets just say that i "can" do this if i have chance...

Which brings me to a important announcement for everyone:

1 - I do not prefer FLAC versions so just do not expect that from me, if it is i post it that way like i did with Maniac
2 - Even if it doesnt look like i do not have many old soundtracks before 1980-70, its a question of my taste i like much more modern horror approache.
3 - If i dont have it i will look for it, if i can say that im good in something its looking for music but still do not take that like promise, i do what i can, thats it.
4 - Im not a robot and it will happen that i will not reply even whole week, i have too many things to do, so i cant always keep up with you, that is not equal to ignorance.
5 - I have something about 500 gig of music overall, and looking everyday for more (even if that can sound impossible, i actually know 99 procent of my collection from head), point is that i do not always looking for scores, so dont hesitate to request something if you dont see me post something myself.
6 - Finally the most important rule what i will demand, do not even think about comenting my english, im selflearner for a few years, everything i know was without teacher, and i was having many fights with native speakers, im just tired of it so much....

Its same by me, i do not own everything only because its commercial success and has a sticker on it "must have" (like pirates of the caribbean) or having "cult" status... My best interest is in dark, depressing and sometimes cacofonic scores which many people are able even listen (great example is game score for Siren: New translation), and much more interest in modern composers from 2000 until now... But i like to know more, so im giving it chance...

Children of the corn are really sometimes retarded, thats right, but still, if i am requested for a movie which has another parts, for me its almost duty to provide every parts. I dont know why im having that need do that, but i can then honestly said "my work is done". Besides Children of the corn II has actually better score then first one, even its a crap of movie, from my experience there is many good scores for stupid movies.... Altough i didnt like any of Boll music tragedies, im not that tough...

About Phantasm III, there was a really small amount of info about this part but after big research i found a explonation why is not released, it goes like this:
Universal which was own rights for a first two movies doesnt want make third, but they offered Coscarelli (director) a deal, that if he will do it himself they will produce it, so basicaly because of small budget, music for this movie was reused from Phantasm II with few additional pieces exclusively for part III. From what i know it was just only more short sounds then songs, so they never released that. Point is that Phantasm III score doesnt exist at all.

But that doesnt mean that i am done yet...

Synopsis: December 21, 2012 is very much a real Armageddon of a day for the inhabitants of Goose Creek, Kentucky. On a seemingly ordinary day, hell breaks loose. The inhabitants must endure alien invasions, psycho killers, bath salt-infused zombies, the spawn of hell and many more all while trying to circumvent the birth of the prophecied Antichrist. Well, even that i trying to quickly recover my lost data from broken disk ( where was my collection ) its little bit harder then i was thought, so i dont know how long will Stereowolf staying here, but i will try keep the goods coming soon, so dont give up on this forum, with or without Stereowolf i would be realy sad if we would let this great thread die...
