Actually, I just noticed sigma62 already pointed that out in this thread.

Did you tag them that way? With the wrong composer? If so, maybe add a note to your original post so people can change it.

All of the Turok GB/C games were developed by Bit Managers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bit_Managers), which Alberto co-founded. He did the music for every one of their games.

I just noticed that some of the are work was new so I decided to re-download all of the content again, and I was happily surprised to see some new Albums, new artwork, more complete metadata, and unfortunately for others some missing albums. Thanks for your efforts once again! You are a true artist! The new stuff is amazing especially the orchestra versions!
Anyway I'll voice this once again for those of us with uncompromised music appreciation. Gerbur! Please Consider a FLAC, APE, Applelossless, AIFF, WAV or any Un-Compressed, or Lossless format! After your investing of soooo much time and effort into creating such a complete series of albums, why decide to reduce the quality so far! It seems like a bit of a waste to have in the end a narrowed bandwidth & tinny audio reproduction of such a beloved collection.
If it is a question of downloading/Uploading, Wait times, or the need for some people to compress there music, or what ever, I think most would agree that a choice for a better sounding version is preferable, than not having a choice and simply enduring the lower quality rip's! Now-a-day's it's too easy to compress music if that is desired. After all, in the end it's mostly about the enjoyment in the music! Ultimately, I appreciate all that you've done here, and consider this as a simple suggestion for the next time you consider refining this wonderful collection.
Thanks for your consideration Gerbur...

Cool rips. First N64 rip of Turok 2's "Port of Adia" I've heard which includes the best part of the song at the end (final 30 seconds). Unfortunately, the PC rip ends just before it, meaning it's not a complete cycle of the song before it begins looping.

If you or whoever did the rip could redo the track and include this excellent bit, I'd greatly appreciate it. Also if it's not asking too much, could you do a special extended rip of "Port of Adia" (both N64 and PC versions)? After that really killer part mentioned above, I enjoy letting the song play. I used to sit at the TV and just play the music to this game. A 10–12 minute (whatever it comes out to) continuous flow of this track would be much appreciated.

I just downloaded a random rip of Turok 2's PC soundtrack from a site

And the quality was awesome... [/sarcasm]

It was high quality MP3 files, with a high sample rate of 24 kHz, and a super high quality bitrate of 56 kbps. No, I didn't miss the '2' before 56. It was actually 56 kbps.

So I'm glad these are much MUCH higher quality. 44100 Hz at around 256 kbps.

One thing I don't get...
Why is "The Death Marshes" on the PC completely different to both the N64 versions, and the Violence Killer Turok: New Generation soundtracks? It sounds pretty much the same as "Warp Gate", except just a bit different.

Oh he's pretty much alive alright.

This re-arrangement (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tz-QMgIU0B8) was made under his watch.

He didn't compose the music for 3 because he was promoted to lead audio supervisor for Acclaim Austin after Seeds of Evil and Rage Wars were completed.

Black magic handed down to me by ancient aliens.

Jokes aside, my first experience with ripping game music came from doing the same thing as you as a kid.
As the years passed, I figured how to do "line-in" ripping, where you connect the Audio plugs on the n64's composite A/V cable to your sound-card's Line-in input and use an audio recording software to capture the audio.

I saved these tracks as raw WAV files which I later edited to make them sound like an official work.

You can probably still find my old, out-of-date, craptastic recordings if you look for them, back then I didn't give a shit about audio quality or proper editing, listening to them is a nightmare, to me anyway.

Geez, I really like the pc version of T2 over the n64 but i wonder what were they doing to make the track loop so in such crappy way compared to the n64 track. not to mention the oblivion stage theme is 50 seconds and way behind the n64 variant.
Whats stranger is that the oblivion theme from the first oblivion portal cutscene seems to be missing altogether. What?

This collection and artwork is most excellent. I was recently composing my favorite N64 games and FPS games on Favslist.com and remembered Turok. I remember how muched I loved the game and even the music. I saw a video of the first level of Turok 2 and forgot how awesome the Port of Adia music was. Since then, I've been looking to add the OSTs and remixes to my collection. I can't thank you enough for spending the time to make this collection and share it, as well as provide it with a great presentation - Love that artwork.

You are the best person ever, these soundtracks are so awesome.

Turok was a fun game but the soundtracks were the best part, all that bongo beating madness, and the remixes to Dinosaur Hunter have left me mind blown!

Much respect to you good sir!!!

Just wanted to say thanks for this thread and for getting the Violence Killer soundtrack like I suggested. It's awesome! Slaughter by the River of Souls on the Violence Killer soundtrack is amazing.

I'd love to get them if you could share with us? (though pity that titles were removed as well at this point)
Thanks.

As an N64 fanboy from day 1 (March 1997 in Spain, though), I have a long relationship with classic Turok.
I didn't arrive to this thread in time, but I'm curious about what exactly it contained. If someone still has a working link to anything or can at least illustrate me, that'd be nice.

hey, it contained all the Turok 1,2,3 and Evolution soundtracks / gamerips for both PC and N64 as well as some remix EPs that were released. also the official Turok 2 OST titled "Violence Killer". and yes, i have them all.

I understand why you can't keep it updated, but atleast allow someone to share it.
