I got down to the 18th floor and all the enemies were piss-easy. And then I saw this massive red dragon in the hall and I thought it would be a challenge, and the Elder Drake killed all my people in one attack. I’m on level 45 and I thought that I would train in the Via Infinito, but it was too hard. Has anyone got a strategy to beating Elde Drakes?

Avoid it. Generally, the thing jumps in and out of a little nook in the wall. Wait for it jump out, duck back in, and then blow straight by that sucker. In the later levels, they will appear with more frequency and also Mega Tonberries will start appearing, but you can avoid fighting all of them if you activate the right switches and stuff. If for some reason you’re still not able to avoid the Elder Drakes, I’ve read that Berserkers with Evade and Counter ability are your best bet.

Yup, you can avoid those things (something I didn’t know my first time down). And as Agent mentioned, having Evade and Counter learned on Berserkers is your best strategy cause they will dodge almost all of his attacks, and counter!

Or you could use Cat Nip with a Gunner when you will reach the Dark Elemental boss. But the strategy of Agent 0042 is best than that.

I’d say level your team up,but that’s if you can’t past them all the time. And the enimies get tougher as you go deeper.I’m on level 90, and the drakes and the tonberries are the weakest things there.Even if you do the gunner with the cat nip, you would have to do it 2-4 more times to kill them. And now I’m scared to to fight Trema now.

Yeah, but it gets harder to do that as you go deeper.Sometimes they’re put in spots were you can’t pass them. And Sephiroth’s brother, yeah it reaches to 100.But when you reach it, you have to fight trema. He’s 10 times harder to beat than Sin,but that’s how I feel about it.

Well it gets to 99, then infinity. But it’s just the one floor. There’s another hole on that floor and if you jump down it, you’ll end up back on the surface with the kinderguardians.

You can avoid every single Elder Drake and Mega Tonberry if you wanted to,
