Buying/Preordering the DS

Hey guys. I just this minute pre-ordered my Nintendo DS with Mario 64 DS, Mr Driller: Drill Spirits and Feel the Magic XX/XY. Tell me, are you gonna be doing the same, or buying it after release? Don’t just say you will or won’t, say why, if you are, what games you’re getting with it, etc.

I’m buying it because it’s impressed me, and I just love nintendo <3

I would pre-order, but the only place I’m going to be able to get one is Lik-Sang (at the American release, anyway – it won’t be in stores over here until March next year 🙁 ).

I’m just going to wait for the release, and order it when Lik-Sang get it back in stock. I’m probably only going to go with Super Mario 64 DS at first, and see what else tickles my fancy after.

I’m not going to pre-order it, import or otherwise, but I’m likely to get it soon after release.

Games wise, I’m most likely after Super Mario 64 DS, Metroid Hunters (I’ll play the free demo first though) Also looking forward to Goemon DS, since I’m a whore for Goemon.

I’m not buying it straightaway, but I will be getting it somewhere down the line. Hopefully in the not-too-distant future.

The games that I’m the most interested in are probably Super Mario 64, Metroid Hunters, Advance Wars, and Animal Crossing. I haven’t heard of Feel the Magic XX/XY- I think I shall have to search for information about it.

I’m also very impressed with the Nintendo DS; Then again, I like them much more than Sony and Microsoft. Right now, there isn’t anyway for me to afford the DS soon after the release. So I haven’t been looking up much information about games that will be coming out for this handheld. When it gets closer to the time I will be able to purchase it, then I’ll start looking at games a lot more. But still, I definately want Super Mario 64 and Metroid Hunters.

Why?

Afraid of cheap, high quality, high graphics power systems?

I honestly don’t see what’s wrong with the GC. It does have some high quality games that are highly enjoyable. I won’t get a DS because handhelds aren’t really my thing. =p

I think Neo Zahn covered my opinion perfect.

Gamecube is a great system. I love it. I love Nintendo as well.

But I wont ever buy the DS because it’s too much money to spend on something that I will only be using for car or plane trips.

Also, they’ll most likely be cheaper. And I’m importing specifically because of the ridiculous release date in australia/uk. March? Why?

Importmadness? I’ll check it out. I went with Lik-Sang to order in my Famicom Mini Super Mario Bros because they’re in Hong Kong – i’m pretty sure we’ve got a FTA with them, and they’re a bit closer. It only took about 3 days to get here.

Everything else, well, depends how fast you want it. 5-7 days, go to videogamesplus.ca, 1-2, importmadness. Videogamesplus are probably cheaper and have better customer service.

The DS is going to be released at $149.99.

You know mmm, since you obviously want to become my PR when I become this famous Video Game Designer, you should just go ahead and buy a DS for me. 🙂
