Seymour? 1st fight

HOW do you beat him? the strategy guide says i should be doing 9999 with shiva. I can barely do 4750…..and his multi magic attacks take out a character every round….if not 2.

Use Yuna to cast each those Nul-whatever magics on everyone, so that Seymour can’t affect you anymore. XD If Shiva isn’t doing much for you, try using different aeons or whatever.

If you’ve already tried those, I’ll *try* to think of something else.. :B

What should my HPs be around for this fight? My highest right now is Auron w/ 2230 or so……..rikku hasnt broken 1000, and neither has Yuna. in the Strategy Guide, it mentions using Bio on him, which i wont get for a while (just reached the part of the sphere grid where i can get it, but its gonna be at the end of that circle….

Your HP’s are alright. I remember having the same amount of HPs as you have, Auron being above 2000 and Rikku & Yuna around 1000, slightly over it. I would recommend using Haste, I assume you have it, you should’ve acquired Bio by now, but rest assured, it’s not needed at all.

I have no specific key moves to share. I don’t remember that did Shiva do 9999 with Diamond Dust, but it sure killed Seymour’s guardians, which allowed Tidus to unleash attacks with Haste (overdrive mode on Warrior, of course). You should really abuse Tidus, as you know his strength increases when he talks to Seymour.

Stick with Teknowoman‘s suggestion, cast each Nul-Elemental you have (right, all four of them *grins*) and that’s about it.

Only thing i dont get about the Nul-magics is they protect the "party from one magic attack" so -someone- is gonna get hit, as he uses the multi-magic attacks.

You use Yuna to cast each Nul magic on each party member that your using. So, if Seymour casts magic, it basically won’t affect them. No HP will be taken off. Get what I’m saying, TeknoTal? XD

Eh, i got past him…barely. now im on the airship. the guide mentions having items that have SOS Regen on em….how and where do you get these?

Hum…probably by customizing some armor…:p Sorry, I forgot…But if you DO have the guide, it’s BOUND to say how somewhere in it :p Unless we don’t have the same guide, of course lol Which is unlikely…

i beat him aorund 8 times lol so this is what i did…(havent played it in a while)

BUY MANY POTIONS AND ANTI- POTIONS
1. do not use ur aeons until he summons anima..(make sure one of them is at overdrive) Use like auron kimahri and tidus to hit the guards and seymour… have rikku steal from both the guards to stop them from regenerating

2. after that it shouldnt take long to get rid of the guards. Use lulu’s magic on seymour when ever u get the chance until seymour summons anima

3. when seymour summons anima, use your overdrive aeon and the rest of the aeons (how ever many you need) until anima is dead.

4. when its just between you and seymour hit im full thrust but watch out for when he casts magic on one of ur characters so u end up killing each other… from there it should be a breeze..

btw untill ur (third i think) fight with belgimine the only way to train ur aeons is to train yuna – i activated every node with yuna until cura and all my aeons overdrives do 9999
