Where is the most common area you can find them? (other than underwater reasearch facility and Galbadia Garden)

Is there a purpose you are interested in them?

i think you can just find them in those places that you just mentioned, quikspy. i think those are the only places where you can find them.

The areas in which you can find Tri-Faces (apart from those you have mentioned) are at the Island Closest To Heaven and Balamb Garden MD Level (during the segment where you have to activate the Garden’s ‘secret’). Out of those, Heaven would be the more desired area, but I do recommend the Deep Sea Research Centre; you will get fixed encounters of them here (on the screen after Zell activates the machine to open the large door).
