Will FFXI be worth playing online? I don’t think that Square is ready for online. Costs will be monthly, plus you have to purchase the playstation hard drive to play it. Thats spending quite a bit of money just to play FFXI. Im sure you could play w/o a hard drive, but how effective would that be? Since they aren’t able to patch updates into your PS2 Ram, rumors of requiring a hard drive have been floating around which would only make sense. For example, in the online multiplayer game Everquest when something goes wrong, or the game has an exploit that people use to their advantage they patch it, w/o a PS2 Hardrive this would be very difficult, if not impossible.

But then again it may turn out to be a great game. Square has pulled the impossible off before…. will they do it again?

Whats your opinion? :p

Square is ready. Theyve created the biggest gaming franchise and have even made a movie. A crappy movie, but they still did. Hell if Everquest and DAoC are considered good… Then FF11 Is gonna ownzors!!!!11
