Question – recording with DVD’s.

I am a lazy person who’s never found a RIP for "Ribbit King" (bizarre Gamecube masterpiece with funky music) and wanted to make one for myself. So, I decided to do a "poor man’s rip," recording game footage with my DVD recorder, then recording songs off it with my computer.
I was just wondering if anyone knew if this is going to tear apart the sound quality. I’m listening to it, and it sounds okay, but I’m not entirely sure if it’s perfect – there are some blips and microscopic skips, but I think the game’s coding might just be that way. Would changing recording speed make a difference? If anyone has any other quick, easy ideas (I mean really easy – I’m so lazy it’s not funny) that don’t involve buying cables ‘n’ stuff, I’m open, too.

I use a DVD ripper to convert the DVD files to video files on my had drive and then use WinFF to convert those video files to MP3s. I do something similar with video I downloaded online with music I love.
