Operetta Tanuki Goten (Princess Raccoon) (lossless/flac)
In this colorful feature film from 2005, a ruthless King, worried his popular son will unseat him, banishes the young Prince to a land of raccoon-like demons ("Tanuki") where he falls dangerously in love with their Princess-leader. The Raccoon Court does not approve of the romance and the Prince is taken prisoner, but escapes with the help of the Princess. The King is furious and is determined to separate the lovers, even if it means death. Described as an "opera-fairytale," the film featured elaborate sets, music, singing and dancing. The 14 vocals in the score are anything but opera! Most are pop songs utilizing various singers, and include an unexpected rap number as well as reggae! 6 of these songs were written by Yoshio Misawa and 1 (the final track) is credited to someone named "Nargo". The remaining 7 were written by Oshima. That leaves 12 tracks of orchestral score by Oshima, who starts things off with a lilting waltz (a tune that repeats throughout) and closes with another waltz, this one grand and dramatic.

26 tracks on Jasrac MTCA #1020. Released in 2005.
The 6 vocals by Misawa are tracks 6, 7, 13, 16, 20, 21.
Track 26 is a vocal credited to "Nargo"
