Name’s Curtis. I’m not much of a forum frequenter, but I signed up in order to get an osv and so we’ll see if you people are enough to keep me coming back, eh? 😛 j/k I’ve been a long-time Square Enix and Nintendo fan, I play the piano and I love game music in general. Nice to meet you all!

But anyways, like I said… I’ve been into ROM hacking since late 2007, I was first inspired with ROM hacking when I first heard about Pok???mon ShinyGold, a ROM hack of Pok???mon FireRed which soon after I started to mess around with it on AdvanceMap, which I did back in early 2008, but during that time… I created an account on this forum, with Pok???Community being the first forum and website for me to create an account on. My main reason I created my account on this forum was because I was downloading the ripped music from video games at the time.

Years have passed, and wow it has been 4 years since I last logged into this account, which was at the time of my registration on Final Fantasy Shrine. And even before this year… I have been sending password reset emails to an email account I no longer use, so I switched to the one I use nowadays, just as soon as I gained access to my account again.

So what do I do nowadays? Well I’m still ROM hacking as what I did in the past, but nowadays… I research and edit the ROMs of Nintendo DS games like Pok???mon Black Version 2, which I enjoy doing. And my research will also help those that are willing to create their own ROM hacks of Pok???mon Black/White or even Black2/White2. I feel that Nintendo DS games are more easier, ’cause they have file-like headers. As for the GameBoy Advance game, it has all of it’s coding just in one simple binary code.

Other than ROM hacking, I’m a very open person and very social. So feel free to talk to me whenever anyone wishes to, I really enjoy meeting new people, and this would also be why I have logged back into my account. ^^

Correct. When you reach 5 posts, you’ll be moved into the normal usergroup.

I found this place while Googling a couple of curious search terms (all cool terms you can think of don’t you worry, there was no mention of ‘Lemon’ and ‘Party’), tried to register only to find that my email is already registered since 2008! And unusable! Wow.. Anyway, reregistered again like the sickest kid on the block and here I am, at your mercy.

So, after much shenaningans (and a pinch of frustration), I’m finally here to say ‘Hello, I’m new here!’ :3

So yeah, guess I better say a thing or two about myself…uhh… I like videogames. Those are cool. Sometimes I like to play terrible games (and watch bad movies/anime) and then criticise them for a good laugh, but generally I like to play good games, which is obviously subjective but you get the idea. As for genres, I’m pretty into everything. I’m not really the FPS hating guy or the obscure games hating guy. I just try a bit of everything. Generally I seem to go for a lot of JRPGs though, but I actually haven’t played a lot of FF games. I’m pretty big into Shin Megami Tensei though, which is tough considering barely any of those games make it to England.

I’m into writing stuff too, which I do over at DA even though it’s the worst place to upload any piece of literature, but I upload them to a group which generates some helpful feedback. I’m not great at it, but I’m definitely getting better. I’m studying to be a journalist too, so since I’m into writing so much, I might end up typing way more than necessary in my posts so uh, feel free to skim ’em if I actually do decide to post frequently.

Oh, and I guess I like Digimon. My avatar is from Xros Wars after all, even though part 3 of that series is absolutely awful barring the cute little guy in the pic. I like Pokemon a lot too (the games anyway).

And…I think that’s about it. It’s a pleasure to meet you all.

Something about me. hm. I’m actually a hyper casual gamer – I only play a few games but am crazy about the ones I do play. Another thing about being a hyper casual gamer is that I’ve finished almost NONE of the games I play. xD The only ones I’ve actually beaten are Hakuouki (which is laughable) and Mass Effect 1 (currently on the second game and am loving it). I did come close to finishing Crisis Core but then my save file got corrupted and I had to start all over again. D: ‘Beaten’ the first Dissidia with Cloud. Oh, does Pokemon Ruby count? xD

Games which I’ve started but never finished include the original FFs 7 through 10. Harvest Moon: Hero of Leaf Valley and other such stuff. As you can see, I have a penchant for RPGs.

I love writing and drawing and have a DA account though I’m not very active in updating it. I also have a FF.net account were I post fanfiction. You can find me there by my user (tenyumekasumi) though I don’t have much at the moment. I’m continuously updating, though! 😀

And… I should stop here before I go overboard and write a thesis on my life. xD See you guys around!

A majority of the games I own are started and unfinished.

We are Hero and Kitty, for the most part Hero will do most of the posting (Kitty is shy). We both enjoy the Final Fantasy series; Hero has followed the series since Final Fantasy VII first came out, Kitty started late with FFX but didn’t get into it until FFXIII.

Both of us enjoy playing piano, Hero is self taught and writes his own. Kitty has had a couple years of piano lessons and general plays from sheet music. We are both on YouTube under the same name HeroandKitty (all one word). There’s not much on it due to Hero being busy with EMS school and Kitty studying to be a teacher however as we get further into Winter and more into the beginning of Spring the YouTube channel will have more activity on it.

The idea of joining this community was actually Hero’s idea and, admittedly, there’s two reasons for it. First and foremost; Kitty doesn’t know much about Final Fantasy but has thoroughly enjoyed FFXIII and loves the music from the previous games. What better place for her to be exposed to more Final Fantasy content than Final Fantasy Shrine? The other reason is Hero plans to upload some of his own interpretations of the music originally created by Nobou Uematsu.

We hope we can be a contributing part of this community (as far as enjoyable Final Fantasy content).

Hero has been searching for the rules to this forum, specifically pertaining to what is and is not allowed in a profile/signature/avatar/etc. If someone wouldn’t mind posting a link it would be greatly appreciated.

As far as rules go, we’re pretty easy going here. As long as your sig doesn’t have anything blatantly advertising-related or offensive, it’s fine. 😀 I can’t remember the maximum allowed size for a sig banner but it should be mentioned in the relevant section in your profile (accessed from the top of the site).

The most stringent rules are in the music section which relate to uploading specific files which aren’t allowed for legal reasons. The only other rules I can think of are typical things about thread necromancy, especially in the FF sections – please, if it’s not on the first page and hasn’t had a new post in a few months, don’t post in it. Just create a whole new thread on the same subject (the exception to this is ‘stickied’ threads which can be posted in even if there hasn’t been a new post in years, it’s fine.

Anyway, hopefully that hasn’t been too confusing. If you have any further questions, give either Sarah, Jessie, Asamiya or Marceline a yell (they’re the admin ;)), and they’ll try and help you out. Welcome again and enjoy the forums! (It’s good to see new members here for the other sections of the forum which aren’t related to music downloads.) 😀

Via google I was seeking after a rare "Yuji Ohno" OST… and that led me right into this fantastic Forum here.

There’s hardly any activity outside of thanks and such for uploads, and forum games. 99% of the active users are here for the downloads.

Other stuff’s I’m into… Dark Souls, One Piece, The Song of Fire and Ice (Game of Thrones), Silent Hill and Persona series… ya know, all the staples. :3

Hi everyone I’m 20 years old. I’m not new to this forum, when I signed up my e-mail was already in use. I find this hilariously funny because I don’t even remember signing up to this forum haha, could be well over 5 years ago I’m guessing. Lets see, my screen name is moo92, but people call me moo in real life, it’s in my actual name. I’ve enjoyed the FF series since I was small, playing every single one until 9 🙂 My favourite one is number 8, and I played it over and over till it has become an ingrained memory inside me forever. Although, I must say 7 and 6 for me gets an honorable mention award. I want to become an active member so don’t be surprised to see my name pop up around here XD

My first memory of final fantasy, is having nightmares of a ghost train. I guess it sounds a bit stupid, but I used to love Thomas the Tank Engine. started having nightmares about the trains chasing me. Anyway, I was playing final fantasy VIII (my favourite also), which I had received from my older brother, as a birthday gift. He asked me if I remembered playing final fantasy when I was a toddler with him, and I instantly remembered the phantom train. I guess this might seem a bit childish, but when I replayed the game a few years ago, I got chills down my spine from the music, though I can’t figure out why I was so scared.

I’m currently playing through 13, although I think I ruined my team, I die in almost every encounter in Gran Pulse. I would be playing a Realm Reborn as well, though there was a problem with my registration.

I guess that’s it. I’m mostly a lurker, so I guess this is where I fade away…

Not sure how often I’ll end up posting, but I should be around for a while.

I confess that my favorite video game is Kingdom Hearts, but it was Final Fantasy that sparked my interest in that series in the first place.
While I haven’t finished a Final Fantasy game (yet!), I’ve played bits of FFVII, VIII, X, and X-2. I also love the music, particularly the piano soundtracks (which make me want to play every single game, honestly).

I’ll see everyone around here!

I’d have to say I think FFX is my fave. It did take me a while to get into it. The beginning(up until Sin attacks Zanarkand) was a tad confusing at first. I like VII as it is and think ‘upgrading’ it would ruin it, but I would like to see VIII remade with updated graphics and voice acting. I want Final Fantasy II remade as well, because the FMV intro on Final Fantasy Origins was so good. Having the whole game like that would definitely make me more interested in dealing with the leveling up method.

Other games I like are for computers, the Civilization and Age of Empires games, Sierra games(Kings Quest and the like)plus the Sim games(City, Farm, Tower, Earth.). Other video games are Earthbound, Secret of Mana, Terranigma, some of the Zelda games, Secret of Evermore, Metroid, some of the Super Mario Bros series, and more I can’t remember right now.

I grew up with Final Fantasy, so I’ve been a fan of it for as long as I can remember!

Since my hard disc had a crash a few months ago and I’ve lost my music due to stupid iTunes a few days ago (shame on me I didn’t have any backups though), I finally wanna re-collect my music data. That’s why I remembered this board and decided to come back here.

You’ve maybe already noticed due to my bad english language: I’m not from UK or US, but from the small and wonderful nation called "Switzerland" 🙂

I like all sorts of video games. I’m mainly on PC, PS3 and PS Vita.

I got my name from a random name generator in the character creation screen of Anarchy Online.

I’m a Nintendo fan first and foremost, but have dabbled in Sony consoles too, so most of my music know-how is mostly those consoles.

I lurked on this website for many years, and I even joined a couple years back, but I rarely said my thanks when I downloaded stuff from here, such as the video gaming music. Seeing how that kind of behavior is unacceptable (in my opinion at least), I decided to do something about it. Not only will I say my thanks for now on when I download stuff here, but I think it is time that I started uploading and sharing video gaming music with this very community, preferably the ones that are really rare, or ones uploaded by users in a form that is usually unplayable, is uncommon, or takes up a hunk of memory, such as FLAC or APE music files, unless they are converted into more common type of files such as MP3 or WAV files, which many users probably don’t know how to do.

Regarding the situation when it comes to the uncommon music file types, I will ask the original uploader who shared such uncommon music file types for his or her permission on whether I can convert them into both MP3 and WAV file forms and make a separate topic myself with the links towards the files I converted myself, all while giving the original uploader the credits and appreciation for sharing the original files in the first place. I think this would be a great way to redeem myself for not giving appreciation towards all the users who took their time to share the video game soundtracks themselves years ago.

Although honestly, I’m not much of a talker, so I won’t really chat often, and unfortunately with all the things, work, and especially problems I’m facing and dealing with, I probably won’t be uploading as often as I hoped I could, but I will definitely try my best when doing this sort of thing. For now though, I am preparing a soundtrack to share right now as a start.

Order of Final Fantasies I’ve played: XII, X, VII, VIII, IX and currently playing the steam version of III.
Favourite? Probably XII as it was my first, and at the time had just been released. But then it’s the only one I’ve played through several times with the others only played once.
After I complete III I’ll most likely do my second run of X.

I love the music in games – currently in my car I have music from FF games, Street Fighter IV, R-Type, Turrican, Need For Speed, Kirby Returns to Dreamland and Ikaruga just to name a few!

I have also played World of Warcraft, I started back in the summer of ’08, I was pretty much a fan of the past Warcraft games, grew up playing the first two as a kid, and in a nutshell, I feel like the game was more fun during TBC, than it is now. I feel like at this point Blizzard is just keeping the game on life-support so they can milk all the money they still want out of it. Otherwise, they NEED to move on to something new, besides Starcraft II and Diablo III – but these are just my opinions….. Doesn’t mean I speak for everybody or anything, I’m not here to get into a heated discussion over that (that’s what the cesspool of "General Discussion" on Blizzards forums are for).

Besides gaming, I’ve also been a guitar player for the past 14 years. I wouldn’t say I’m a pro, or as good as say Jimmy Page, or Randy Rhoads, or Dragonforce or Powerglove….. but I enjoy playing what I can. Other musical interests have included the Beatles, the Ramones, Green Day, Nine Inch Nails, The Melvins, Nirvana and Red Hot Chili Peppers. And everything else in between.

Anyway, there’s literally only one video game soundtrack I even have, and that’s the 3-disc japan release for Chrono Trigger, which I believe is already uploaded here anyway (I believe I checked not too long ago to make sure). Actually, I do have this one Sonic soundtrack CD….. not for "Sonic CD" or "Sonic The Hedgehog CD", but rather, I think it came with my "Sonic Underground" dvd set, and I don’t remember how many tracks are on it, but one day I’ll get around to ripping it and possibly uploading it.

Otherwise many of the video game OST’s that I do have now, I’ve more than likely downloaded from here, I remember in particular I was looking for the Super Mario RPG one for the longest time, and the Legend of Zelda "Sound & Drama" one. I’ve also recently downloaded the Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask ones 🙂

Anyway, enough for now. I feel like I went overboard with this introduction. So anyway, I will probably retract to my leeching ways once again 😛

As many others posted, I found this forum while looking for certain music scores. The forum has an unprecedented amount of generous people sharing all kinds of rare and amazing scores and I just had to join up. Basically, this kid was having a musical episode in his life.

Eventually, the kid realized that he hadn’t listened to the TRON: Legacy soundtrack. He considered trying to find a definitive official version, but Disney made it difficult with its many exclusives (before it became a apparent that at some point, all the extra stuff was thrown on a random EP). He looked through The Daft Club forum, before someone posted something quite interesting: there was version out there called the Metrotokyo Edition.

He proceeded to arrive at FFShrine to have his findings. Though hesistant to join, he decided to do so. (I can’t exactly remember if this all actually happened the month I joined or if this was earlier. Also not remembered is if something else had caught my attention to join, but that’s not important. This is the best for now).

Though starting off quiet, Hunter became more engaged into the community of FFShrine. What ensued is a series of misadventures, in which he grew to understand more things around him. He made friends, acquaintances, and people he had grudges towards. He found out a lot about his favorite soundtracks. He grew to develop more tastes in his music. He went out and actually contributed something. Though he made his mistakes, Hunter made sure to make the best of his time.

It was more than he had ever done on the internet.

Back, without any actual resentment, HunterTech returns from being thrown off into the real world to reflect on certain choices he had made.

Off to another adventure we will.

Just ask them to change your password for you so you can log on and then set your password to a random string of at least 16 characters. That makes it harder to crack. Also don’t use security questions that are stupidly easy to guess.

My favorite gaming genres are adventure, RPG and fighting. My favorite genres generally lies in classic, pop, bozza nova/jazz, new age… in a nutshell anything classy with good flow and rhythm in it.

found the site by accident whilst surfin’ the net [was looking for a track called Rockin’bird from the Flintstones]…and I’m very impressed…will spend some free time browsing and hopefully being able to contribute too…thanks for allowing me to join!I found this website trully in 2 times. At first I did not remembered about this website while searching for anime soundtracks in the internet, but now I was shocked not long ago finding it back again around the internet and figured again it’s NOT new and I am so convinced.. This website will require a great grade of patience for me to browse for any kind of soundtrack I want because all I trully find is no website that offers lossless anime music for free in the Google search results and it is really stressing me out.. I was having trouble with registering here and now I just got my problem solved. Honestly so glad about joining, and I have even posted on Reddit about the website telling about this awful fail experience, trying to even know the problem.
OH, returning back to what I was saying, in this website there is honestly a mass of content with threads that go to a lot of pages and right now – anxious way too much to browse at this time for the lossless soundtracks.
Not long ago I only have got myself Kill La Kill and Fairy Tail Soundtrack 6 all FLAC from the internet! Now there are a lot people right now to request in the PM any time, but I’m so tired trully from searches

I’m here for the game soundtracks, mostly the stuff from the 80s and 90s. My hobby is tracking down music that sounds similar to the music I know and love from my childhood.

I’m an old anime fan from France, especially interessed in anime soundtracks. I discovered this forum today, and I couldn’t hold back a scream as I saw the lots of OST available here… I’d like to thank all the uploaders, and all the ones who will be able to read my english without smiling ^^

Just a short intro about me –

I’m 34, and have been going after film scores since I was about 12 years old. I used to take a tape cassette recorder and put in front of my TV to record my favorite parts of the music to a show or movie. Hopefully I can contribute in some way here.. I did notice there are some restrictions (no Varese) so I’ll hopefully not do anything I’m not supposed to.

Hello Livio. Nice to see you on FFSF. I am also very new and I am attempting to adjust to how it works.

Looks like a really cool place to hang out. Love music, movies and the novelty of talking to folk from all corners of the globe.

That never grows old. I remember the days of Pen Pals (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pen_pal). At one time the only way to communicate with folk abroad.

How on earth did we get by without the internet?
