Okay, folks. Here it is: Doom (2016), the Complete Score. This has been mine and Skelly's pet project for the past week. We mixed all the tracks together and then I played through the game with nothing but the music turned on to place the tracks. It consists of three discs. The first disc is the music from the Campaign, in order of appearance. Obviously some tracks get used throughout the game and others don't, what're ya gonna do. This is every single song that appears throughout the entire Campaign of DOOM (2016). The second disc features the Multiplayer Music as well as a full 16 minute version of the SnapMap music. And lastly, the third disc is a bit of a bonus disc. It features unused cues (tracks that were on the GameRip but never appeared in the game) and the trailer music from all five trailers, plus the Quakecon & E3 demo music as well. Additionally, if you want more cover art options, you can find the rest of my variants here (Thread 90457). So, without further ado, let's jump right in:

I had a lot of fun working on this with Max! I've never played a DOOM game and I probably never will, but Mick Gordon's pulsing score was pretty fun to listen to regardless. I really encourage you to check out the rest of the covers Max prepared; there's so much cool stuff he did.

We edited cues so that each segment would naturally move to the next. I hope you like the choices we made!

Huge thank you for this, Max and Skelly! Not only have I been listening to this score a lot on YouTube lately, but also Mick's score to Wolfenstein: The New Order, which is also fantastic. This score just gets you so pumped though!

I LOVE the score to Wolfenstein. I've mixed a complete score to that as well, but I'm missing a few cutscene tracks that were embedded in the video files, so as soon as I figure out how to get those tracks, I'll release the complete Wolfenstein TNO and TOB scores on here.

Yes, sir. Everything on here except for the trailer tracks and the SnapMap cue is mixed from OrangeC's VGM Legacy rip.

Doom3 is an excellent one to play. The story is compelling for a horror game of its time.
The multiplayer aspect never really appealed to me.
They released the source code to the game, but I haven't really looked into mods for it.
It definitely would have made a better movie if they rendered the game as a movie, even if they had to cut down a lot.

The classic Doom is great for quick games. There's a lot of mods for the Classic Doom. Some of the mods sort of goes along the same lines as heavy metal: extra blood, gore and more demonicry. Just more more more.
But, there's some funny mods, too.

Not really quite sure what you're asking here, but if you mean which bits from OrangeC's Rip went into it, it's the Combat Industrial 04 track.

It definitely would have made a better movie if they rendered the game as a movie, even if they had to cut down a lot.

The Doom movie from 2005 was actually based directly off of Doom3, except they changed demons to aliens and just fucked it up beyond all recognition.

As Skelly said it was very likely just us exporting a different settings. Thankfully it shouldn't make too much of a difference when listening to it. You can read more about this if you have like zero knowledge on this type of thing here (http://www.tested.com/tech/1905-the-real-differences-between-16-bit-and-24-bit-audio/). If it's a matter of principle, feel free to let me know which tracks are 16bit and I'll go back through them.

I am sure this was a lot of work so I can't complain but it is odd having a mixture of bit depths and sampling rates when it sounds as if it could have all been done consistently across the board with the same settings.

What were the original files?

I know several games have different bitdepths and sample rates all around.
I wouldn't advise upscaling any sample rates to keep it all the same.

The only thing worth reworking is dithering 24bit files to 16bit.
Or if they're 32 floating point, that's probably just an early version of the program. Star Wars Battlefront had an early development where it would decode as 32 floating point, which is now deprecated and there's better and updated versions that don't decode to overbloated 32fp.

Apologies, everyone, for the delay. I was out of town on business and was quite literally no where near my desktop. I've checked out all the tracks. 29 did clip a bit, 50 looped itself for some reason, and Rip and Tear was missing to cues. I'm not sure how this happened, but I've managed to fix those problems. You can download a zip file with the rectified tracks here (https://mega.nz/#!LAEi1b5R!UADAii2ueUapIoj5MEAqdxYySVc9hT_lg_a_vzcxgp0). As for Track 1-44, I've listened to it all the way through several times and there's nothing wrong with it. I'll update the download link for the Disc 1 zip file when it's done uploading to MEGA. And I'll be posting a link to mp3 files once those are done uploading as well for anyone who doesn't have space for the larger lossless files.

No problem! Thanks for the fixes, here's what I mean by cutoff in 1-44:

By clipping glitch I meant those little parts extending all the way up to 22, they usually appear in mp3 files that clip a lot even when they are cut off at 20kHz.

Also here's the beginning of Cyberdemon, compared to the rest of the track it still looks weird (no other track has a cutoff like that, even partially):

Could you take another look at those? I would really appreciate it!

Edit:

1-29 still has a cutoff, see here:

So does 1-50:

Could you remove the pictures from your quote? It's a bit redundant :P

Well, like I said: None of the other files look this way, the "original" Cyberdemon looked just like "Break Them" before the fixed version got posted. So maybe something went wrong during the encoding/decoding process somewhere (gamefiles -> wav -> DAW -> wav export etc). It's happened to me before.

Also, all the other files are 48kHz, and these aren't - so again the different encoding process comes to mind. So I'm just asking him to take another look at the entire thing, to make sure nothing went wrong anywhere and the gamefiles do look like that.

No idea why the files look the way they do in those pictures. It's taken directly from the source, mixed, exported in FLAC at the same settings as the source, and then converted to ALAC. So, I have no idea, nor a clue on how to make it not do that. I'm just going on how they sound and they all sound the same.

I'm not planning on correcting the 16/24 differences because it sounds EXACTLY the same, so I see no reason to. I convert to ALAC because I put my stuff in iTunes. I'd export to m4a straight from Audacity, but it only does m4a AAC, not ALAC, so I export to FLAC then convert.

Anyway, for AFMG and anyone else not currently taking crazy pills: here (https://mega.nz/#F!KZEEGbCI!G772z7wtPr6abxBha67xMA)'s a link to a folder where you should be able to grab the files from Disc 1 separately.

Can you upload Flac version ? , please...

It may cost you a precious five minutes of your life, but you can convert the ALAC to FLAC pretty easily.

I recommend foobar2000. You put there the FLAC codec easily free to download by googling it.

Or.. grab VLC which can read M4A.

I LOVE the score to Wolfenstein. I've mixed a complete score to that as well, but I'm missing a few cutscene tracks that were embedded in the video files, so as soon as I figure out how to get those tracks, I'll release the complete Wolfenstein TNO and TOB scores on here.

This is so great, that you did it! I wanted to make it as well, but thanx goodnes, I won't do it xD I guess, it is difficult in the same way, this DOOM ost is difficult to do. Can't wait for it, hope you will post it soon.

Do you think, it is possible to extrack the music from the video files somehow? I don't think it is possible.

You could convert it yourself. Foobar2000, dbpoweramp music converter or some other software can be used.

No, it's not possible to grab the tracks from the videos because they're embedded in them, unfortunately. We could try to mix down the SFX and other audio but it wouldn't sound pristine.

Agree.
Disc 1, tracks 2 and 4 are prime examples of this.

Until new mp3 version is uploaded, or we get an official release, the workaround is to download the alac version. You can easily convert this to the mp3 version using the free totalaudioconverter tool. Get it from the sourceforge page here (https://sourceforge.net/projects/taudioconverter/).

A few questions:
1) While each combat track is split into segments, each segment also has "intro" part and sometimes an additional part at the end, how did you pick out the looping part?
2) In 17. Flesh & Metal, I found 1:05-1:42 part in the original files but there are no extra drums, where do they come from?

This is a summary for anyone who finds this post by OP (Thread 205305) but not this (Thread 205305) or that reply (Thread 205305): don't download MP3 version from here (https://mega.nz/#!LIUEnKSY!MHB8pXYSBmbz7INu9asFL-qwVJRJEhbFWfN0ng98FT4), you'll get at the very least 20/50 corrupted tracks (playing with lots of loud static noise) on disc #1 alone, better grab lossless ver. of CD1 from here (https://mega.nz/#F!KZEEGbCI!G772z7wtPr6abxBha67xMA) (you can click "download as ZIP" button in the right upper corner of the screen so that you won't have to DL 50 (!) M4A files one by one (!!) ).

BTW I found working MP3s somewhere else so that I can upload CDs #2&3 to Mega or GDrive if anyone needs them. I guess I can up CD1 too if someone doesn't want to get that ALAC MEGA variant for some reason, just tell me if it's actually needed.

GoodBye everyone and keep enjoying this awesome score as well as many other works by Mick Gordon!

I'm the guy who posted this. About the MP3 link in that video, i fixed all the problems in all the tracks that were described, basically I converted the M4A files to MP3 where it was necessary, so that MP3 archive is ok, it has no glitches and no corrupted tracks. So you can grab that one, if you like.

Here's the DL link so you won't have to open the video:
MP3: https://dl.orangedox.com/6UVmQFiqAiKRBCS6DK
Lossless: https://mega.nz/#!dsRHUB6A!JanvbPPxCRBGC9n2C78B1LDJi3g4hok5V9zIR9Q2xq0 (This is my lossless archive as well, but If I recall correctly it is just the same thing from this thread's OP post)
