mr. gold and jessie helped me to get everything done into recovery :)

i used web.de for my account email and jessie told me that this service is not working here anymore. that's why i never received the confirmation/recovery email.
it's recommended to use gmail as your new email address, as this service works much better with ffshrine recovery service. also make sure
to check your email after recovery for the reactivation link in order to fully unlock your account.

I was on here a few times Sunday morning/afternoon but that night I was unable to log-in. Just now regained access by resetting PW. Never had an issue before. Same email (aol) and PW since I first registered years ago! Hopefully this is not going to be a regular occurrence. Glad to be back!

Who knows for sure. Forum had a "Database Error", it came back online and every user found him/herself logged out of the account, password not being recognized.

If you've managed to recover the account by yourself, requesting (and receiving) a password-reset mail… You're fine.

Personally, I would advise everyone to change the e-mail/password you had before the whole thing happened to new ones; while it is my understanding that no "leak" occurred, one could never be too sure.

you have to post two more comments. You can only send Jessie a PM, when you reach 5 posts, or something like that.
After that you have to wait about 30 minutes or 2 hours, I think... I don't remember exactly. Then try again.

Tell Jessie your username ("Glichmur") and your e-mail, with which you have signed up with the first account.

Jessie will then send you a new password via e-mail. :)

Forum went offline for more than an hour (Database Error), it came back online and every user found him/herself booted out of the account, password no longer being recognized, everyone had to change it. To top it all off, the forum isn't sending password-reset e-mails to some mail providers.
It is my understanding that nobody has any clear idea about what happened.

Is there a certain time of the day that you check the chatroom?

I've been getting emails up the butt from members who have locked themselves out by changing their passwords or whatever. Apparently chat isn't fast enough for them.
I've been using a form response just telling them to be patient, but should I be forwarding their details via PM to Jessie? I assume that if he was intent on getting these people logged back on he'd be watching the Chat like a hawk, but since he has a life of his own this seems to not be happening.
So should I continue telling these people to be patient?

Moderator of one of the subforums here, and I'm saddened to tell you: good luck with that, last I heard work was still getting done "about it"; at any rate, I don't see how that is the Shrine's problem, really, I mean… Users are being idiots and spamming every channel, as a network-owner myself, I say something is ultimately wrong with those users, that isn't really the Shrine's fault, won't you agree? The Shrine has a channel of its own, kindly hosted and they'd patiently stick to that one, if they were smart. People's idiocy is not "our" fault.
Either get in touch with Sarah and ask to speed things up (as far as I understand, she's the only one who can fix serious technical issues within this "place"), or do as you please, the network is yours, in the end.
