Well considering the word Ultima is a derivative of the word Ultimate, which means best, it’s hard to say anything but Ultima is the best.

My favorite would have to be Meteor from FFTactics, that thing hits half the battlefield, simply awesome.

NO WAY!!!!!!! ULTIMA ON VII IS THE BEST SPELL EVER JUST CAUSE THE NOISE OF IT IS AWESOME AND SO IS THE GREEN BUT THE ULTIMATE spell would have to be KOTR of coures.

I dunno KOTR is a summon not a spell, ultima is pretty cool but Meteo from the early ff’s is pretty beasty

Ummm….do you have a favorite spell too? Another good one would be Quake3 on VII. I like how all of the things protrude out from the monster don’t you? It is really cool looking.

My favorite spell of all ? Osmose in Final Fantasy VI. Because with it you’ll practically never worry about running out of MP.

Ultima is so weak. you’d think that since it says "ultima" that it would be the best magic. But say in ff8, it’s junk. Kuja’s ultima doesn’t count because it’s not castable by you. I like the idea and look of comet2 in ff7, but it’s really not that powerful. The End has got to be the most powerful magic.

If you’re going to disqualify Kuja’s "Ultima" because your characters can’t cast it, then it seems to me that you have to disqualify The End also. That’s not really magic, it’s a Limit Special.

hmm. I consider The End a magic, because all of the other things in selphie’s limit are magic. I suppose we can include kuja’s ultima, but I don’t like it because it kills all on screen and I didn’t think it was all that cool.

if you don’t like violence then you are playing the wrong game. as far as selphies limit breaks go i consider it spells.

I’m not saying that I’m disgusted by the fact that people die when he uses it. I don’t like the spell because it’s illogical to use, since it hurts the caster. Same with doomsday.

I haven’t used it since I played ff9 for the first time, but I don’t recall being all so impressed, much like I was not impressed by the rest of FF9.

somewhat impressed i liked FF7-8 a whole lot more. ha ha! i just rembered something, when i used Cait Sith’s slot limit break (which i consder a spell because most of the effects are spell like) i got a game over which really sucked but hey thats life

Well, I happen to like the Enemy Skill spells in FFVII and FFVIII also known as Blue Magic. Meltdown in FFVIII was quite useful as well, and Ultima was always a handy little spell to have handy. But Meteo from FFIV, the last spell Tellah uses, that was impressive.
