Yep, love them. Their Man With The Machine Gun and Otherworld versions were great.

Ahhh… tis the sound of instruments of the composer, indeed can be used as an instrument of death. Yes, the guitars are splendid… the last track of the second version is a favorite.

Hell yeah! The Black Mages rock so incrediebly hard. It shows exactly what Uematsu was wanting to do with his music for a very long time (although I’ve only heard the first one, my favourite tracks were Dancing Mad, Clash on the Big Bridge (aka Battle With Gilgamesh), J-E-N-O-V-A, and Those Who Fight Further).

Be interesting to see what tracks the third BLM album will feature though (crosses fingers for Battle 1 and The Dark Messenger from FFIX 😀 ).

Yep, The Black Mages are great. I got the CD at home. I heard they are working on a second Black Mages album already….. Just too bad I have no further informations about it. But one thing is sure, I need to get this one too. 🙂

There is already a second album to Black Mages my friend. You can find it… mmm… Wait until I actually give you a site where you can download it for no expense at all. I have to go home to find it in my textfiles. I am currently at school right now.

I’ve only heard one of their tracks, Those Who Fight Further, and it was great. Anybody know where I can get the albums?

its a little too hardxcore for me – especially since its final fantasy music. FFX’s Otherworld by the black mages was just weird 🙁

One of the problems in downloading music is that you’re never sure if the music you’re listening is the authentic version, especially when you never it beforehand.

I was downloading the Black Mages first album and noticed differences between the soundtracks I download from many sources:
the one at http://www.sound-test.org/ sounds incomplete, http://bluelaguna.net/ got the music from the same source as the previous one
and http://www.ffdream.com/, I’m not even sure… and I haven’t started with the download link posted in this forum.
In any case, when I was comparing two versions(sound-test and ffdream) of the same soundtrack like dancing mad, it’s as if somebody moved pieces of a soundtrack here and there.

Can anyone help me in choosing which one is the real and unaltered version?

I got it from FFDream and I think its right. Comparing it to tabs and live versions the songs seem like they should be.

I love them. I have their version of "The Skies Above" and I’m looking for more.
They’re pretty good.
