Does anybody buy them? Today I went to the mall in Lincoln (I live in Nebraska) and at a game store I bought Devil May Cry 2 and ATV Offroad Fury 2 for $12 and $10 and they were in suprisingly good condition and then I got a free third game so I chose Enter the Matrix which was as well, in good condition. So do any of you buy pre-used games? I think if you go to a nice store you could find some really nice ones for sale.

I stopped buying used games way back in the day when I got a copy of Jedi Knight 2, and it had a hammer blow in the bottom of the second CD.

The last owner had HIT IT WITH A HAMMER.

yes because if you by them at eb games they are for sure to work

ones I have bought used: Xenosaga episode 1
Devil may cry
Tekkin tag tournament
They all work just fine even today(I bought them last year).

What, you think EB tests every game that comes their way? I just got Metroid: Zero Mission for the GBA, and the save battery was fucked. The good thing about EB is that if you return it in 7 days, they don’t give a crap – they’ll credit it out.

I get heaps of pre-owned games- my budget is too tight to handle brand new games all the time :p

I actually just got Metroid Prime pre-owned – perfect condition, and the proper box instead of the annoying player’s choice one.

Once I bought a used copy of Maximum Carnage at a used videogame shop in Korea(can’t remember the name) and it was broken, so I have made it a point to get games that are brand new.

you do know that "pre-used" would mean… new, right?

I just bought an old playstation game called Overboard for $3 at a garage sale. Provides some cheap thrills.

I got a few other games off Ebay too, and they’ve all been in pretty good condition. I don’t game that much anymore, but I haven’t bought a new game in ages.

But I think people have been meaning pre owned anyway.

The only used games I’ll buy are from Gamefly.

It’s great because I get to try the game out before I actually purchase it, so I know that it works… plus they give subscribers pretty much the lowest price ever.

I never buy used games anymore. In fact, I can’t remember if I have even done that in my life…

Yeah, I seriously don’t think I’ve ever purchased a used game before. Unless there is one or two that I just can’t seem to remember. But nothing has come up yet.

I just generally hate buying used games/products. When I want something, I’ll put out the extra money to assure I’m getting a quality product.

Well, seeing that you are at the FFShrine I think you should watch your mouth.

That’s whats nice about the store in Lincoln, they have a 90 day "test period" where you can take it back if it is defective. Any store that will let you take it back in a particular time period is great because some PS2 units won’t read a disc that another one would. Like mine, I went and got my FFX disc sanded to where it looked perfect and my PS2 STILL wont play it. ;_;

I bought a Used version of Red Faction 2 and it’s case looked like crap, but it ended up working just fine.
